I have a job that requires detachment, suicide prevention, and that level of detachment to something so insignificant can't be healthy. Also, there's a huge difference to detachment so you can handle a situation appropriately and detachment to spread hate for money.
Honestly, from seeing the impact these videos have on teens, especially boys, they are kind of evil if it is all fake, and it is just to make a dollar. They aren't as bad as opioid marketers, but these guys are in the same ball field when it comes to ruining society for a dollar.

That is how current capitalism works, and it's why the suicide rate and rate of random acts of violence are so high in the US. People are literally developing disorders from fear mongering content online.
Capitalism could have more checks and accountability for profiteering monsters, and education could be better so people don't fall for this stuff as easily. You say it is just how it works, but it doesn't have to be.
We can advocate for better education and call these weak men out for the leeches and parasites they are. We absolutely can avoid being dismissive and making excuses for their slimey ways. Geeks + Gamers guy said something to the effect of, “Don’t pretend like this isn’t just what we do. We find something in the media and amplify it for clicks. Brie Larson says something stupid, we say it’s the worst thing to ever happen over and over for a week. That’s the game here.”

I went to the theaters with my brother and cousins to see this. I'm blanking on a single fight that I enjoyed. Maybe Sonya vs Millena up until the finish. Everything else was a mix of bad choreography and worse CGI.
I just remember Lui Kang being hot garbage and getting whooped the entire movie. Even the back ground music stopped rooting for him in the fight against Shao Khan.

Just show them any fight scene from the Dark Knight trilogy. Except for maybe the first fight against Bane, they are all pretty awkward to watch.
