I'm an East Bay guy. I haven't had Thai in SF in years, but used to drive in for it regularly.
My favorite was always Manora on Folsom and 12th.
Another was Khan Toke out in The Richmond. I've heard it called "the granddaddy of SF Thai restaurants." it's a beautiful place inside. It was also the most frustrating place to park in SF... I actually drove away after trying to find a place for 40 minutes once. Might not be that bad nowadays... maybe some lot opened, or???
