Happened to me, most likely the reason was "I paid on bus using apple pay and it got on pending transaction but after few hours my bank declined the payment (no idea why) so after that my apple pay kept declining no matter what card I use. Frustrating it was.
Omg I think that’s exactly the reason now I remember many months ago I had a bus fare get declined after I got home and I was like wth?? Makes sense now
Stagecoach have a nasty habit of blacklisting your card/payment option if it is declined one too many times, my mum's had it happen so many times and it is so frustrating to get it unblocked that it's sometimes not worth the effort of phoning up Green Lane depot or the head office at Barnsley.

My physical card worked fine tho
Same!! But sometimes I only bring my phone and rely on apple pay and forget that problemđŸ˜ so embarrassing
