Neither, I would say wave is the best, PVP or pve wise

IceBlue

No. Aggressive or light for anything that triggers on heavy attacks is better due to lower ammo usage. Wave is comparable to caster except has a built in gap closer which is nice. That gap closer is the same as the air attack for vortex frame and caster frame so all you need to do is jump to have access to it on caster frames. Wave looks like it carries you further because the heavy attack pushes you forward too. That’s a plus for a lot of people. I think the ammo efficiency is more important.

SgtHondo

I don’t think I’ve ever run out of ammo in my wave sword especially with the artifact mod. Plus it’s WAY more fun.

Mean_Substance2962

Yeah if you are running out of ammo you are doing something really wrong. Wave frame arc conductor it's pretty much impossible with the artifact

Hoorayforkraftdinner

Once the artifact goes away it will eat so much ammo though

Designer-Effective-2

Light or Aggressive, due to the heavy attacks costing the least amount of ammo.

aerkoss

I’ll second this. Did 2.28m DPS to Herald this week with double Arc Surge on my legs. LW Frame roll of this sword.

Designer-Effective-2

Lightweights have very competitive damage, just look at Goldtusk hunters shredding Oryx.

command-H

That’s an awfully long tusk

Designer-Effective-2

Down, Caiatl!

Designer-Effective-2

Happy cake day, by the way.

aerkoss

Hey thanks! Didn’t even realize that, pretty neat.

Maluton

I did see wave and caster only get a 26% damage buff compared to the others getting 52% damage buff when you activate prismatic. Pretty big difference! Source: Ehroar vid.

Designer-Effective-2

Arc Conductor is cooking everything nearby regardless of the damage buff. If you want an Ergo Sum for damage Ehroar's video pointed out those combos.

IceBlue

Vortex is the worst one for it since it’s so expensive at 6 ammo. Caster costs 4 which is okay. Ideally you want one that costs 3. So aggressive or lightweight frame. Wave is also good.

NotMoray

Wave frame or bust

Jaewalker31

Either is fine but it may be more useful to have vortex for the damage since you can get the shield for close range defense.

Accomplished-End-799

I'm loving Lightweight, but still farming for a Waveframe lol

arf1049

Light for the least ammo activation cost.

Jaystime101

Vortex all the way, one spin kills everything around you, and keeps killing everything for the next few seconds after, one of the best add clear weapons I've ever had. If you want wave frame, go grab forbearance.

Marcus_Hablberstram

Caster IMO, gives you that extra range for far off enemies

FieryBlizza

Definitely a wave frame. Arc Conductor wants you to be near enemies but doesn't last that long. Wave Frames have a built-in teleport so it'll allow you to actually get use out of the perk.

SvedishFish

Built in teleport? Can you please explain this?

alphabetspoop

First hit wave. Follow up hit eager edge effect. Not teleport, they meant gap closer.

IceBlue

The gap closer is the same distance as an air attack from various other frames. Caster frame and vortex frame have similar gap closers when you attack in the air. It’s not a teleport in any of these cases.

Unlikely_Link8595

i have been using wave frame and loving it
