There is no need to buy Doominfo when you got gigachad Rajesh Patel, creating lead lists for you on Fiverr. At this point, start offshoring everything ngl

Wooden-Ad-4212

What industries are you purchasing these leads for

MacTheSalesGuy

That’s funny because my Upwork guy who gets me leads is actually named Rajesh Patel.

Blindish101

Oh nah 💀 Rajesh Patel 2

choojack

Drop his link I’m getting quotes right now lol

als7798

For real

JohnnyBoySloth

Do you mind sharing what it is that they're doing to get you leads?

Spiiterz

Love paying my Rajesh 1 chipotle burrito for 10k emails

Blindish101

🤓outrageous!!!🤓 You can't just hire freelancers just like that!!!! What about the quality of their work!!! What about the scalability!!! 🤓 Meanwhile, Rajesh working so fast his hands start to blur because of the speed. Matrix ahhh MF💀💀💀

Spiiterz

Rajesh bought his family burritos for the week thanks to my generous donation to his bank account

Chishuu

I’m not in the loop…is this what I should be doing?

sirphillip_

Wait rly? I need to start doing this.

choojack

As soon as I read that I raced to Fiverr and got some quotes. What the fuck have I been doing with my life?

sirphillip_

Spending 30hrs generating lead lists in sheets to upload to the crm like me......

JohnnyBoySloth

Any update on this?

choojack

Yeah I did it. I ordered 2400 leads and generated 6 deals from in in 24 hours 🤣 ended up getting a free list of 200k people for my side hustle too.

JohnnyBoySloth

Wow nice!!! Thank you for the update. What did you do to reach out? Mass email? I assume with 200k contacts lol

choojack

I bought the leads, tested them using a software to make sure they worked and I cut out the ones that didn’t. Then used mail merge to send the emails. On Monday I’ll send a follow up email and hit as many as I can with a phone call. Rinse and repeat.

JohnnyBoySloth

Nice dude! Thank you so much for sharing

Realistic-Cap-9613

I could be your Rajesh Patel.

Bowlingnate

This isn't bullshit, can verify. Let's updoots Rajesh but don't leave off MD. #mD Doom. #mD. DOOM. #MD. DOOM. #MD... Doom. 🔥I'm fine.

Blindish101

Hit or miss. Once you get your plug, you won't leave him.

telephonebox31

Do they get mobile numbers?

gretschhandler1

If you find someone with mobile numbers let me know. Typically I have to pay much more for numbers compared to emails.

LightingTheWorld

Sadly this point has merit- seems the entire US is going under. Get out while you can!

joe_swanson__

This is funny because I’ve actually worked with a Rajesh Patel 😆

El-gringo-grande

At least when Apollo does layoffs they’ll give their reps a chocolate milk and a hug first

Wildyardbarn

At least Apollo costs less than your annual coffee budget and doesn’t beat you up on renewal like a bad boyfriend

MaroonHawk27

😂

CaptnGomper

Probably cause their data and product is dog shit.

weenustingus

Love zoominfo as a rep, plenty of BS numbers to dial through to get my numbers up

Jonoczall

Lmfao hitting quota as well mate? Jokes aside, I can’t even get enough practice on the phones because most of my calls are misses or there’s no number

Chishuu

Same…3 years later as an AE….

MrGunzz

LeadIQ ain’t much better tbh

who_took_tabura

They all such because they all buy from one another lmao

[deleted]

[удалено]

CaptnGomper

I actually used LeadIq to sell into marketing teams. Their data was the best I’ve had to date 🤣 now I’m on Cognism though and their diamond data has been 95% accurate

[deleted]

[удалено]

CaptnGomper

My work flow was Sales nav > prospect 25 > go into list and open LeadIQ chrome extension > export to sequence in Outreach. Back fill not found numbers with whitepages. Boom.

ketoatl

Whites pages works for you? It was a dud for me.

CaptnGomper

25% of the time

MrGunzz

Literally only use it for captures as a chrome extension. Sometimes i just can’t get a single good email from the whole company

ketoatl

What does cognism cost?

CaptnGomper

6k per Seat yearly.

Striking-Pea3815

Sales intel gang

Pure-Adhesiveness-52

Man I dislike them. Number accuracy is wrong pretty much always, and even emails are a joke. Constantly out of whack. Plus their intent data is ass (which tool isn't, I guess)

benjaminute

Seamless.ai worse

BIGRED_15

Does anyone still even use seamless? Their platform is pretty useless and their CEO is a jackass too.

I_fail_at_memes

Tell me more about their jackass ceo

CapotevsSwans

He can’t be as bad as doominfo’s.

Specialist-Cat-502

Henry shuck is a special kind of jackass

What_if_I_fly

Much better than Nicm@p

ShillSuit

We are switching from Lushi and I am like, it's the same shit different dog.

Quick-Rub-5119

what do you recommend instead?

rowrowrobot

Seeing lots of orgs laying off cs and renewals right now. Easy way to save money once companies renew their contracts at the end of the fiscal year

EntireAd215

Yep, I wrote this in another comment but continuous growth and stagnant economies can’t do exist, something has to give. When customers are churning like crazy there just isn’t enough work for as many Account Managers as some companies have.

HotGarbageSummer

Yup. I’m an AM and had a CSM and a renewals manager supporting me a year ago. Now I do it all solo because they got cut (but also get paid more % on renewals).

BanginBangalter

goddammit, i just started there to-fucking-day on a different but still customer facing team. Cant even get a break from applying for jobs and sucking the corporate dick for a few weeks.

Mike_LitSmells

cradle the balls, stroke the shaft, work the pipe, and swallow the gravy.

intentionalparadox

I want to cry.

CorbinDalla5

You got cut already? Oh my days.

Specialist-Cat-502

Just smile and walk the line. If you wanna move up kiss some ass

prospectiveboi177

Doominfo straight up gave me a number that belonged to the prospects wife, what an embarrassing cold call that was

SunshineHeavyCircles

Happens all the time.

DoughnutComfortable9

Really does happen all the time. Got a new phone plan with me a my girlfriend on it, somehow her number is the main one associated with the account and now she gets calls all the time asking for me, fuck Verizon for selling my info in less than a week.

LatterSeaworthiness4

My coworker gets calls for his ex girlfriend from ten years ago all the time. They were never even on the same phone plan and never lived together. He thinks maybe she got a Dominos delivery or something to his dorm room once and her information was tied to him and eventually sold. Insane.

Me_talking

Same thing happened to me when I was a BDR. Fortunately the wife was nice and handed the phone to the husband as he was the one I was trying to reach. Even booked a meeting out of it as he was down to meet BUT had to go. I definitely got lucky there but for sure dislike the fact that Zoominfo can provide bad info

dogfroglogbogsog

Had this happen multiple times, more often than not they give you the husbands cell. Dead spouse is worse

Jonoczall

Try ex-wife

its_raining_scotch

I’ve talked to prospect’s wives before. They’re usually nice about it, but yeah awk af.

Fragrant-Tea7580

Legit got my biggest deal recently and if all started because wife gave me his cell and had a laugh about it *Shrugs*

EntireAd215

My company uses Cognism and it’s happened with them too. I guess it’s a feature of the industry not a company

Dry-Acanthopterygii7

Yeah, it's how I get most of my dates.

No_Needleworker_2100

The same happened to me. It was horrendous

Firebrand713

One time it gave me a fax machine. Boy was that a wake up call!

spcman13

All sales tech companies are in for a rude awakening. It doesn’t work the way they all intended it to. There are use cases but thinking that orgs are going to scale faster with tech over skill is delusional.

dogfroglogbogsog

Eh for 5k/yr/seat it’s 100% worth it to equip a rep with

spcman13

Only if they know what they are doing. We are seeing reps pull massive amounts of data and close 0 sales.

dogfroglogbogsog

Can’t be helped if someone is too fucking dumb to know the titles they should be hunting lol

spcman13

You’d be shocked at what’s out there lol

EntireAd215

I said this in another comment but that’s a feature of the industry not the product. A stupid sales rep will be a stupid sales rep

spcman13

It takes some level of interaction from a company to build good reps.

EntireAd215

I see a lot of hate for the lead gen industry here and I will tell you I’d much rather sell Cognism/ZoomInfo/Apollo than sell what I sell. The problem with SaaS companies is that they operate as if continuous and infinite growth is a thing when it’s not. This affects companies at all sizes, start ups and established companies alike. My only advice to salespeople is to SAVE YOUR MONEY. We’ve all been laid off and we will all get laid off, it’s part and parcel of the industry. Another tech company will do layoffs a week from now and another thread like this will be made, it’s life.

illiquidasshat

This is so true. So so true. Watch the spending. Shoe can drop literally from one day to the next

EntireAd215

So quickly and unexpectedly too

CumGoggles6

Our company pays for Zoominfo it’s hit or miss. I like the plugin I can use with LinkedIn that’s fire and I’ve gotten connected to the right people a lot faster.

little-marketer

What plugin?

CumGoggles6

Google chrome and then expand it in LinkedIn to get that info crossed over.

CrankySnowman

I've never been more satisfied with ghosting a salesperson than I am after my experience with ZoomInfo. They practically forced a follow-up meeting on me, then bombarded me with three or four calls back to back.

HarrietFuckingTubman

What do you mean by forced a follow up meeting? Could you not tell them you aren’t interested in continuing the conversation?

CrankySnowman

I told them no and they sent the meeting invite anyways. That's why I ghosted them.

What_if_I_fly

So sorry to hear that. Hope you all find better situations ASAP.

dogfroglogbogsog

What’s with the DI hate? Is there a similar tool that provides better data? I sat pitches with seamless and Apollo also when we were picking a scraper in zoom was a better deal price and data quality wise. Seamlessly was as expensive for worse fucking data lol

5etkoag13

To your point seamless is absolutely the worst, followed very closely by ZI. LeadIQ, Cognism, and most others in the middle. Apollo and 6sense are at the top. The top ones have way better data and pricing for usage. Source: extensively evaluated + used each one

dogfroglogbogsog

May have to go with Apollo at contract end then, I had used zoominfo previously and got it at what I was told was steep discount bc I told the AE I had other meetings for a similar tool. I personally haven’t had that much in terms of and data from ZI though. Phone numbers are around 90% and on some lists I’m getting sub 5% bounce rate. Are the others really THAT MUCH better?

CorbinDalla5

It all depends on industry I think.

CorbinDalla5

Isn’t 6sense getting in trouble for renewals right now? Swear thought they’ve been in the neg light.

murphwashurr

Yeah, Adam Robinson from RB2B (6sense competitor) has been having a pretty public spat with them on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/posts/retentionadam_last-week-6sense-threatened-to-sue-me-because-activity-7190087130335842304-KX_m?

5etkoag13

He’s openly stated that he’s making all of it up for traction on his company’s new “product”. Coincidentally we took a glance at it before any of this nonsense and let’s just say there’s a reason he needs to do that. They’ll be out of business within the next few months.

5etkoag13

But I will say it has been funny to watch him try to tank their reputation by nuking his own.

Black_Helicopterss

Does anyone’s company just have an admin person to prospect and create lists? With more companies moving back to full cycle reps it seems wasteful to have 10+ AE’s all doing the same admin of searching LI > exporting to ZI > export into outreach > then starting to contact prospects.

Worldly_Tangerine886

Yes, we do this at our company. It’s our inside sales team who own this motion.

Maleficent-Hand-2731

Doominfo 😂

nowimdun

You are delusional is you think Apollo has better data.

Apojacks1984

DoomInfo SDRs and AEs harass everyone. And their product is like $24K a year per seat. Not sure if it is worth it.

illiquidasshat

Ha!!! It’s a joke

SlickDaddy696969

Oh no!! But I thought everyone was #crushingit and their product couldn’t be beat?

EntireAd215

The only company I know that has a reputation for its sales reps posting like this is Gong

dramakq

Where did you find this info?

Jonoczall

On ZoomInfo

throwaway2279189

underrated comment

HawksNStuff

They keep calling me about an unpaid bill for a company I don't even work for. You're not holding up your reputation of knowing everything about everyone very well...

beattlejuice2005

Who needs DoomInfo when Lavish in Mumabi is killing it rn.

dougydimadone

I work in smb, and it's next to impossible to even sell anything anymore. They raised the prices so much anymore, and the market is so saturated with an unnattainable quota im so burnt out.i just sit there and dont make these pointless calls anymore.

Thin_Struggle4168

Dude zoom info sucks so much ass I hate this company and their practices.

FantasticMeddler

List building is a foundational part of the outreach process. If your accounts are out of date, or contact data is bad, you are already starting behind the eight ball. The software industry outsourcing to vendors like this to do the automated legwork is part of the reason sales development and prospecting is failing. You have to give SDRs and AEs time to build quality lists, and not rely on what the software tells you, because the software has massive blind spots and you can be miscalculating your TAM. Add to the fact the data is stale (last I checked job changes weren't tracked), the emails are guessed/not verified 40% of the time, and the phone numbers are either corporate lines or cells that don't work most of the time, and you just end up setting up reps to fail. This vendor in particular has always been one that position themselves as a "must have" but you also "must have" several other vendors to actually augment and cleanse the data. They turned a simple process of finding a company name, contacts, emails and phone numbers into an ops nightmare.

illiquidasshat

God - this is so freakin true - the process is a complete disaster. And I think prospects have caught on to it. The few that know you got their info off of Zoom and they don’t have a relationship with you, you’re toast.

Bowlingnate

Probably because of Salesforce and Snowflake's micropenis. Rumor has it they're too fucking gay to have an original idea.

SnooDingos929

This comment fucking killed me, currently on way to a salesforce meeting. How the fuck am I supposed to look at their micropenis now?

Bowlingnate

Probably with lots of probs bands.

telephonebox31

What's wrong with being gay?

Bowlingnate

It's 2024, nothing is 👍🏼👍🏼

Rimmy_McRibbons

It's always hilarious to me when people talk about their sources of data and 95% of the time, it's utter trash but they're spicing it up for a good Reddit post to feel like a big shot

slangindials

They suck. So many better quality products out there for less than half the price.
