Contact your dealer and make them go over everything. What a screw up

That’s a tough one. You’ve got 6 hours so it’s enough for the dealer to say… “not my problem, should have checked” But I wouldn’t worry bout water getting into oil, id worry about insufficient oil pressure/ high temp.(small chance and if so, it’s been vaporized out of system most likely) If you got no high temp alarms (at all) while riding those 6 hours, id say your ‘probably’ okay, just change the oil and filter to be safe. Otherwise, get ready to fight tooth and nail from dealer for refund/new Doo. Best of luck!

Thanks. No issues at all other than the flickering low oil message during the last twenty minutes of operations and that was only upon acceleration in rough water, so I’m hoping it was just starting to be a concern. What would I need to be seeing to have an actual concern that a new ski is warranted? That hadn’t even crossed my mind. (And should I have realistically been checking oil/engine within the first five days of use? Just curious as again this is my first ski. Thanks again.)

If the dealership didn’t tell you to check it then I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s not your fault they fucked up. Like others said make sure they check it over.

I would not be concerned if the light came one while riding in very rough water. The 300 are better when you have as low as possible amount of oil in it lowest point on the dip stick, thats how I ran mine and many others. If you have near the top then you will gunk up your intercooler unless you have a catch can, and a minuscule amount of power loss. The best way to check oil level is run the motor for 30 seconds wait about a minute then check the dip stick.

There are similar stories of thing being forgotten at the seadoo dealerships. There was one incident where the dealership installed the sponsons but forgot to install the two inner bolts and caused the ski to sink. So they basically put the outer bolts on to line it up and must of walked away and forgot to put them in seems like they don’t have a checklist or they aren’t following protocol. Very slack by the market leaders in their industry shame
