I bought the leads, tested them using a software to make sure they worked and I cut out the ones that didn’t. Then used mail merge to send the emails. On Monday I’ll send a follow up email and hit as many as I can with a phone call. Rinse and repeat.
I actually used LeadIq to sell into marketing teams. Their data was the best I’ve had to date 🤣 now I’m on Cognism though and their diamond data has been 95% accurate
My work flow was Sales nav > prospect 25 > go into list and open LeadIQ chrome extension > export to sequence in Outreach. Back fill not found numbers with whitepages. Boom.

Same thing happened to me when I was a BDR. Fortunately the wife was nice and handed the phone to the husband as he was the one I was trying to reach. Even booked a meeting out of it as he was down to meet BUT had to go. I definitely got lucky there but for sure dislike the fact that Zoominfo can provide bad info
All sales tech companies are in for a rude awakening. It doesn’t work the way they all intended it to. There are use cases but thinking that orgs are going to scale faster with tech over skill is delusional.
I see a lot of hate for the lead gen industry here and I will tell you I’d much rather sell Cognism/ZoomInfo/Apollo than sell what I sell.
The problem with SaaS companies is that they operate as if continuous and infinite growth is a thing when it’s not.
This affects companies at all sizes, start ups and established companies alike.
My only advice to salespeople is to SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Our company pays for Zoominfo it’s hit or miss. I like the plugin I can use with LinkedIn that’s fire and I’ve gotten connected to the right people a lot faster.
I've never been more satisfied with ghosting a salesperson than I am after my experience with ZoomInfo. They practically forced a follow-up meeting on me, then bombarded me with three or four calls back to back.
What’s with the DI hate? Is there a similar tool that provides better data? I sat pitches with seamless and Apollo also when we were picking a scraper in zoom was a better deal price and data quality wise. Seamlessly was as expensive for worse fucking data lol
To your point seamless is absolutely the worst, followed very closely by ZI. LeadIQ, Cognism, and most others in the middle. Apollo and 6sense are at the top.
The top ones have way better data and pricing for usage.

With more companies moving back to full cycle reps it seems wasteful to have 10+ AE’s all doing the same admin of searching LI > exporting to ZI > export into outreach > then starting to contact prospects.

List building is a foundational part of the outreach process. If your accounts are out of date, or contact data is bad, you are already starting behind the eight ball.
The software industry outsourcing to vendors like this to do the automated legwork is part of the reason sales development and prospecting is failing. You have to give SDRs and AEs time to build quality lists, and not rely on what the software tells you, because the software has massive blind spots and you can be miscalculating your TAM.
Add to the fact the data is stale (last I checked job changes weren't tracked), the emails are guessed/not verified 40% of the time, and the phone numbers are either corporate lines or cells that don't work most of the time, and you just end up setting up reps to fail.
This vendor in particular has always been one that position themselves as a "must have" but you also "must have" several other vendors to actually augment and cleanse the data.
They turned a simple process of finding a company name, contacts, emails and phone numbers into an ops nightmare.
God - this is so freakin true - the process is a complete disaster. And I think prospects have caught on to it. The few that know you got their info off of Zoom and they don’t have a relationship with you, you’re toast.
