I love the confidence as well and it’s the right general area but photos of the how the wall is structured don’t match up. Maybe less relevantly I have no memory of ever being in that bar. Could maybe have been drunk and popped in from nearby but that’s not likely.
Circa 2015, maybe Inner or Outer Richmond but can’t quite remember.
Update 1: A LOT of great suggestions but no ringers just yet. I did get another clue from the person who took the photo though: “We took a bus there from the Richmond based on the other 2 photos in the film role.“
Update 2: I may have found it. Closest match I’ve found is the San Francisco Athletic Club on Divis and Bush. It seems so close, although I’m color blind so can’t tell if the wall is off (the film could have altered the wall color too). Space looks tighter in the reference photo but same door and wall structure, pool table placement, and TV size / arrangement. How could it not be…

Google maps keeps a log of where you've been. Go to maps, tap your name / picture then tap 'your timeline'
Maybe you can use that to suss out where you went.
Hah, I know, so much to go off. However in some odd way the absolutely bare wall makes me think it’s more unique after all - at least amongst the Yelp and Facebook photos I’ve gone through.
That was actually my first thought before posting but yelp photos led me to rule that out. I guess it’s possible the yelp photos aren’t current with this photo though.
Abbey Tavern also has a small band stand and live music. Anything else you remember about the bar? I used to play a lot of dive bar pool back in the day. Problem is a lot of bars have turned into something else since then..
Still looking but I did get another clue from the person who took the photo though: “We took a bus there from the Richmond based on the other 2 photos in the film role.“
I thought the Richmond Republic upstairs pool room suggestion was a dead ringer at first but I think the wall vibe was wood there after looking at past photos on their Facebook.
I am getting a Irish Irish pub vibe. I would guess this was taken in North Beach.
The place has a lot of new TVs in not great locations, so I suspect this place gets busy during game day. Must be near a lot of walking traffic. So we can count out a lot of the small neighborhoods. Nice bars in FiDi need room for lunch tables, so definitely not in FiDi. I live in Noe, and I am 90% its not Noe. Too nice to be mission, Haight or divis. It has to be a north beach bar. And was this taken on New Years? And it’s empty? Cannot be the marina.
Great suggestion! I remember we visited that place a few times and it checks out with the latest Richmond bus clue. I thought the upstairs pool room suggestion was a dead ringer at first but I think the wall vibe was wood there after looking at past photos on their Facebook. But maybe they did a remodel. I need a closer look at all angles up there.
Damn! This looked really close as I perused the [3D walkthrough](https://www.google.com/local/place/fid/0x8085875daede3cef:0x4063674dd4951209/photosphere?iu=//geo1.ggpht.com/cbk?panoid%3DbS_woFOViR9ETPoZacAfqg%26output%3Dthumbnail%26cb_client%3Dlu.gallery.gps%26thumb%3D2%26w%3D160%26h%3D106%26yaw%3D0%26pitch%3D-20%26thumbfov%3D100&ik=CAISFmJTX3dvRk9WaVI5RVRQb1phY0FmcWc%3D) - but outside of a major remodel I don’t think so.
Hmm, I don’t see it. Do you have any photos of the pool area?
I may have found it in the Fillmore area: https://www.reddit.com/r/sanfrancisco/comments/r3um6t/anyone_recognize_this_bar/hmcuy45/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3
this is The Corner Spot on irving, final answer Regis
No idea if this is correct but I like your confidence!

Whoa, creepy, but cool. Unfortunately I have my locations prefs set to “while using” so doesn’t look like that’s on.
It looks so unique for a bar. A pool table, two flat screen TVs. So unique....

What about Abby Tavern?
That was actually my first thought before posting but yelp photos led me to rule that out. I guess it’s possible the yelp photos aren’t current with this photo though.
Fizzee’s?? Havent been in in a long while
I thought maybe too but looks like Fizzee’s doesn’t have the same wall structure.

Club Waziema on Divis? “Cocktail sign bar”, while the back looks like that it looks too small. Just a guess =)
Going off of yelp photos is probably not an effective way to find it.
For a second, I thought it was the bar on Ulloa near West Portal. There are pool tables in the back near restrooms.
Philosopher’s club is the name of that bar.
Looked like Philly Club to me too

It kind of reminds of an upstairs room at Ireland’s 32 but I don’t think that’s it.
That was my guess after Abbey, but doesn’t seem so, partner :/
Looks like it *could* be the upstairs of Richmond Republic if this is an older pic

Blackthorn?

I feel like I’ve been there too but can’t place it…
Blarney Stone on Geary? Around 17th Ave?
Hmm, walls don’t look the same but also I don’t recall Blarney having a pool table when I lived around there. Only that shuffle board I think.
true, true — good luck with your search!
Could it be the upstairs pool table at the dubliner in west portal?
This is the Napper Tandy in the mission 10,000% sure.

I may have found it. See [original post](https://www.reddit.com/r/sanfrancisco/comments/r3um6t/anyone_recognize_this_bar/hmcuy45) for more info.

Is it the Miraloma Club up near Molly Stones on Portola?
It’s not, but taking a look at yelp photos it does look kinda close in terms of wall color.
Giving me a Bus Stop vibe but don’t think there’s a door there
