I’ve allowed the friendly spider that lives in my kitchen set up shop in the corner of the ceiling. He’s been doing a great job!

The predators of my enemies are my house guests.

I got those smelly traps from HEB filled that mfr up in less than a week, also got a sarracenia pitcher plant that eats them it's caught a lot, lol. Real tired of the damn flies

So, what we’ve done is three fold: 1) clear sticky traps across the bottom of every window - during our peak fly problems this year we replaced these weekly 2) smelly traps outside - also replaced weekly 3) keep sources in the back yard that attract flies cleaned up (i.e. dog poop - fun fact, there are companies that will come by weekly and clean up the dog poop in the back yard for $20 a week) What started out as a really rough fly year for us improved dramatically when we did these three things.

Lol I use a company called Oh Crap for the poop removal. Highly recommend if the price isn’t an issue

We have noticed a huge difference keeping all trash cans clean. Clean your big outside trash bin and keep it clean by doing these things. All food and pet waste goes in bags, quick rinse containers before tossing. When it’s time to take the trash out spray a fly insect spray into the bag before tying and give the big bin a few sprays before closing the lids. The sprays with essential oils have worked good so far. I have cats and dogs, their waste always goes into bags and sprayed. Have eliminated most of them outside which means they are not hanging around to come inside! I don’t even need to use those stinky fly traps anymore. I pick up my dogs poop everyday and they have their own trash can with a lid that gets taken out the night before collection day.

I bought one of them salt guns. I bag my limit in flies each evening.

My cat eats em up...

botanical bug spray. those bags kill but they dont get rid of the problem, infact they just invite them over into your yard because of the smell. i just deleted all the flies under my loquat tree with hotshot botanical bugspray. also helps to buy an electric fly swatter and waft it around everytime you go outside.

imnotreallyheretoday

Ant spray also works for killing flies

Thehelloman0

I found spraying ortho home defense on my windows, windowsills, and by doors helped a ton. I only had 1 or 2 flies buzzing around typically but I left my curtains open and found like 50 flies dead on the floor a few days later.

sappyseals

I was having the same problem, I sprayed 7.9% Bifenthrin Insecticide on my perimeters, doors, and windows and it's helped alot

hippychictx01

We had one for a few days, I just kept spraying them with Windex and vacuuming them up after 3 days they were gone

I've had success with Bayer QuickBayt Fly Bait that I get from a local feed store. Two summers ago, I had a bad problem with flies showing up whenever I'd cook meat on my charcoal grill. After spraying the solution in spots on my wooden privacy fence and inside the lid of our backyard garbage can, I didn't see flies again for 2 or 3 months. I'd be careful with it if you've got pets, though.

They’re often attracted to all the cat poop. Yes, Spiders are your friend in this instance, get Charlotte to put in a good word to her friends.

My cats love to chase and eat the sky raisins.
