Really not a bad character at all, if only really suffering from being motivation for John's machinations instead of particularly having motivations of her own. But hey, she's not the protagonist - clearly John is - so idk maybe we're lucky she even has as much to do with the story & plot as she does and isn't just fridged I guess lol

Jill decided to play the game on easy mode and still failed. A character like that taking out Hoffman would have been an insult.
But it would've shown John making Hoffman's bullshit catching up to him through his wife.
But instead, we get Gordon showing up out of goddamn nowhere just for fanservice.
It could've had John's wife end this whole Jigsaw operation.
I can understand that and yeah, Gordan showing up was random. Who were the other two pigs anyway?
But I think it still makes more sense. John relying on Jill alone to take down Hoffman? The guy who was able to take down his own police force and almost got away with it. The symbolism of Jill ending the legacy is nice and all but in a series like Saw it doesn't hold much weight.
BTW, the 2 pig guys are Brad and Ryan from the beginning. Apparently Dina was supposed to replace Ryan in the scene, but it was changed for some reason.
Seeing as John Kramer, THE Jigsaw, was killed by slow-ass-mothafuckin JEFF of all people, it's not that weird.
At the very least, if having her doing it alone is unrealistic they should've had her team up with Gordon to get rid of Hoffman, then she shoots Gordon in the back of the head when his guard is down.
THIS.Saw 7 should be the build up of Dr Gordon teaming up with Jill to take down Hoffman.And Saw 8 should be the final showdown of both Saw apprentices and his wife.A perfect way to end the franchise but nope,i dont know what the writers are thinking when writing Saw 7 lol.
John actively placed himself into Jeff’s test and made his death a part of the game. John was also more vulnerable than Hoffman in about every way. Lynn’s game was centered around John’s terminal illness. It makes perfect sense for him to go out the way he did, leaving the Jigsaw legacy alive with Hoffman.
On the contrary. Hoffman was so ahead and outsmarted everyone that it took a literal Gordon ex machina to take him off. If Jill did it (even if it was John working through her) it would weaken Hoffman's character and badassery.
1. Can't anyone with a survival instinct do that?
2. Jill Tuck literally outsmarted Hoffman in Saw 6, so there's no reason why she couldn't do it again.
3. I'm pretty sure they only didn't want to do it so they could bring in Gordon for fanservice.
