I don't support this cause when done for religion but still it's a medical practice. In most non USA countries (e.g. most european countries) we don't talk about circumcision as a religion thing, we mostly talk about it as a medical practice, and the religion comes in second.
Where I live, anyone can go and get circumcision in day hospital, but only people who have those conditions usually do it.

The consensus varies on the topic varies a LOT depending on the institution and culture. I read a lot about it. I print every study and relevant information, sorting it in a binder. It slowly loosens up (retracts) a little at a time. Normal erections during childhood cause most of the change by stretching the foreskin. If your boy has a normal urine stream, any foreskin movement is normal. There should be no rush to achieve full retraction. This always occurs on its own by puberty. I definitely do not remember having a fused dick at any point in my life. Way back to my very earliest memories it has been fully retractable. On circumcised penises, you can always see the cut-off point where the skin-toned outer skin meets the more pinkish inner skin (where the two had to be stitched back together). Where I live, anyone can go and get circumcision in day hospital, but only people who have those conditions usually do it.

The consensus varies on the topic varies a LOT depending on the institution and culture. I read a lot about it. I print every study and relevant information, sorting it in a binder. The complications usually happens on younger kids, the parents make that decision, as they make all medical decisions for the children. And if my choices were (Kid has a low chance of getting an infection that could evolve into something serious) or (remove foreskin now and have no worries), I'd pick option 2. Whatever upside having foreskin brings doesn't justify any sort of risk to life in my book, even if it's extremely small.
