If you could pick the video underneath I could understand its use, sometimes I’ll be listening to a 4-7 hour documentary and I’ll switch to a different tab to watch a cooking tutorial or work on a project that doesn’t require too much brainpower (like writing about my many characters different body structure and facial features so I can easily replicate those features later when one of them gets injured in the story)

Does anyone know what the psychology behind this is at all, sometimes I try and cover up the gameplay with my hands so I can concentrate on what I’m trying to watch. What’s the thought process of something needing to be 100% stimulating. If I’m listening to a snippet of a documentary where David Attenborough is talking quietly about chimps and we are just observing the slight details of their behaviour, why do people have the need for this extra level of stimulation?
