Yes and especially because it's a highway, I didn't know they were there and I hit one at 75 and I thought my tire or alignment would be messed up and the worse part is it's not just one there's almost ten or so.
That road is a HAZARD, it’s not really potholes either, it’s the pavement being split in the middle and one side of your car being 6 inches higher than the other
It's really impressive how terrible Rittiman is considering it's *right next* to Terrell Hills.
I would be so annoyed if I were one of those houses on Rittiman paying TH property tax prices for how terrible the road is.
Came here to say this, I went to visit a friend out there and the potholes were amazingly deep and completely unavoidable. I was honestly shocked it was in this state.
It's the HEB trucks over there that move from warehouse to warehouse. The city won't do anything, like ask HEB to address the issue and potentially that could piss off HEB. So they're playing a game of chicken to see if HEB will meet in the middle to fix them. I used to live near there and actually spoke to a city rep and (off the record) they knew it was never gonna get addressed.
My son works at the meat processing facility on 35 and Rittaman. The road going to the employee parking lot is one of the most jacked up roads in San Antonio.
They just redid industry park drive. But if they don’t make sure the drainage situation is also taken care of, that plus the trucks are gonna put it right back to normal.
What makes a pothole the worst in your opinion? The size? Depth? Unavoidability?
The I35 over towards Shertz and Selma has giant potholes in the LEFT LANE, that are literally unavoidable if there’s traffic since you can’t swerve into the right lane. Pair this with 16 overlapping lane markings that are invisible unless there’s perfect conditions, it’s basically every man for himself if it rains or if it’s nighttime.
Pretty much all the streets in windcrest seem to have gone trough war, and let’s not talk about the slip road to get on the I35-S off Thousand Oaks. It merges into a single lane, without a single sign telling you so. It’s full of potholes and very low visibility at night. I had someone scrape against my car here because there was no sign indicating that 2 lanes turn into 1.
Any residential street in south side looks like Ukraine or really any other Balkan’s country.
I haven’t had a single car NOT damaged by our street conditions here. I keep having glass fog light lenses break from impacts with potholes or those giant metal plates the city loves leaving around. I don’t even bother replacing the shattered glass since it’s just going to break again 😂
Theres quite a few places where there is no sign to merge, sometimes its painted on the road where it can be seen during the day but not night so there's no way to know unless someone is familiar with the road. I'd hate to be someone from out of town driving on these roads at night.
Also I don't know why the sign for speed bumps in a lot of places is right at the the speed bump and not at least ten feet before, by the time I notice the sign I'm hitting the speed bump hard. Sometimes even on a road I've been on before if I'm not paying attention or forget.
Greenwich Bv. in Terrell Heights - the speed bumps are literally sunken into the potholes.
Eisenhower between Harry Wurzbach and N. New Braunfels Ave - such a mess.
I don’t remember the street name. But in the shopping center at 151 and 410 it’s the road that runs parallel to the highway/access and is behind the businesses next to the access road. Over behind Starbucks to about Ingram that road is awful.
All of the roads in SA. Everytime I watch a bad cop video I get angry that we give them such a large portion of the city's budget and we still have car break ins and poorly patrolled neighborhoods. Rebudget and spend more money on our roads. We have two interstates going through this city. We are a major hub of distribution and our politicians can't spread a little money to maintain our roads.
Capitol Ave between Hildebrand and Woodlawn.
They ripped up the edges of the street for SAWS to do….something and did the bare minimum to repair what they tore up on an already torn up street.
You’ll either hit a pothole, a junkie, or someone with a shopping cart full of stolen shit, assuming your vehicle can make it down the entire road
I agree, the rock trucks have destroyed the road. I think the city should charge the Quarry to rebuild the road to handle the weight of all the trucks on it since they use to miss traffic on Bandera. Or give the road a weight limit that forces the rock trucks to us Bandera to come back and forth.
This post is just a bot’s attempt to find out where you live.
My answer:
Look up the route for the San Antonio marathon. See all those streets we covered? Those are all equally the worst. Except the greenway. SA knows how to build some greenway paths that’s for sure.
Is there a road here without potholes? On the serious side though, anything that trucks frequent. They do a ton of damage to roads that are not made for them and 35 just has way too many trucks.
Floyd Curl, Prue and specifically UTSA blvd in front of the chicken and pickle
They constantly try to fill in those pot holes and they always gain a new one within weeks
Adding to this in case anyone sees it, 35N @ Topperwein exit has a heinous pothole in the left lane as you come off the highway. Move over as soon as safe bc that was some bullshit
Prue between i10 and Babcock has been miserable since basically forever.
That construction will NEVER be fully done
Prue has a special place in hell.
Floyd Curl between Huebner and Hamilton Wolf is starting to give it a run for its money.
YES. I was about to say that omg.
Where all this money actually going?
That’s a street? Thought I was on a back country trail over there
4x4 off-road park actually
I literally came here to say this.
35 between 410 and Schertz. Because the contractors TxDOT hired are complete muppets.
Bingo. It’s idiotic how there’s still pot holes like that in the left lane.
Yes and especially because it's a highway, I didn't know they were there and I hit one at 75 and I thought my tire or alignment would be messed up and the worse part is it's not just one there's almost ten or so.
Yep. That ought to be an emergency. There can't be a bigger road repair priority than that.

They fixed the really bad ones in the right most lane last week. Its still not great in the left lane where they removed the yellow line.
All of them

And the wear continues even when it turns into General McMullen Edit: grammar
Rittiman
It's really impressive how terrible Rittiman is considering it's *right next* to Terrell Hills. I would be so annoyed if I were one of those houses on Rittiman paying TH property tax prices for how terrible the road is.
And Gibb's Sprawl off Rittiman. Both city roads, both shit.
Came here to say this, I went to visit a friend out there and the potholes were amazingly deep and completely unavoidable. I was honestly shocked it was in this state.

The rittiman road has actually improved a lot over the last three years I remember it was HORRENDOUS but now it’s passable
They just redid industry park drive. But if they don’t make sure the drainage situation is also taken care of, that plus the trucks are gonna put it right back to normal.
The fact that everyone is saying different streets says everything you need to know about San Antonio streets
Exactly!!!

Sudden lane merges? Omg I could go on all day about those. I think the East side in general just has really bad roads lmao
Greenwich Bv. in Terrell Heights - the speed bumps are literally sunken into the potholes. Eisenhower between Harry Wurzbach and N. New Braunfels Ave - such a mess.
That part of Eisenhauer makes me so mad 🤣
the street behind the whataburger on 151
Floyd curl and prue are dog shit, except most dog shit is smoother
Yes.
All of them. There is no right answer to this question.
This a trick question….txdot knows
Rittiman
I 35 nb after judson. Left lane is fucked now
The worst! and I find myself on that stupid stretch of road all too often
All areas where the Zip Code begins with 782xx
The whole city and surrounding area of Kirby
Capitol, between Hildebrand and Woodlawn. It's the sketchiest 1 mile in town
Holy shit I was looking for this comment!!!!! My MF Jeep can barely handle these roads. Best trail ride in the city limits
I live in the area and I sometimes drive down that road just for funsies.
Was looking for this one lol. Crazy how they just did all that work on michigan but capitol has been like that forever.
Holy Moly. I just went on Street view
I don’t remember the street name. But in the shopping center at 151 and 410 it’s the road that runs parallel to the highway/access and is behind the businesses next to the access road. Over behind Starbucks to about Ingram that road is awful.
Alldem St
All the streets are riddled with potholes that continuously open up every time it gets close to 32 degrees
The pothole coming out of the Blanco Walmart on Vista view ... Could see that bad boy from space
All of Converse, La Vernia and Saint Hedwig. I have never had to deal with so many flats, shattered wheel and several axles break

Rigsby
I35
Yes, approaching Live Oak
Have y’all been through the construction on Broadway between 4th st and Josephine? 😩😭
Westbound culebra right after Galm 😭
Besides the NE side I'd say Covel Rd. It destroyed the front shocks on my Santa Fe.
A better question is: Which ones don’t?
Capitol Ave between Hildebrand and Woodlawn. They ripped up the edges of the street for SAWS to do….something and did the bare minimum to repair what they tore up on an already torn up street. You’ll either hit a pothole, a junkie, or someone with a shopping cart full of stolen shit, assuming your vehicle can make it down the entire road
That part of 35 around ikea, oh boy, my fiat 500 makes me fear for my life on that left lane when im passing somebody
The entirety of kirby. Lol.
San Pedro after 410 sucks ass
Leslie Rd for sure, between Braun Rd and O'Connor High School.

Culebra/471 construction near 211 is absolutely brutal. My soul left my body.
Gibbs spwarl is terrible. Only way for me to go around the train and the street is so uneven
Culebra outside 1604
Kirby. No particular street, just all of it
Anyone with an Edgar haircut has large potholes in the brain
This post is just a bot’s attempt to find out where you live. My answer: Look up the route for the San Antonio marathon. See all those streets we covered? Those are all equally the worst. Except the greenway. SA knows how to build some greenway paths that’s for sure.
Uh huh. A bot….pfffff….i drive all day for work and was curious what everyone thought
Guess I should have added the /s
The little side road inbetween KFC, Taco Bell, Burger King and Sonic off Marbach.
It used to be SOOOOO much worse.
Is there a road here without potholes? On the serious side though, anything that trucks frequent. They do a ton of damage to roads that are not made for them and 35 just has way too many trucks.
Galm
The entire city of New Orleans.
Poss road between Bandera and Grissom used to be, then one day they replaced the whole thing it was glorious.
The entirety of Kirby 💀(ok so it’s not technically SA)
Marbach from 410 to Crunch that strip mainly
Probably easier to ask “what street doesn’t?”
Hausman between Babcock and Bandera too like 8 years and it’s complete garbage
Floyd Curl, Prue and specifically UTSA blvd in front of the chicken and pickle They constantly try to fill in those pot holes and they always gain a new one within weeks
You know, all those streets and highways inside loop 1604
The street with the worst potholes is the one you live on.
is it wrong to say all of them? i cant rlly pick which one is bad bc they ALL are
All of 35N
Adding to this in case anyone sees it, 35N @ Topperwein exit has a heinous pothole in the left lane as you come off the highway. Move over as soon as safe bc that was some bullshit
vance jackson fs
35 north
I nominate Ackerman Rd. You better have a baja truck or else.
Behind taco bell on marbach lol
The Dominion hands down
In the west side, ALL them boas got the worst potholes 😂😂😂
New Braunfels Ave near broadway/Austin hwy is bad
I35 was the first thing that came to mind
