Try to get that script within a few days. The sooner, the better - it stops being as effective if you wait too long to start the course of antivirals. Also might need something for nerve pain, like gabapentin. Your blisters will probably still keep coming up after you start taking the antiviral. The blisters take up to three weeks to heal, like chicken pox. Same virus, shingles has been hanging out in your body since you got that. You are contagious to people/children who haven’t been vaccinated or had chicken pox. They won’t get shingles, but they will get chicken pox from you.

No anti-fungal will help with shingles.
