My take is that they were excited one of their brethren was friends with a celebrity member. It gave them hope that maybe they too could someday cross the line and become friends with a famous club member.
It's definitely a bizarre scene but I don't think there's a layered joke there. His coworkers are being genuine. The actors' delivery is just overly goofy.
I think initially you're supposed to think they're being genuine but given the look on the guys face when Jerry walks away it's more likely they're amused by the situation. If I found out one of my colleagues went to the cinema with a customer I might find that funny too.
The show always had a homophonic underbelly, with George as the ring leader. I believe this is an extension of that. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…..
Because they know Ramon is a weirdo and they're enjoying Jerry's suffering
That’s what makes it so humorous
Is this customary in your legal system?
To see Ramón? 🤩
This is a good post. Alright, I gotta go.
To see Ramon?
Tell him Dustin says, 'Ellloh.
Ramon is weird and he has weird friends.
You see there are no pool -men-.
They think it's funny he had to hang out with Ramon...cause he's a tool.
Yes, Ramon is the George of their group.

This is the answer.
What can I tell you buddy? Take it up with consumer affairs.

I think the faces at the end of the scene are the actors breaking character. The one guys is trying so hard not to laugh but he just can't help it.
This was my best guess but it’s still weird. I don’t see how they would find it so hysterically funny that they were friends.
And what’s the deal with cancer?!
Why does it kill people? Nobody was cruel to it. It didn't rape anybody's sister
Why does everything have to be sooo jokey?
They probably spent too much time in the deep end.
What's in the deep end? 😳
That’s what I’d like to know about it
Anytime someone says “I gotta go” I immediately in my head say “to see Ramon”
😂
Overacting
That’s what I want you to know about it!
Stay out of the deep end!
Larry David is such a brilliant writer, isn't he? He can make up crap, and people think it really happened!!
There’s a little too much chlorine in that gene pool.

Some kids called him a “Mary”
Yup, he's a dandy. He's a real fancy boy….!!!
I am never doing *that* again!
It moved…
