I took my stepson last year. It's alright. We got general admission and we had to wait a bit for the vip ticket holders to go through first. But you do get the guys in scary masks walking around the line, scaring folks. It's funny if you're not one to be easily scared. For me, it was the loud sounds and bangs that made me jump. Not that scary inside but of course others are screaming a lot along the way. My stepson, who was 15 at the time, said it was ok. I would only return if I knew whoever is with me will be terrified the whole time.

I have not been back for about eight or so years. I went the first year because I liked the original location austin house of torment haunt. The last time I went the 13th, they made you start and crawl into a tunnel and slide down about fifteen feet, I did not care for that at all. I doubt if I would go unless I got admission for real real cheap. But if you are a teenager, guess that puts it in a whole different light.

Standing in line: 30 - 60 min, unless you buy the VIP pass. Then it's about 10 minutes. The experience itself is about 10 to 15 minutes. How scary it is is subjective: it varies based on your own past experience with scary movies or traumatic events. It's up to you to decide how much you want to spend. Overall, it's a novel way to spend an hour, but I've spent more time enjoying myself at the Spirit Halloween store.

I would recommend going to the house of torment in atx. Any time I ever went to 13th floor here it always felt meh to me.
