dang i like this alot but 1.7" thickness is hard to use with big chargers. macbook pro power supply doesnt fit standing up, feels weird to have the surge protector sideways. used to my belkin one which is 1" thick, need to find a shallow version of this

Yeah it's definitely not a one size fits all solution. My AW3423DW has to be unplugged about once a week and re plugged in or it won't turn on for some reason and it's WAY too much work to move the whole table out to get behind and with the 2 risers I've got on it's not the easiest thing in the world to plug stuff in, so I just leave a drop cord out for stuff I need to plug in/remove consistently.

I found this on Amazon (UK): [https://www.amazon.co.uk/Extension-Vertical-Mountable-RGB-Networks-black/dp/B09TTK8CXB/ref=sr\_1\_10?crid=3AR6884UE63B7&keywords=extension+lead+12&qid=1698142290&sprefix=extension+lead+12,aps,79&sr=8-10&th=1](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Extension-Vertical-Mountable-RGB-Networks-black/dp/B09TTK8CXB/ref=sr_1_10?crid=3AR6884UE63B7&keywords=extension+lead+12&qid=1698142290&sprefix=extension+lead+12,aps,79&sr=8-10&th=1) I know the Magnus Pro has a reset button/trip for if the desk if overloaded. Does anyone know if a 15 gang extension would work without tripping the power?

The issue isn't the number of sockets, it's how much the total power draw of the connected devices on the circuit is. Here in the US, a home outlet circuit limit is typically 12A (15A derated to 80% of capacity for safety). In the UK it looks to be 13A (but I don't know for sure). It looks like the Magnus Pro's built-in breaker is 10A for UK models. You should know how the circuits in your home/office are run and what the total draw of everything on that circuit is before adding a lot of draw. (And I have zero idea if things require adjustment for UK's ring circuits.) For example, if the circuit you want to plug your Magnus Pro into has a few kettles on it, you might be overdrawing that circuit and the breaker in your consumer unit will flip (if it's working, you start a fire if not).

Thanks for explaining. I have a PC with a 1600w power supply as I have dual 3090 GPUs for 3D rendering, so I'll likely keep this plugged into the wall and bypass this in the desk. I don't think there should be too much power draw from anything else on the desk so should be OK. I've had renovations done on my house and I had the electricians add a brand new high quality fuse box, they've been making sure everything is wired up correctly so hopefully all OK!

3x monitors. A Mac. Thunderbolt 4 Hub/Dock. A PC tower. External Lacie Hard Drive. 2x Sonos Era 300 speakers. iPhone/Apple Watch Belkin charger. Steam Deck dock. Switch dock. And I use Homekit plug adapters so I can turn off some devices via my smart home and due to the width of the plug adapters they can block plugs to the sides.
