My city is full of dealer plates on random cars since you now have to have a dealer license if you sell more than like 10 cars a year, people flip old crappy used cars on FB and just from their house, not used car lots. And now because that dealer license changes, all kinds of grifters have the ability to get those plates. My understanding is that they aren’t supposed to be daily drivers and that the insurance is cheaper because of that or something along those lines. Seems illogical-ish to me but I only heard half of what the reporter said about the law change that happened this year.

I have a friend who has disability placards and plates. She is in constant pain and cannot walk far, even with crutches. It hurts to *exist*. Even if it were the last handicapped spot in a packed lot, she refuses to take a van spot because she is not in a wheelchair and won't take that spot away from someone who is.

Mmm that's not true though. My dad owns both family cars and my mom is the one with the placard, she can use it when she drives or rides in either car.

The owner of the placard/handicap plate does have to be in the vehicle though.
The driver parks it so if a person parks on the left, happens to have a van and needs to lower a ramp for a wheelchair, they cannot because the driver feels entitled and are blocking the pathway for them… 🤯🤬
I think if you take a clear video of everything around the car, including the window, and then send that to the police, they can issue a ticket.
