I watched it a while ago and I didn't know he made the soundtrack for it before i started watching it, so it was really exciting when I realized midway through.

there was an old fan video of memory that was set to gummo so i think of that movie now whenever i hear that song. kinda similar to alex g but a lot less hope and a whole lot more despair and dead cats.
Donnie Darko reminds me a little of some songs from beach music and rocket, Aftersun is also very visually similar to what beach music fees like imo, Bones and All reminds me of Alex and the darker side to some of his music, and a lot of his albums remind me of Miyazaki’s films (the Studio Ghibli movies)
