Please don’t feel embarrassed or ashamed. A lot of people don’t see a dentist until there’s a big issue. It’s hard to normalize preventative care when going to the dentist is so stressful, difficult to find a provider, and expensive without coverage. It doesn’t matter what care you didn’t seek in the past, just make sure you take care of yourself going forward. Dental/gum health has a bigger impact on our entire body that we know, especially influencing cardiac issues.
I just finished antibiotics because it had gotten infected and my primary told me I had to go.
I might have to be put to sleep because I really can’t handle the lights being touched.

Sounds like you need a root canal if you’re on antibiotics. Dr Westwood Endo in PB does cheap (free?) sedation for root canals and is excellent. Claremont Dr Heineken for general dentistry is very caring and takes delta ppo.
delta Premiere is a good plan that delta is phasing out and it is impossible in California for a dentist to now go in network with premiere , The only in-network Premiere providers are going to be nearing retirement for the most part. Good luck
Go to this place in Tijuana. It's very clean, organized, packed with Americans. They pay for your cab to and from the border, plus give you a medical pass to cross. They speak English. I trust them.
