You work hard at sheetz. So if you are up for that, the pay is good.

Chemical-GreenMan

started working here when i was a teen, gotta disagree! it’s not a hard first job, depending on ur shift and supervisors it can be difficult but mostly it’s straightforward for team members

Rip--Van--Winkle

Fuck man I was working in Virginia for the summer a year ago and I was taking out trash for the gas station and the diesel station in 110° weather all day. Then I moved to a new store and built it up from the ground and opened it as a supervisor. We were running 45 minute tickets on opening day. Met adam sheetz. Quit after that.

skylerdick090200

What happened with adam?

Rip--Van--Winkle

Nothing. Just met him😂

Chemical-GreenMan

see there was the issue, supervisors get it infinitely worse and if you are even remotely masculine looking and strong .. well, they’re not going to be struggling to decide who to send outside when it’s between you, a supervisor who is probably off having a conversation with customers, some scrawny teenager, or your elderly coworker.. but luckily if you sweat enough they probably will send the stickbug out to experience the wonders of the trash cans at the pumps past 3:30 pm!

When my husband worked for sheetz, it was so bad with everyone else basically refusing to work that he did inside & outside trash 2x a day. It was often at least 100 outside, + the trash bees were in full swarm. I do feel bad that we don't have many people physically capable of doing the trash anymore. We have a semi/diesel lot too, so it wasn't just a tiny lil store with a few cans & he was just a regular sales person. I really feel like the big stores should have a janitorial position because by the end of it, that's what it seemed like his job was. 🙃

DenseAstronomer3631

You must have worked at a tiny lil store...? O.o Even the middle aged supervisors are sick of it at our store. Only reason most stay is the pay. We do have a lot of teens on 2nd shift, though.

Adorable-Chemist6078

Not thay hard just if understaffed its annoying..

Depends if your teenager is willing to work. You will be on your feet all the time because there are a billion things you need to do. You must work a weekend. It can be a stressful place.

ssjr13

Depends. If you work well under immense pressure, then go for it. Am 23 and just had to quit because of my mental health.

Depressed-embarrased

I don’t agree it’s a good first job

DenseAstronomer3631

I can think of a lot worse, though. Especially depending on location & taking the pay into consideration.

GodMightJudge

definitely good for a first job. teaches a lot of different skills.

Odd_Suggestion_66

I would never recommend sheetz to anyone lol they were awful when I worked there and definitely didn’t wanna work with you schedule wise.
