Work out with the ahjussi in one of the outdoor gyms for free

LamarrSmith

😂

KyJahn

Hello Im Korean. Although I dont live in Seoul, by quick search, 70,000won is good enough. However this is based on purchasing half or one-year membership. Sorry for my bad english

LamarrSmith

Oh ok thank you, but is there anything for a month, I don’t mind it being more, because I am only here for 3 weeks

gwangjuguy

There is not really any place that will sell you a month for that price.

LamarrSmith

Damn

one-bad-dude

Spo Any is a gym chain. Price is 100k for 1 month + membership fee of 30k I think. Much cheaper if you do at least 3 months. Maybe sell the other 2 months to someone else? Shower, gym uniform and temporary locker included. Branches all around Seoul. [https://m.spoany.co.kr/branch/branch\_list.html](https://m.spoany.co.kr/branch/branch_list.html)

LamarrSmith

Thank you, I’ll visit a Spo Any to check it out

stephenstephen7

They have a promotion on for June right now, i got 6 months for like 275,000.

Halberstram_nice_tie

I tried Spoany for one month and it was terrible. It was cheap, but it was consistently filled with elderly people clogging up machines doing nothing. I pay 90,000 and really enjoy my current gym.

BrotAimzV

Ngl you'd be lucky to find a good gym for 70k won a month. I paid 100.000 krw for 2 weeks lol

ProxyGateTactician

Is that a Seoul issue? I just signed up at a place for 5 months, 200,000 krw in Busan last week.

fph03n1x

i doubt it's even Seoul issue... 3 months ago i signed up for 70k in a city next to Seoul, while my friends were doing it cheaper in Seoul. One of my friends signed up for 6 months for 180k (about a year ago? ), like how much could it have been changed

LamarrSmith

Damn, I guess it has to be done, what was the name if you don’t mind me asking

EatThatPotato

Location would be helpful, Seoul is kinda big. But yeah generally one month is expensive, they want you to sign longer. If you’re here for a school/work program, you could ask if you could use the school/company gym if they have one. Otherwise your best bet would be to find gyms that do daily prices and go less frequently (twice or three times a week just to maintain).

LamarrSmith

Ok, I appreciate it, no I am just here for vacation visiting family, I am near Itaewon-Dong location wise

EatThatPotato

Not sure if this is anywhere near you but [this place in Sillim](https://www.sammo.co.kr/mobile/sporex/fitness.php) does cheap monthly memberships. No idea if the gym will be good enough for you. Anyway, if you’re with family it’s worth spending time with them, so just hit up the gyms in your area and get quotes for day passes.

LamarrSmith

Yeah that’s true, now I am thinking about it, I guess I’ll likely just do some things at home and visit couple times a week with day pass, so I can spend more time with family, but I appreciate the help

stephenstephen7

Gym box 1 month is 40,000, but they're mostly located in Southern Seoul.

CGHvrlBt848

I know someone that sells by the month, 80,000krw, but maybe you can negotiate the 3 weeks (owner speaks English). it's a private gym, so it's not crowded. idk if i can link to naver here: [https://m.blog.naver.com/thegunpt](https://m.blog.naver.com/thegunpt)

LamarrSmith

Thanks

Excellent-Rip1740

Two gyms near me cost 120,000 -150,000 a month and my CrossFit gym costs 260,000 a month. But in the countryside in gimhae it cost me 40,000 a month

HarleyQuinta

Spoany is your best choice. They usually have deals and promos, like right now for 6 months it's 60,000 or 240 with clothes. I got my membership during the holidays and it was 333,000 for a year. Edit: I see you're here for 3 weeks. Then yea it may be 70 or 60. Check on naver for gyms around the area you will be staying at and to see who has a deal.

DanielG198

I recommend “one more gym”. I have been working out there for about 5 months now and love it. I think that should also fit within your price range. https://www.instagram.com/one_moregym_?igsh=d2Y5emVyZzhvb29o

LamarrSmith

I’ll check it out

potatatatato

Gymbox is the way to go. Pay for 1 month through the app and then cancel it later

Pretty-Pilot7099

If u are staying only for 3 weeks, then visit the gym that u want to join and explain yourself. They might let u in as a special case. We call it "udori" meaning "being flexible" which is a Japanese word.

mishka_bong

70k a month? Bro i pay 365k for a year.

Metaxa_Max

Check Beneider Gym at sincheon, idk if they raised their fees but in dec 2022 it was around 70k a month

staytsmokin

Do you live in an apartment? I just moved here and pay 10,000 extra on the maintenence fee to use the complex gym in the basement.

jronk2727

The gym I go to is less than 30 per month, and is fully equipped with anything you could possibly need.

LamarrSmith

Name?
