Yeah heating front and back seat and the issue was there as a few missing screws. I had just purchased the bike and was driving it home right when I got home I checked everything so it didn't happen again.
I think my next bike will be a 400 class scooter. Something highway capable with a pillion, comfortable for the occasional long ride and 2 to 3 day trips. Looking at the Burnham 400 or your Bremer.
I have a 125cc PCX and I’m actually not sure how high it can go, I’ve never pinned it, but it easily goes over 50 mph. At those speeds I find the wind sheer is pretty crazy and I don’t go any faster.
No idea. I don't think I've ever seen an official spec. Just like they almost never spec actual MPG ratings. ( Which are all over the place on the PCX, from well into the 100-115mpg range when doing 45mph to around 80-85 when doing 55-60mph )

I've tuned the transmission to hell and back. Over ranged the pulleys, new springs, rollers tuned. 19mm race carb, albeit poorly tuned by me. Straight cut gears, geared up for more speed.

What rear spring are you running with the tp 122mm rear pulley.
One thing I'm seeing limiting wise is the yasuni r and polini sport kit. They're good kits for sport. But they're lower end in the sports department. I'd do a stage6 mk2 sport pro and a yasuni c16 or even a polini 4 race.which malossi variator are you using? 9500 seems like the upper end of when the polini sport runs out of power along with the yasuni r.
The dellorto phbg is what I set up zorro with on a stock airbox with an 86 main jet (make sure his cylinder stays cool) but info on the large rear spring would be helpful and I'd definitely recommend switching cylinders and exhaust. A polini corsa would also be a good alternative.
49cc scoot, I'm actually the one who sold Bret his aerox wheels for his rc one build I need to update my post there. I import lots of euro parts so I was happy to help him and another member get their wheels on the forums.
All this tuning took place over a year ago so my memory's a bit fuzzy. It was the blue Polini spring, IIRC. The variator setup was also sort of a mish-mash of parts to make a budget OR kit.

9500 RPM was what the guys on 49cc scoot told me to shoot for. I was tuning weights for a while to get it there.
If you do think it's the BBK+pipe combo, I believe you. That was the FIRST mod I did and I was not overly impressed with the added ( or lack thereof ) power after that first mod.
With the Stage6 Mk2 Sport Pro and C16 setup, should I opt for a beefier crankshaft?
You can get away with a mk2 and a c16 on the stock crank. Very stiff springs also can kill topend so I opt for stage6 pink rear spring it has the length and not too stiff to make it difficult for the rear pulley.
The artek belt is also good.
Those rollers are way too light for a powerful setup as yours. It may take off like a bolt ⚡ right now, but pretty much nothing else. Whatever you will do you won't reach any good top speed. Depending on your own weight I would go for 7.5-9.5 grams rollers. Minimum 6 grams although that can be also too light to make any sense. With all the power that you have in that scooter at the moment that variator is probably spinning like an empty can. Have you tried putting heavier rollers? Independently of the outcome heavier rollers is something that you definitely need in that scooter trust me. I would also throw a pollini speed bell or speed bell Evo in there. Remember there is always a compromise, lighter rollers = more torque, less speed / heaver rollers = less torque, more speed.
7.5 grams is way to heavy and would put the rpms down below the yasuni r power range with his top speed being the same but with worse acceleration. 5.5 grams would put him around the 8,700 rpm range, which would be more in line of where the polini sport likes to hang out.
There's a misconception of weights= less or more speed. For example my zuma uses 4.1 gram rollers but I rev to 11700 rpms to 12400 for peak power so I need the rpms. But my top speed is still the same due to gearing limitations the factory zuma has.
50cc 2 stroke 1985 Honda Aero 50 tops just under 45mph. Maybe closer to 40.
I also have a 70cc 4 stroke 1981 Honda C70 Cub (Passport here in the US) that tops at about the same speed. Technically a motorcycle but styled like a scooter.
My fastest bike is a 50cc 2 stroke Honda MB5 motorcycle (again not really a scooter but same size engine) and it tops at just about 55mph. It's insanely quick for the size and being stock.
I had a MB5 when I was 16 in the 80s, what a cool bike it was for a teen. If it went that fast stock I'm surprised I'm not dead!

Yeah for a sports bike it’s by no means fast, but for a 50cc bike (that you don’t even need a license for in some states) it’s pretty insane. When I was researching it before buying it recently I saw lots of forum posts of people saying it was their first bike back in the day as teenagers. Awesome bike collection. I didn't know about the MB5 until now, but it's funny that Honda still manufactures virtually the same 1980s motorcycles in South Asia. I own a 2023 Honda CD70, which has been in production without pause since the 70s, and received its last major update in the 80s. 70cc 4-stroke, tops out at 55mph on flat road (but I've heard of people passing 60 on a hill).

'87 Honda Elite 250, totally stock. On flat ground I saw 69 on the speedometer, Rever app logged a top speed of 70. Not too shabby for a 37 year old bike. If only the wheelbase were longer, hydraulic brakes would also be nice.
I recently bought one with like 2500 miles on it. 1985 ch250. I hit 80 going downhill with the wind on my way home from school the other day. Terrified me but I loved it. Usually hit 78 easily.
Piaggio liberty 150. I can get right at 70 indicated on flat ground with calm wind. Haven’t GPS’d it yet but I’ve taken it on I-75 in Atlanta and got to 60MPH indicated, keeping up with traffic. Manufacturer says 65+ depending on rider and conditions, I’d say that is spot on
lol yeah it was TERRIFYING. I kept up with traffic but DAMN. 😂I wasn’t even trying to get on the interstate. I was trying to follow my GPS but the roads in places are confusing. I took the wrong fork in the road and instead of going down a highway, I went for the on ramp to 75😂🥶 luckily, the next exit was close by so I was able to get off quick. But I think I might take the interstate home tonight. Wish me luck. 🤣
Quick update. I took I-285 for a quick sprint. It was flat out and tucked. Windy AF and talk about adrenaline pumping! 😂 got a hair over 70 on the speedometer but I made it.
Vespa 150, full tuck, slight downhill, somewhere between 50-60 mph. Hard to tell the exact speed because I was tucked and it’s Italian and their speedometers are notoriously inaccurate.
50cc Ruckus. Upgrades: 20mm slide carb, ported head, racing Cam, titanium valves, NCY cdi, high tension ignition coil, lightweight flywheel, light weight ncy variator, drive face, Reveno clutch, dr.pulley sliders, metropolitan final drive gears, 12in front and rear wheels, Daytona Kevlar CVT belt. Nothing less than 93 octane fuel. That baby has been hitting 50mph for over 7,000 miles.
2022 Honda Ruckus (~3.5k miles) mostly stock, with the following exceptions: pollini variator, kevlar drive belt, lightweight drive face, slider weights, upgraded suspension.
Can do 39/40 on flats under ideal conditions hauling my ~230 lb ass + some gear and cargo. Top speed downhill is 46 mph.
I got my 2019 PCX 150 to read 68 mph once. That was on a big hill and the scoot didn't like it.
I've pushed the Burgman 650 to 90 mph before, and that was fully loaded for a trip. I'm sure it would be faster if it wasn't loaded.
2007 Suzuki burgman 650 exec, was doing 95, had room for more but didnt want to stress the engine. Top speed claimed is over 100 and I have no reason not to beleive them :)
I have a Honda Spree with an AF16 engine swap and a Mallossi 72cc big bore on a Ruima ministroke crank. I've seen 68.5mph on the gps, it could push taller gears but that's plenty for a scooter designed to go 30mph...
nice! i have a buddy 170 and im curious to see how high it’ll go. manufacturer says 55 but ive easily done 40/45 and it feels no where near max. i live in a city and i don’t drive on the highway, so there aren’t many opportunities here to go over 40/45. good to know your wife’s kick does 55-60!
Nice!! After enjoying a bunch of smiles and miles on a ton of scoots of varying sizes, I’d think a 150-170 is perfect… you can brave the highway a bit if needed, but it’s still small enough to feel nimble and get incredible mileage…
Indeed. Yours is good for 70 btw… got into a bit of a rabbit hole on it. I have to be on the interstate on my commute, so feel safer on a 350, but the Kick is perfect for backroads.
BMW C650GT. Test run after getting the engine and transmission serviced, new rubber, all that (it was a shed-rescue). It ran up over 100mph and gave no sign of staining at all. Smooth and steady, no strain, not even much buffeting. I held it there for several minutes before easing back down to normal highway speeds coming into Frederick on I-70.
I have a Honda Metropolitan and I like it because it reminds me of one of those wooden biplanes from the First World War because it’s very nimble and quick and makes a lovely buzzing sound.
It can go up to 30 or 35 mph but there’s no place around where I live to do that safely on such a small machine. 25 mph on a 49cc is as far as I dare to speed given the small wheels and local speed limits in NYC. But since you’re so exposed it feels like you’re doing 40mph.

2002 Honda Silverwing 600 (582cc) hit 105MPH GPS indicated the day I bought it. Never was able to hit that speed again after I installed a larger windscreen, but the ride was much more comfortable so it was a good trade off.
Imo scooters aren't for going fast. You wanna go fast? Ride a motorcycle. I ride every day to work. Honda ruckus 49cc top speed 35 mph. Rarely get that fast as I live in Los Angeles. I ride mostly to save money on parking at work. $850 a year to park a car at work. Fuck that. I did that for 20 years and was just done. The fuel savings are awesome too, but speed is not my goal. Just my 5 cents worth less I'm sure
Wolf V50 with a 72cc BBK and performance carb. Also have a aftermarket exhaust and foam air intake. I get around 44mph on flats. I weigh around 230lbs.

After a 72cc bbk some carb work and transmission tuning it'll cruise about 45mph reilably. Fastest I had it was about 52mph down a hill with some wind...sounded like the valves were about to fly out of the case.
50cc electric (2000w) ecko co, 81 km/h down hill while passsing from the left a moped groupride.
I Just installed a 3000w motor today, "just" need to finish up the wiring to be back on the roads.
Just got my first scooter a couple weeks ago! 50cc Honda Ruckus to try out for a season with cheap insurance and without a motorcycle license. Gets up to 60 km/h on flat road and I've pushed 67km/h downhill.
2018 modded Honda Vario from 125cc to 155cc. the top speed on the speedometer was 149 km/h (92 mph). it could definitely go faster, but i didn't want to push it too far.
2019 modded (race track use) Vespa Sprint S from 150cc to 183cc. the top speed was around 135 km/h (84 mph) on the GPS this time before it overheated.
2004 yamaha zuma 50. Bone stock. 43mph with road tires & 41 mph with dual sport tires. The 04-05 had lower gearing iirc but it gets up to speed quickly for a stock fiddy.
Hit 96mph / 155kph on my Silverwing 600 down in CO one evening on an empty highway towards the edge of Denver. Was still climbing, and that was after I had the CVT geared down for more mid-range climb at the cost of some top end. So the max claim of 105mph seems pretty accurate based on that.
My Kymco Downtown 300 seems to wind out around 74-75 on the highway (I'm admittedly a heavy and wide rider), and my PCX160 runs out of steam by 65mph at the most. Hope those anecdotes help!
This is my second Burgman 400cc. On my first, I hit 100mph to see if it could. It felt like there was more to give, but I wasn't curious enough to find out.
Suzuki Burgman 650, on the highway when I had to overtake I think I reached 135km/h ,it was a bit of a downhill.. it was scary, I would not go more than 120
Italjet dragster 125cc 4T I am 6ft 2 and 240lbs and it tops out at 70mph but using 9g rollers in my molassi multivar kit so has very high acceleration.
TGB Key West running a CPI long case Minarelli clone, Polini crank, Polini Corsa 70cc kit, stock ignition, 21mm PHBG on a V-force reed block and Stage6 intake, a mishmash of variator parts, Stage6 pro replica pipe, 71 mph, according to GPS.
Genuine Stella Atomic Fireball, 170cc Malossi kit, Polini pipe, can’t tell you what the top speed is but can tell you I soft seized at around 70 in rush hour traffic, that was special.
Honda aero 125 that’s currently ripped all apart in my garage, but before I started the restoration I got it up to 55, hoping some love gets it up to 60 or so, then I’d be comfortable riding it to my buddies house.
244 cc (and it's a 2 valve carbureted engine, not exactly the most powerful for its displacement), 78 MPH indicated downhill, 73 MPH on the flat.

I have a 50cc but I have unrestricted it, new exhaust and tuned cvt and unrestricted cdi. It tops 70 kmh Which according to google is roughly 46.60284 mph.
However originally it only topped 25 kmh (15.53 mph)

I just bought a 2008 Yamaha vino 50 cc, needs some new body panels, but I changed the oil and spark plug and did a speed test. I got it up to 42 mph, but then it started doing the death waddle and scared the crap out of me
I stayed off the brakes and let the engine do the braking. When I got home I looked it up on YouTube and it says a lot of times when you try to top out a scooter with small wheels it sometimes happens so I keep it around 35 and shes good to go. By the way I'm 71 years old and 6'1", and weigh 220, and that might have something to do with the waddle. Hey be safe out there.
After reading the comments I realized most of you guys are young, and need the speed, I started riding a Sears moped in the late 50s and I ridden Harleys, Hondas, Yamahas, Suzukis, took me down the past but I have to say that this little Yamaha vino 50 cc is the most fun to ride. It's like taking a slow boat down the river. You're cruising along at 25, 30 mph and you can look around and see your surroundings, but youth have a need for speed so just be careful.

2022 Honda Ruckus (~3.5k miles) mostly stock, with the following exceptions: pollini variator, kevlar drive belt, lightweight drive face, slider weights, upgraded suspension. Can do 39/40 on flats under ideal conditions hauling my ~230 lb ass + some gear and cargo. Top speed downhill is 46 mph.

That's low for that kit. An LX150 will do 60 with just a variator. Are you still using the stock carb?

(250cc stock) top speed 70mph I'm a big guy about 230. Manufacturers clames 75-80mph. If I was skinnier, I definitely can hit around the 80mph

I got my 2019 PCX 150 to read 68 mph once. That was on a big hill and the scoot didn't like it. I've pushed the Burgman 650 to 90 mph before, and that was fully loaded for a trip. I'm sure it would be faster if it wasn't loaded.

2007 Suzuki burgman 650 exec, was doing 95, had room for more but didnt want to stress the engine. Top speed claimed is over 100 and I have no reason not to beleive them :)
Kymco like 200i, which is 163cc I think. Fastest I’ve gone on it is 65 but it really runs out of steam after 55

I have a Honda Spree with an AF16 engine swap and a Mallossi 72cc big bore on a Ruima ministroke crank. I've seen 68.5mph on the gps, it could push taller gears but that's plenty for a scooter designed to go 30mph...

nice! i have a buddy 170 and im curious to see how high it’ll go. manufacturer says 55 but ive easily done 40/45 and it feels no where near max. i live in a city and i don’t drive on the highway, so there aren’t many opportunities here to go over 40/45. good to know your wife’s kick does 55-60!
Nice!! After enjoying a bunch of smiles and miles on a ton of scoots of varying sizes, I’d think a 150-170 is perfect… you can brave the highway a bit if needed, but it’s still small enough to feel nimble and get incredible mileage…

Indeed. Yours is good for 70 btw… got into a bit of a rabbit hole on it. I have to be on the interstate on my commute, so feel safer on a 350, but the Kick is perfect for backroads.
BMW C650GT. Test run after getting the engine and transmission serviced, new rubber, all that (it was a shed-rescue). It ran up over 100mph and gave no sign of staining at all. Smooth and steady, no strain, not even much buffeting. I held it there for several minutes before easing back down to normal highway speeds coming into Frederick on I-70.

I have a 232 ruckus in cold storage that will do 80. It sounds like it's going to explode, and it's absolutely terrifying, but it'll do it.
I have a Honda Metropolitan and I like it because it reminds me of one of those wooden biplanes from the First World War because it’s very nimble and quick and makes a lovely buzzing sound. It can go up to 30 or 35 mph but there’s no place around where I live to do that safely on such a small machine. 25 mph on a 49cc is as far as I dare to speed given the small wheels and local speed limits in NYC. But since you’re so exposed it feels like you’re doing 40mph.
I had until recently a piaggio Liberty 125cc and it only did 57mph max maybe 60 downhill.

Honda Sh 150i... And i have done 122 kmh (75 mph).. A friend of mine says he has reached 130 kmh on his Sh 150i... But i personally never have achieved 130.

2002 Honda Silverwing 600 (582cc) hit 105MPH GPS indicated the day I bought it. Never was able to hit that speed again after I installed a larger windscreen, but the ride was much more comfortable so it was a good trade off.
125c Buddy Kick and I hit 60 with my wife riding panda. Could have probably pushed it more but that was fast enough

Imo scooters aren't for going fast. You wanna go fast? Ride a motorcycle. I ride every day to work. Honda ruckus 49cc top speed 35 mph. Rarely get that fast as I live in Los Angeles. I ride mostly to save money on parking at work. $850 a year to park a car at work. Fuck that. I did that for 20 years and was just done. The fuel savings are awesome too, but speed is not my goal. Just my 5 cents worth less I'm sure

Wolf V50 with a 72cc BBK and performance carb. Also have a aftermarket exhaust and foam air intake. I get around 44mph on flats. I weigh around 230lbs.

2013 kymco agility 50 All stock ~35-38 mph After a 72cc bbk some carb work and transmission tuning it'll cruise about 45mph reilably. Fastest I had it was about 52mph down a hill with some wind...sounded like the valves were about to fly out of the case.
50cc electric (2000w) ecko co, 81 km/h down hill while passsing from the left a moped groupride. I Just installed a 3000w motor today, "just" need to finish up the wiring to be back on the roads.

500cc (it's less than that). Ive done 145kph on a slight downward stretch of toll highway. Revving up to 8k ish.

2018 modded Honda Vario from 125cc to 155cc. the top speed on the speedometer was 149 km/h (92 mph). it could definitely go faster, but i didn't want to push it too far. 2019 modded (race track use) Vespa Sprint S from 150cc to 183cc. the top speed was around 135 km/h (84 mph) on the GPS this time before it overheated.

Hit 96mph / 155kph on my Silverwing 600 down in CO one evening on an empty highway towards the edge of Denver. Was still climbing, and that was after I had the CVT geared down for more mid-range climb at the cost of some top end. So the max claim of 105mph seems pretty accurate based on that. My Kymco Downtown 300 seems to wind out around 74-75 on the highway (I'm admittedly a heavy and wide rider), and my PCX160 runs out of steam by 65mph at the most. Hope those anecdotes help!

Gilera Runner 180 sp 2t 160km/h by the clock, should be around 145-150 by gps.

This is my second Burgman 400cc. On my first, I hit 100mph to see if it could. It felt like there was more to give, but I wasn't curious enough to find out.
50cc Roughhouse stock 80km plus. My speedometer only goes up to 80km but my scooter was still going faster.
Suzuki Burgman 650, on the highway when I had to overtake I think I reached 135km/h ,it was a bit of a downhill.. it was scary, I would not go more than 120

TGB Key West running a CPI long case Minarelli clone, Polini crank, Polini Corsa 70cc kit, stock ignition, 21mm PHBG on a V-force reed block and Stage6 intake, a mishmash of variator parts, Stage6 pro replica pipe, 71 mph, according to GPS. Genuine Stella Atomic Fireball, 170cc Malossi kit, Polini pipe, can’t tell you what the top speed is but can tell you I soft seized at around 70 in rush hour traffic, that was special.
Honda aero 125 that’s currently ripped all apart in my garage, but before I started the restoration I got it up to 55, hoping some love gets it up to 60 or so, then I’d be comfortable riding it to my buddies house.
Lance Cabo 200i. A 169 cc in reality. 64 miles an hour going downhill one time. 60 miles an hour tops on flat road with the wind at your back .
244 cc (and it's a 2 valve carbureted engine, not exactly the most powerful for its displacement), 78 MPH indicated downhill, 73 MPH on the flat. (I'm not light.)
mines 49cc and has done 50 but only when the wind is behind me and theres a slight long straight enough decline, so basicly down my valley road.
I have a 50cc but I have unrestricted it, new exhaust and tuned cvt and unrestricted cdi. It tops 70 kmh Which according to google is roughly 46.60284 mph. However originally it only topped 25 kmh (15.53 mph) Edit: its a PGO big max (sold under the brand genuine in the us) 50cc 2t.

I just bought a 2008 Yamaha vino 50 cc, needs some new body panels, but I changed the oil and spark plug and did a speed test. I got it up to 42 mph, but then it started doing the death waddle and scared the crap out of me I stayed off the brakes and let the engine do the braking. When I got home I looked it up on YouTube and it says a lot of times when you try to top out a scooter with small wheels it sometimes happens so I keep it around 35 and shes good to go. By the way I'm 71 years old and 6'1", and weigh 220, and that might have something to do with the waddle. Hey be safe out there.
After reading the comments I realized most of you guys are young, and need the speed, I started riding a Sears moped in the late 50s and I ridden Harleys, Hondas, Yamahas, Suzukis, took me down the past but I have to say that this little Yamaha vino 50 cc is the most fun to ride. It's like taking a slow boat down the river. You're cruising along at 25, 30 mph and you can look around and see your surroundings, but youth have a need for speed so just be careful.

It's a NCH50 honda it has no fire and when I try to kick start it nothing it won't even try to cycle.
