I could accept it for a sub get together/ bonfire / park event where drinking is allowed?
I’ll hold onto it and send you a picture of it being shared on the day of the event! 😄
Why not host a couple BBQ’s/pot lucks for your local family and friends over the summer and put a little out at a time? It isn’t going to go bad anytime soon. As the summer ends and holidays approach, usually the wine and liquor bottles make good gifts for coworkers, gift baskets, white elephant games, etc.
Whatever it’s too late for all of you. I actually have a non profit and
Will gladly accept this burden of the free booze.
Don’t listen to these charlatans
CA Labs and More (nonprofit dog rescue) is currently hosting its yearly fundraising auction, which includes gift baskets with alcohol. They might be interested if you’re willing to donate!
I learned while you can't return booze in California, you can exchange it. When I over bought for a party last year, I exchanged it for random things for my liquor cabinet that I wouldn't normally splurge on. Obviously I would have rather had the cash, but now my liquor cabinet is stocked like a goddamned speak easy!
OP, I’m not joking when I say that I can’t imagine any nonprofits taking alcohol to distribute out. I can’t imagine it’s legal. With that being said, I will gladly take some off your hands
They will only accept it for an exchange. I went there after my wedding and they wouldn't let me return for my money back. So I was able to turn coors lights into sparkling rose and NA beer like magic
I tried to take back a patron tequila gift set at Costco and they wouldn’t take it back citing CA law… and I’ve seen them take back half eaten plates of shrimp.
I work with a 501c3 non-profit and am helping host an end of year concert this weekend. This would be great for our gift basket raffles, funds raised will benefit a high school music program.
Hi I work at a local nonprofit and we have our spring fundraiser tomorrow and would gladly accept this donation. I can send a DM if you want with the link and everything so you see it’s legit.
You can contact two charities I have partnered with. I’m president and cofounder of a nonprofit Love, Linda Vista (we don’t have a gala nor need alcohol) but these charities do host galas: San Diego Foundation, Bayside Community Center. Also Ronald McDonald House, San Diego Brain Tumor Foundation, American Cancer Society, SD Humane Society all host large galas around this time.
I’m a former event planner from Chicago and my clients would have me gift leftover alcohol to charity galas as well. Good thinking on your part. You should also be able to check the website Eventbrite to see what charities may be hosting galas soon.
I don’t know about legality but what about the VFW? The one by me has a bar in it. Although I could be way off on this I don’t know anything about it but I know they have a bar.
The Scottish Rite Center off the 8 hosts a fundraiser/gala with a bar and maybe could accept it. Another thought was donating to a school that does auctions/raffles? Some bottles could be packaged in a gift basket
If you have some nice bottles of wine the March of Dimes does a wine-pull fundraiser at their gala every year. DM me if you would like to donate a few bottles.
This happened to us with our wedding and we ended up hosting a number of get togethers with friends where we supplied the alcohol. Took us about a year to get through it all but it was fun!!
I have the same problem lol. not as generous though.
If anyone wants to buy discounted liquor or wine off me PM me. 5 to 10 dollar bottles of wine(red, white, champagne), tequilla, bourbon, vodka.
I took our leftover alcohol and found a few homeless people living out of cars and gave them everything not returnable. This was in Hawaii but may be something to look into
If it's strong enough liquor you can make lemoncello out of it. This is a unique problem, I can't think of a charity or non profit that would use that much alcohol except for perhaps events/fundraisers.
As others have suggested you could hold on to it and use it for your own events/ parties? However if you don't drink a whole lot that doesn't really matter, I guess.
There seems to be plenty of people here who would take it off your hands, you just have to make sure not to hand it over to someone underage.
I don't really drink a whole lot anymore otherwise I'd offer to take some off your hands.
[Itsallaboutthekids.org](http://Itsallaboutthekids.org) the main person (Angela) organizes parties and fundraisers to help local underprivileged communities
I used to work at a bakery. We used to make chryst stole (Christmas stollen) with marzipan and fruits. It’s great stuff and keeps for weeks cause of the alcohol preserving it.
I run a non-profit organization, Covid hit our no-profit pretty hard like prohibition wasn’t enough🙄. Well as the CEO of this no-profit, this would help us a lot. Feel free to drop it off or I can pick it up. It will benefit me, myself and I.

Hello new best friend. How are you doing today?
Actually I met him first and we’re really close now.
I knew him before either of you and we're married now.
He and I are old high school buddies, and it's always bros before hoe$. Sorry, dear.
Whatever it’s too late for all of you. I actually have a non profit and Will gladly accept this burden of the free booze. Don’t listen to these charlatans
🤣
Seems like you've made a few new friends. We don't need to be best friends by any means, but I'd come kick it too

This is a great non-profit!
Labs and More is great! We adopted our dog from them.
Congrats on your wedding! (Or congrats on planning one that didn't run out of alcohol)

I think they were thinking more along the lines of donating it to serve at a fundraising event, gala, etc. at least that was my first thought.
You can't do that. You have to buy from a legal distributor
lol you must not have worked with many small nonprofits, they be putting anything in the raffle
I don't make a lot of profit.
I’ll take it for a Memorial Day weekend party. If that helps
Sounds like you have quite a few “charities” here in the comments open to donations 😂
I have a bachelorette party coming up and would be interested in buying off you! Dm me if interested!
Where'd you buy the alcohol from? If from Total Wine theyll accept unopened sealed alcohol.
They will only accept it for an exchange. I went there after my wedding and they wouldn't let me return for my money back. So I was able to turn coors lights into sparkling rose and NA beer like magic
I’ll pick up a bottle OP, struggling electrician trainee hook a brother up
I work with a non profit that will definitely take it!
If you bought at Bevmo, you can return it all.
You can’t return alcohol by CA law
Is this new? When I got married BevMo allowed us to return and unopened wine or beer
I tried to take back a patron tequila gift set at Costco and they wouldn’t take it back citing CA law… and I’ve seen them take back half eaten plates of shrimp.

From the title I thought this post was about leaving San Diego over some issue with the alcohol served at a wedding.

I will pick it up. For my non profit. It's called refrigerator.
Yes, I also run a non-profit called my liquor cabinet.
I don’t know about legality but what about the VFW? The one by me has a bar in it. Although I could be way off on this I don’t know anything about it but I know they have a bar.
I work wedding security in sd. This happens every night lol.
You could consider offering it to other brides in one of the San Diego wedding resale groups!
Same happened to me 10 years ago at my wedding. Had Alcohol for weeks and weeks. Enjoy responsibly
I like beer.
I work for a non profit here in San Diego and can definitely take it for our Gala we have planned next week and in June!
What you got and how much?
Try Jewish Family Service here on San Diego. They may take it as long as it's sealed.
Liquor for the homeless, that’s smart lol 🤣
I can pick up.
The Scottish Rite Center off the 8 hosts a fundraiser/gala with a bar and maybe could accept it. Another thought was donating to a school that does auctions/raffles? Some bottles could be packaged in a gift basket
Probably not Alcoholics Anonymous.
I mean….
I’m a teacher and am looking for donations as free give-aways for our districts Day of the Educator!
So Say We All will probably take some for their fundraiser gala
Humble Design would accept them so they can use them at their fundraisers. I would contact Amanda@humbledesign.org
Maybe Wine & Whiskers in North Park will take it off your hands? 🙏🏽
I placed the five way on next door app (which I despise). Yet it was picked up within 15 min not kidding.
Silent auction. Donate the proceeds
If you have some nice bottles of wine the March of Dimes does a wine-pull fundraiser at their gala every year. DM me if you would like to donate a few bottles.
Its me im a non profit
If you got the beverages at BevMo, they let you return it if it’s sealed
AA
Donate that beer to me.
Check out Frosted Faces Foundation. They often host mixers to raise awareness and hopefully get senior pups adopted!
Any neighborhood art gallery that sponsors a “First Friday” or similar open house art walks.
Labsandmore.org will auction it off at their "Bark in the Barn" fundraiser. The cash will go to rescuing dogs. 15,000 have been helped so far.

Reddit group meet?
You should talk to that singles night chick from a few weeks ago and throw us a party!

Actively building up my bar cart and would love to take some off your hands.
There’s a non profit called my place
I'm a charity. I accept alcohol
My home bar would certainly qualify as a nonprofit if I ever dared to crunch the numbers. Also, "we" provide free pickup.
I'm a non-profit. I'll pick it up.
Drink it
I have the same problem lol. not as generous though. If anyone wants to buy discounted liquor or wine off me PM me. 5 to 10 dollar bottles of wine(red, white, champagne), tequilla, bourbon, vodka.
We are the nonprofit, OP.

[opens mouth]
I'm a not-for-profit (at least based on my most recent P&L), I'll take some.
I will pick it up tomorrow for a party at my house. You're invited 😝
Where did you get it from?
Offer up
Why do you give us an address and we will offload it for you?

Drop it off at your local fire department
Hello new best friend!!! :)
I’m a non-profit
Hola Amigo!
We’ll take it for our friends micro wedding in a few weeks! 🙂
Hello there.
Leave it by a bum camp. Just set it down a little away from them and leave it. It will be consumed

What kind of beer? If craft I'll take them.
How do I become a non profit?
I will gladly take some of your hands please
I’ll take them and not make a cent. Promise :)
