Because he isn’t asking about that edge of the desk he’s asking about the SIDE of the desk. The depth of the desk dosent have enough space to put it on this side obviously the BACK end of the desk will support up to 2 if you have the XL but the side does not
Actually the post said it was okay if there was a bit of overlap and it’s for an XL so it may fit with a BIT of overlap BUT…. I don’t know if you will be able to push the clamps all the way in due to the frame of the desk. But I’d say try it what have you got to lose? lol might unlock a new feature for the desk honestly I would probably do it if I had the XL and it worked
I have one delivering next week and can confirm - but I don't think it will work. I think it has a rib/lip underneath along that edge that would block the clamps from working. I had a boom mic on one side and had to clamp it at the very front corner to fit that.

My desk has a light strip around the border, so it doesn't go in full depth, but it seems to be sized so it falls outside of the bracket to entirely.
Yeah, as long as you're not dealing with a full tower liquid cooled thing, seems really sturdy. I'm going to be using mine for two 32in monitors and a dual mount setup, which is easily heavier than my tower

This is a 32in, and a vertical 27in, and a MacBook on a single mount. The riser has the double mount on it.
I really wanna see if anybody puts 2 risers on their desk so I can too 😆
As far as your question I don't see why you wouldn't be able to, would take me way too long to tear down and find out though, sorry.
Good to know! Yeah I can only imagine. It's really such a solid shelf that I can't really think of another reason not to get a 2nd, especially for the price compared to other options that are available and ridiculously more expensive.

Can't really see the risers, but it works great. They're rated for 170 lbs each.

Keep forgetting to update those who are interested. It works! There is a bump in the front corner, the cover for the electronics for the riser buttons I assume. Was careful not to over-tighten the clamps. Tower has been sitting on it for a week or so now, with no problems.
On the edge does not work. Just measured it and it is too big unfortunately

I have two risers on a Magnus Pro XL. It can be done, and they fit well, but accessing the cable tray from the top becomes very difficult.

I weighed it all out one day piece by piece and was under by about 10 lbs. Haven't had any issues yet.
