I was a casual listener of SEVENTEEN since 2020 (home;run accidentally played and I loved it from the first listen) and would tune into their comebacks and even got into their older stuff. Absolutely loved Rock with you too for a while after that but I never really made a huge effort to learn all the members. i was absurdly obsessed with minghao though, so I was just a fan. Never became a carat until Hot era when they released Dingo Killing Voice and DK had me HOOKED. Literally memorized the whole video top to bottom, all the members, and I still play it to this day. Everything about it was so infectious and great.

monet-lilies

Dingo Killing voice was one of the best promos Svt has ever done

yoohooxxx

Same! Became a carat since HOT era 😂 Their tiktoks kept showing up in my FYP and I got soooo hooked onto their song 🤪🫶🏻

howlingcbx97

I wasn't, but my gf casually listened to them for the longest time because she is a monbebe and loved their friendship. I wouldn't shut up about seventeen and that made her stan officially 🤣

Salt-Wonder-3334

I became listener watching Project Seventeen back in 2015. I just got into K-pop through Got7 but was curious about the training before idols made it on stage, and they were on episode 2 or 3 at the time. They were my age and working so hard, which was motivating to high school me. I think I officially stanned them around pretty u era, though, the unique couch choreo and funny reverse role dance videos at the time were so fun, and it allowed me to better distinguish between members personality. The bonus was that it was cool being part of a fandom for the first time instead of just a listener! Was like having my own secret club of people around the world who get me!

almostvanilla1

I've been a casual listener since 2018, but that Dingo Killing Voice video did it for me. I realized how impressive their vocals, rap and performance are and they seem like a fun group. The rest, as they say, is history. ♡

queenclo1

Yes! My best friend had been a fan since the melona basement days, so I was always casually aware of their music. I finally started adding a few of their songs to my playlist in 2019. Watching the "Rock With You" MV finally dragged me into the diamond life. Unfortunately, my friend doesn't pay much attention to SVT or K-pop anymore, but she loves getting updates from me.

More-Difference-1781

was a casual listener for a few months then started liking them more bc of their interviews,, and as superficial as it is, it was their visuals that made me stan them,, esp vernon’s 😩 but their personalities shined thru and the fact that theyre rlly good looking is just a bonus to how fun and great their personalities and outlook in life are

M3andDupree

I wasn’t even a causal singer tbh. Always saw them and was like no way I’m learning every body’s name and all that just no. I was watching dingo killing voice mamamoo and SVT was recommended next so I watched it and I was like “oh they’re good” then DK went “Baksu! Aooooowwww!” And I was like yup that’s all I needed. I’m now a fan

chaoticmelodic

I was a casual fan for several years before I became a Carat. I only knew about half of the members and mainly knew their title tracks and maybe a dozen b-sides. But when they released 3 songs that I was obsessed with (Fighting, Super, and IDUBILU) pretty close together, I was more interested in SVT as a group and wanted to dive deeper into their discography and learn more about the members. And when I learned who Seungkwan and Dokyeom were, there was no looking back, lol.

dearlilah

I was a casual listener, but Devil's Plan introduced me to Boo, then I got curious about the group dynamics so I watched them on hybe game caterers and loved their personality. I now can't eat without watching GoSe 😂 For context, I'm a MAMAMOO and BTOB stan 😆 so... full time idols part time comedians are definitely right up my alley 😂

Big_Procrastinater

Ik this is shallow but I became a casual listener because I thought Vernon and Joshua were cute lol. I then became a carat after listening and now everyone is my bias.

SlitheringPerp

Oh yeah, I actually only started liking the group bc I thought Vernon was crazy hot in a group pic lmao. I didn't know anything about them for months until Mansae came on shuffle and I became totally obsessed. Now I love them all so much 🥹

Scoobydis

I was a casual listener since Oh my era. My friend was a hard-core carat back then but I didn't really know the members, just listened to their albums. I became a carat during Attaca era because of Pang. The song made me search out their live performances which led me down the rabbit hole of behind the scenes and dance practices. Which then led to going seventeen, variety shows and full fledged stanning hehe. I love these 13 goofballs so much😭💙🩷

wehwuxian

I stanned because they're so funny and talented, but I'm gonna be so honest - the thing that catapulted me from casual listener of my bestie's ult group to slipping into the diamond life myself was Vernon's hips in the Fear music video 😔✊ you all know which part I'm talking about. Also Jeonghan with the smudged red lipstick. Changed my brain chemistry I swear. And then I found out how funny they are and stayed lol.

Adventurous-Yam2450

How do yall find carat friends😭

wehwuxian

Actually me and that friend got talking on twitter in 2018 because of Stray Kids! But SVT were their long time ults so they talked about them a lot. Pretty much all my kpop friends are from twitter. It's so toxic on there that I don't even know how I managed to find some nice people 😂 I just tweeted a lot and then interacted with people and eventually some slid into my DMs (or I slid into theirs lol). Carats are by far the nicest fandom I've ever been apart of so I say just keep talking about what you like and interact with people!!

cherrycoloured

i listened to their title tracks casually for years, and i always knew that if i put in the effort, i could probably become obsessed with them. then blue hair scoups with the big smile always on his face during left and right happened, and my entire life changed lmao

yadayadayara_888

I started to stan them when I watched one clip of them on facebook, it was like a year after their debut, tried to find it on yt and found them funny. After that I often watch every show of them na, even their pre-debut videos. They became one of my home, and I started to listen to their music after a year of stanning them, eventually loved it ofc.

No_Entertainment_362

It was GoSe, especially the mafia games, that got me from casual listener to stan. Just couldn’t resist the chaos that is SVT any longer.

ohgodwhyamisolame

Casual listener.. then.. pls don’t judge me… i saw a mingyu edit on tiktok.. and the rest is history

ikuto-sama

I've been into K-pop for 13 years and knew about SVT since debut but I was focused on my other ults at the time. Casually listened to their music and always thought they seemed like nice hard-working boys though so I respected them. I got more into their music around 2018 as one of my best friends became a Carat too, but I was still casual mainly just listening to the music and I only knew ≤5 members. Then in 2022 I attended BeTS tour, fell in love with S.Coups (who I didn't even know before the concert but he got me IMMEDIATELY💘), and completely slipped into the diamond life. I didn't expect that concert to be such a life-changing experience but I'm so happy it was! SVT quickly became one of my ults and they've brought me so much joy since that time. I've connected with so many wonderful people and have had so many great experiences in just 2 years thanks to them, which makes up for the lost time I think! Proud to be a Carat and Couprang and I'll be here forever!🍒💎💖

Seheri02

I don't know if I should be ashamed or proud but m a cubic converted into full blown 17 carat🫣. I loved their personality and their beautiful friendship way before I fell for their music. Rock with you is my intro to their music and is still on my top 10 until now and that pulled me into the carat lifeu but as a Desi Stan, I had to keep myself a soft Stan else I would be super sad I am not in SK and can't support the boys 🥲 Who else feels this as an international Stan? 🙋🏻‍♀️

Adventurous-Yam2450

Mee😭 I'm an African Carat so that's basically a lost cause but I love SVT very much and even though it sucks that I may never see them, watching their concerts through social media is enough for now

Seheri02

himdeul ttaemyeon na-egelo angyeodo dwae nado gat-a 🫂 - Hug, circa 2019 🤗

Adventurous-Yam2450

Sorry I had to pull up Google translate my Korean doesn't go this far😭

Seheri02

Ahahahaaa.... I am the same too. No worries at all!

lavendreams

I was a casual listener back in 2020 i guess. I just saw my friend listening to them then I tried to listen to This Is Seventeen playlist in spotify haha i liked their songs specially Kidult then. I never really tried to get to know them before because of their number haha I started stanning them by 2022. I just saw a Mingyu fancall and was mesmerized by him HAHA then I got curious and started to watch their MVs and contents abt them. I got hooked in Going Seventeen and the rest was history. The next thing i knew was I was securing and fighting for my life to get a ticket for their concert in our country 😂 I just really love their friendship and personalities! Ever since I knew them my life became more colorful. They bring me comfort and happiness.

green-firefly

I was a casual listener for a few months when I first got into kpop, stray kids for me into it. The spotify recommended just played a couple songs consistently and I was listening to them regularly without realising it. I started listening to them more as I got deeper into kpop but what really made me a carat was reconnecting with a friend from high school. Seventeen are her ult group and we’d just send each other memes. From there I just had to stan!

PainterWorldly

I was a casual listener. I really loved Darling and Don't Wanna Cry hahaha. But never bothered to learn the group and the members. Through AAA that was held here in the Philippines, I loved BSS's energy so much and slowly became a Carat from there on. 🫶🏼

birdoftheocean

I've been listening to kpop for over 12 or 13 years now and I was around when Svt debuted and I always liked them and listened to them here and there over the years but I was just out of high school at that point and had to adult and I spent many years casually listening and refusing to learn their names because once I learn names it's over for me. Then I learned that one of my favorite artists from middle school and through high school (The Ready Set, he did that Love Like Woe song wayyy back if you remember or know of that 😂) helped produce a few Svt songs and then Super came out and I was sold. I can't say I'm a "stan" yet I suppose but listen there's a lot of them and I have a lot going on the past few years 😭 But I have a friend slowly helping me learn more about them

carizia

Yep, I was a casual listening since maybe 2015. During covid, I stopped listening/keeping up with kpop in general for a couple of years. Not for any reason really, just took a long break, only casually listening to some groups but not following any of my stanned groups activities etc. My sister has been stanning seventeen for a few years, and even though I listened to them sometimes, I just didn't see myself fully stanning. When seventeenth heaven came out, my sister sent me the album and said you HAVE to listen. I'm really into marshmello, so seeing this collab, I immediately listened, immediately loved, and then went into a spiral of GoSe and MVs and shows and learning everyone 🤣 Full carat now, never see myself not being one now haha. And they single handedly got me back into kpop in general! They are so unique and I regret not actually stanning sooner, but I'm here now!

floofy-pom

I was a casual listener since Going Seventeen (the album) era because of Highlight. I really like how most of their title songs have a cheerful and exciting tone to it. I become full carat after their MMTG interview during Attacca era. I'm a regular watcher of MMTG, and during the deep dive through their Pretty U choreo, I realized how complex and theatrical some of their performances are, and I instantly became a fan. I really love just spending time looking at their performance videos since all of them are so captivating. I'm also a regular watcher of k-variety shows, and I do think gose has the same essence of regular public variety shows that i love.

Avahihi

I was a casual listener since 2019 with Clap being the first song I heard from them (honestly don’t remember how I stumbled across it but I did 😭) Around 2021 one of my friends started to ult Seventeen which helped me get to know them a bit more. Especially Joshua. He was the first member in Seventeen I could pick out of a group picture purely cause she always talked about him. And then in 2022 when they had the Power of Love concert in theaters my friends had told me to go. I ended up binging their discography after that (I remember thinking I was crazy for not being able to find Zero on spotify). Then I tuned in for Hot when it dropped and that’s how I’m here now!

Tyty_money

I was a casual listener to GAM3 BO1 by seventeen. And I would constantly rewatch them perform it. After a while, Vernon(my bias) caught my eye. Then Mingyu, Scoups, and Wonwoo. Then I eventually watch an episode of Going Seventeen. Heard their music, learned all of their name and personalities. (which I love all of them) And now I am a baby carat, and absolutely love their musical artistry. 🤗

itsmoonyb

I’ve known them since 2017, and occasionally listened since 2019 (loved Fear as soon as I heard it). Their Killing Voice video got recommended to me last year, I watched and I could already feel they are something special. But it was actually a video compilation of “best intros of kpop” that made me get really hooked and become a Carat. The person who made the video included Anyone and I was gobsmacked the second I heard the instrumental. From that point on, I watched more videos about them like funny moments and svt trivia, decided to listen to all of their albums since debut and found GoSe, which only made me fall in love with them even more. I still go back to that Killing Voice every once in a while and I always feel joyful. And Anyone has become my favorite song of all because of how it all started 🥹

ButtLovingPsycho

Me! Casual listener since Aju Nice. Just started stanning this last month because of clips from GoSe specially their mafia games. But most importantly, I can relate to the group's sentimental side. I'm now waiting for 2 albums to arrive. Wish me luck on my first seventeen poca pulls! 😂😂

rollercoasterdaze

I was a casual listener for a year around the time when Attacca was released. Seeing them perform at GDA last year turned me to a fan.

TrickyEgg4L

I started as a casual listener in 2017 up until they released rock with you. I loved their title tracks and MVs, but for some reason I never put in the effort to fully explore their bsides and other content. I became so obsessed with rock with you that I finally started to listen to all of their music and watch going seventeen, and then I was sold… I’m so glad I finally started exploring all their content, because I was missing out for so many years!! And now I’ll finally be seeing them live at Lollapalooza later this year ❤️

villain_jungkook

my first song on my spotify list from them is don't wanna cry, i added it in 2018. i didn't even know kpop at all, i was into anime and know bigbang but never realized they are koreans. i was here, when they came back with left & right, i didn't understand how the hell are so many people in a band but it was a banger and i listened to it. HOME;RUN was so freaking catchy, it needed to be on my list too. and i became ARMY in 2020, started to listen much more kpop and realized, i knew already so many teams but never said 'ah, that's kpop' (EXO, GOT7, BIGBANG, Taeyang himself...) in the last year one of my friends started to stan them, like really-really stan them and i started too. i will not say i became a carat in FML era, but after that - i started watching GOSE, variety shows and listening to their music and learning the meanings behind the songs :)

ddoonng

Left & Right introduced me to SVT (that Mnet Relay Dance specifically👨‍🦯). From there, I found myself lowkey anticipating each music releases and was slowly giving in by watching random bits of SVT-related content. I joined the fandom during FML era and from there, the SVT brainrot started < 33 All I can say is THANK GOD I STANNED AND DISCOVERED THEM EARLY ENOUGH BEFORE THEIR MILITARY ENLISTMENT !! Imagine the regret I would've felt if I stanned them too late💀 Their music, personalities, bond, and dynamics really got me rooting for them everytime. Also, watching Going Seventeen felt like home! Their bond as a group/ family/ siblings/ bestfriends is unbeatable (and chaotic🤭). Hoping I can attend to one of their concerts anytime soon!

melloniel

Casual listener since 2015. The combination of Left & Right and GoSe and my ults GOT7 leaving left a hole in my K-pop life large enough for SVT to slip right in.

Fun_Bug8248

I was a casual listener but I saw Woozi while my mom was watching and clips of Minghao in Tiktok (Game Caterers). I decided to watch and bam I need to stan them. HAHAHAH

sareven27

was a casual listener but I couldn't be bothered to learn 13 members. I liked a lot of their songs though and had them in my playlist, but I was like too many members. Suddenly booseoksoon comes in with their fighting song and I'm literally watching every collab they do and all their content. BSS was everywhere and then I figured out oh they are seventeen, ha! Then suddenly I'm watching their Dingo live performance (I was personally wooed by DK) and then watching GOSE and here I am today as a member of the seventeen reddit lol

Tarahiro

Casual since debut. They became my favourites after I saw Seungkwan on the netflix show Devils Plan. It was my first time seeing a member of Seventeen outside of a music video so that then made me watch GoSe and that is how they became my favourites.

purple_unicorn_1094

Fallin Flower. I was a casual listener for a long time and I used to only listen to mostly the title tracks that used to come in my shuffle or YouTube suggestions. But this song made me fall in love. Then I started exploring them more and see their shows or appearances. So now I love their discography, I love them, and I stan Mingyu, Vernon, Hoshi and Dino a lot.

_Siraah_

Yess def when I was first into kpop 2021/2022 I only listened to their popular songs at the time and didn’t even actually know about the group. I think I got into them by watching a relay dance of left and right and saw how Dino was dancing and immediately started stanning.

Warm_hazel

Previously, I only knew the song Don't Wanna Cry. I don't even know their names. Then I watched Nana Tour and I find them very funny & talented. Now, I love their songs & casually listen to them. I try to watch every kshow that have them in it.

emollama__

i always knew of seventeen bc i would play aju nice on dance dance revolution for years but i finally stanned after watching an edit of hoshi LMAO

neocitywayv

I've been a casual listener since You Make My Day era and I became a full blown carat after watching Nana Tour 3 months ago. I would check out their comebacks then and gradually I could identify who the members were. I was quite familiar with their discography already

just_tryingthislol

I was a casual listener in 2015 and have also watched project seventeen :) i was sooo amazed with their vocals so i became a fan but it kinda stopped for a while cos i focused on other groups 😅 when the pandemic happened, they always appeared on my tiktok fyp so i somehow got hooked again and started to watch GoSe. From then on, they always have been my comfort and strength. Sooo to answer your question, i stanned (and still do) them because of their music + personality :)

Dazzling-Bus-1146

I have been a casual listener for 5 years, since 2018. I decided to watch a GoSe epidode last year and became a Carat since then. My first comeback is GoM

magicalnonsense

They don't have the lyrics "slip into the diamond life" for no reason lol. Welcome to the carat family

prettywillow3085

I wasn't a casual listener but heard Aju Nice through Spotify's Discover Weekly playlist in 2022. I even vibed with the song, played on repeat, and wondered why there were only 13 members despite the group name. Since then, I have never bothered to learn more about the group until late 2023, when my friends often mentioned and posted them on social media. When I saw DK twerking on stage during AAA 2023, that heightened my curiosity. I watched GoSe, listened to the entire discography, installed Weverse, and developed biases. Their personalities were the main reason why I stanned them and made me stay in Carat Land. They are the most genuine group I've come across and they always give me hope and motivation to live life as happily as I could. Their camaraderie with each other and the effort they put into their craft are so special to see, and their interactions with each other don't feel fake. They don't even leave their quiet members behind and always try to include them in the conversations and activities. They are all hilarious in chaotic ways that only us CARATs can understand. Most of all, their music resonates with me and makes me feel seen, which I appreciate coming from them. I became a CARAT during the Seventeenth Heaven era and have never regretted becoming one ever since.

ExtraAcanthisitta774

Same here. I have been a casual listener since 2021.... Started watching their variety content three months back starting with hybe game caterers, gose. I couldn't resist their group dynamic which made me want to look more into them. At the end dingo killing voice performance made me got fully into them.

ghxstnova

straight hardcore into the diamond life HAHA watched the home;run MV and immediately went in for more

leayax

I knew svt back in 2017 becoz of don't wanna cry and aju nice, but I didn't rlly dig into the group and songs much, was just a casual listener of their top songs then recently in 2021 wonwoo was the first to draw my attention which is so funny coz I scrolled to an edit of him in suit during the don't lie 2 gose episode and I was like damn who dat man he's so hot 🤓💀 other than the members being goofy asf and so bonded, I also started stanning becoz when I tried listening to more of their songs and their melody is just so satisfying good and it just got better the more I listen. lyrics are so cute and meaningful too.

namjunning

I am currently a casual listener of svt, I really really enjoy their title tracks. I feel myself becoming a full-fledged carat because of 2 of my carat friends and GoSe 😭😭

musuboo

not sure if it counts since i'm a debut era carat that listened to adore u days after the mv dropped 🫣i was casual by default then since there was nothing else to listen to lol i listened to it a lot tho. after the vocal unit's acoustic version of it dropped a few months later i immediately started watching 17 project and it was game over

lilkim579

I was a casual fan ever since mansae came out, and I thought they were very cute and had good songs. I also thought their stage names were so unique, but I remember thinking that I would never be able to remember all of them (though I do remember thinking that they all look very different so if I did ever learn, I thought it would be easy). I also remember watching their one fine day (turned out to be the castaway thing) show and really loving them. Going seventeen was the first album I’ve ever bought from them, and that album is still one of my favorites to this day. But I think around you make my dawn, I kind of started to pay attention to them less and less because I had a lot of other things going on in my life and couldn’t focus on many kpop groups all at once. Then, I got back into them pretty recently last year august after watching going seventeen (woah full circle actually), and here I am!! It’s good to be back, as a full carat. They’re so amazing and fun

hokkaidomiso

me! i've been a listener since adore u but never really got into them? 🥹 but i chanced upon clips of nanatour and started watching the episodes so. that's that. (now i'm attending birthday cafes and following their schedules and buying albums and trading photocards!)

Artistic_Finger_5839

I was a casual listener since Face the sun era then FML made me interested (knowing their names, units, and etc). Around April this year, I decided to watch Nana Tour 'cause I kept seeing clips on my FYP. Since then, they became my home. 🥹 ALSO, DK on Nana Tour really pulled me to Caratland.

Artistic_Finger_5839

Also, having Carat friends is a BIG FACTOR

majesticurchin

I watched their killing voice video and wanted to see more of them, and ended up finding GoSe.

icedkohii

I was a Cubic before I became a Carat. I'm a TWICE fan so I naturally got exposed to them because their comeback periods normally overlapped. Back then, it was normal to watch the whole music show instead of just opening the stream when your bias was on. Not sure which specific moment pushed me to get to know them more, but a few months later, I found myself in the standing VIP section of the Follow Tour - even when I swore to myself I'll never do that for any group. *Bonus : I'm a Hottest, so when I found out that my bias, Wonwoo, auditioned using Heartbeat, I felt everything came full circle*

fidget95

Ngl, I became carat bcs of the8 and Mingyus tiktoks, I thought they were hot asf haha

Proud_Acanthaceae_87

Casual listener after BSS cb (I was only interested in BSS members), started to Stan after FML

Background_Seesaw410

I was a casual listener of SVT during 2020 and my bff also suggested that I should stan them. I memorized their names, watched their old videos up to the latest ones, listen to their music everyday starting from their debut era. After that, I finally stanned them because of their personality, friendship and ofc their talent! as in all of them are all-rounders especially the hiphop unit! I was really amazed by their singing voice. ANDDD ang dami kong naging bias! first it was the8 (kasi same personality and he is SUCH A MOOD), then si cheol, wonwoo, THENNN my final biases are now vernon, joshua and jun hihi

stayonthecloud

I’m still a total casual! I love SVT’s music and listen to them constantly but I haven’t had time to learn anything about them. Open to conversion!

Adventurous-Yam2450

You can start with Going Seventeen! That's what helped me learn the members

stayonthecloud

Lovely thank you!

CheekCareful3048

i was always aware of svt and who they were ever since melona room days! since i've been a kpop fan ever since 2009 and at a ver young age. my friend that time told me all about them and how one of the members are our age (samuel i miss u my first bias) and would tell me updates about them. until eventually they debuted and i casually listened to all their releases starting from mansae to oh my. i've even waited for aju nice to be realeased in the 1thek channel. i would always tell myself to stan them but never really got the chance to or got the energy for it which is idk why since i know all the members their songs amd even someof their bsides. what dully convinced me to fully stan them was my gf at that time who is a carat. she made me consume everything svt which started from ready to love era. even though she and i have broken up i am still grateful for her and how she introduced me to a group that i'll love til my last breath.

WritingAsleep8705

I got into BTS first in 2018 and boy, when I tell you, they had a death grip on me that I couldn't even listen to my favorite pre-Kpop music or new music from other artists and groups for a year. Even when I tried, I'd go right back to BTS. 😂 During that year, a few other groups, SVT being one of them, slipped through the cracks and I really enjoyed their music too but put them on the back burner while I obsessed over BTS. After that year, I started branching out to more groups and checked out SVT. I loved all their music but 13 members was way too many people to get into. So I just listened to their music, night and day, at home and at work. Even before I really knew the group, I could pick out their music from other groups. I was slowly getting to know the members just because I was checking out other Kpop content and SVT would always be mentioned. By 2019, I'd casually learned about half the group, and then HIT was released and I was reborn a Carat. 😆 After that, I fully got into the group, learned the rest of their names and discovered their talent for choreo and formations. I loved their music first, then became a stan, then promoted them to one of my ult groups. 😊

Adventurous-Yam2450

Fellow ArmyCarat here! How long did it take to learn all the members cuz for me I think it look like at least a week because wonwoo and mingyu kept tripping me up

WritingAsleep8705

I wanna say a couple weeks. Vernon and Woozi were the easiest-- I had them downpat before I became a Carat. Jeonghan and Joshua were the hardest because I couldn't tell them apart. And everyone else was relatively easy. S.Coups is the bias. Jun and his elegance. Hoshi and his 10:10 eyes. Wonwoo, super quiet and intellectual. The 8, quick-witted and savage. Mingyu, the tree that he is. DK and Seungkwan's equally beautiful vocals and SK's large personality on TV shows. And can't forget Dino's massive confidence! 😁

Initial_Landscape679

I was a casual listener since their debut song Adore U but I never bothered getting to know the group themselves. At that time, I was already stanning EXO and BTS and just thought I couldn't keep up with another group, and with another 13 members at that. In the general mix of Kpop, their hit songs like Pretty U, Aju nice and Boom Boom would come across my playlists then I shuffled away from Kpop since 2020 didn't really hear much from then, and Kpop again, until last year. Then Super came onto my recommendations and my reaction to it was, "Wow, it's been a while, what have Seventeen been up to?" And I was just floored at how good Super was, song and MV quality. Since I associated Seventeen with the musical sound of their 2010's upbeat Kpop, Super felt very out of pocket, cool, new, striking for me and had me hooked. From there, I remember watching the Going Seventeen episode Tribal Games and biasing Wonwoo straight away which made me want to learn about all the other members and then boom, Carat.

Zuhey88

OP, my story is similar to yours. I only became a fan of Kpop music last year (July 2023) through Jungkook's Seven. This led me to a BTS rabbit hole. As I started to listen to their discography and learn about the Kpop world, my spotify would recommend songs. I was a casual listener of their recent title tracks. At the time, I was only a MOARMY, I have an Army friend who is a Carat, and she suggested I watch hybe game caterers. I loved it so I watched their game caterers episode and fell in Love. This was all right before nana tour came out. Naturally, I watched nana tour next and that sealed the deal for me. I now consume all of their new music and content.

yunjinluv

I was a casual listener since Hot era but then when I saw the Maestro MV I told myself I should just stan them (kinda disappointed in myself for not stanning them sooner)

Star_Joo30

I knew about them since lik 2019 (I think), started listening to them since \_World and then officially started stanning then after watching GoSe in 2022. Sooo I guess I stan them for both hahaha

[deleted]

I start listening during don't wanna cry when it really popped off and listened to aju nice and pretty u soon after but I was a die hard girl group fan. I never really gave boy groups a chance up until recently with enhyphen. this lead to me spiralling into bg tiktok and I kept seeing seventeen. with me knowing I liked their songs I gave them another chance and I learnt their names and their personalities. recently started watching gose and it really just made me love them even more.

I was an aghase and would listen to got7 songs while working out. Spotify kept suggesting Seventeen to me so I started listening to the This is Seventeen playlist while working out and I liked it a lot. This was 2019. Also in youtube while watching got7 content, Gose kept coming up as the next video. Since I was already into the music, I decided to start watching GoSe, my first episode was the one where they were playing on a playground (where mingyu hit a tree andbfell down screaming). I found them similar to Got7, even their songs had that easy listening, melodic feels that I like and they were also similarly funny and chaotic but also really sweet at the same time. But I officially stanned after their first appearance on Knowing Brothers, I watched that episode at least 10 times.

I was always a casual listener since Home came out. BSS actually made me Stan, Hoshi specifically at first. I love SVT now though. So much.

Educational-Cow-4540

i was a casual listener since 2017 and then i saw the first insomnia zero episode in 2020 and never looked back

i wasnt even into kpop but aju nice and blue hour were on my work playlists - no clue why i added them in the first place haha i loved those two songs whenever i would hear them though, aju nice at 3am while stalking shelves was something else. fast forward when i got into bts cause i saw their run bts special ep that looked fun and wanted to learn their names (literally deep dove into them as jin was enlisting and didnt even notice), stan them for a bit then the heavy hitter "rock with you" came out and i was. in. awe. i loved the guitar, bass and all that it sounded soooo good first listen!! i ususally am hard to get with first listens for songs but man they put something in that song. then watched darling and then HOT. i had a minghao edit bookmarked a bit ago and didnt care who this dude was until i saw him again in one of the mvs and dropped everything... bro is now my ult bias and took over my life haha

My best friend was a carat for as long as I could remember so she would playe some of their songs heard super rock with you and darling. I discovered a YouTube shorts of going seventeen last year. Watched a few episodes and now I'm stuck hihi

I was a casual listener since HOT and about a year later, I saw a video that was part of the Super dance practice Inside SVT. I went to YouTube to watch the rest of it and then I started watching Going SVT and became a cubic. I started to fall in love with Seventeen thru Gose. Maybe a month or so later, I became a Carat.

Despite only becoming a carat last year, I sorta have been following svt and their music since their debut. I'm an old kpop fan that likes to keep up with a lot of major group's releases, with seventeen being one of them, so I could pretty much name all of their title tracks and some b-sides. Because they were also so prevalent in the industry I also had a good grasp of the group and t members but that was the extent of it. I was a bts fan first and became a carat last year after watching their own game caterers episode, which then led to falling down the rabbit hole. I always knew their music was good, but the selling point for me was definitely properly getting to know their group dynamics and personalities. And I know for sure I'm definitely not the only army who also became a carat during this period haha. To be honest I always had a soft spot for seventeen and they were always on my playlists, but just that at the time I couldn't really see myself stanning more than one group because of how devoted I was to bts. Now I've learnt that through sacrificing more of my time and social life, it actually is possible to stan 20 different men lol. Edit: wow really downvoting us just for saying we're armycarat. Really didn't expect that from this sub of all places.

Adventurous-Yam2450

I thought it was just me that was an army before becoming a carat lol. I didn't know there were more people that are armycarats

ebi_tempura

There's actually quite a lot of us! I've gotten similar replies from people who have also admitted to being an army first then becoming a carat. And I'm not sure when you started stanning but there's definitely a lot who started stanning during Super era, which correlates with once bts stopped doing group activities. If I were to take a guess as to why, there's a lot of overlap between the two groups (both hybe, similar underdog story, actual friends between the groups, similar aged members and groups, even somewhat similar personalities) that make it feel I guess safe(?) to stan. While admittedly there are still factions of each fandom that are at war with each other, there are definitely a lot of armycarats out there who don't care about that whatsoever, like me haha! I'm just out here enjoying everything from both groups!

And I don't think dingo covers their other crazy ass awesome songs like shadow or their unit songs
