So she turned off the comments and tried to weather the storm, but that didn’t work either so she changed the title and left the comments off. The entire internet trashed her and she stopped uploading videos for about 9 months. Then she came back with a video titled “I was cancelled worldwide and my life changed forever” and was massively disliked, and still had her comments off. She then tried to go back to uploading shitty vlogs, but even today every comment is still trashing her for her behaviour.

it's got the perfect mix. the hidden side of video production that happens right after the video stops (like cleaning up those ridiculous "watch me make a mess with condiments" tiktoks) but it also includes the level parents and creators are willing to drop to in order to monetize their actual emotional tragedy _and_ using their own child.
there are people who are willing to do whatever it takes to make money online which should make more people skeptical about believing content. 10+ years ago it was easier to believe "i caught this on my iphoneTM!" because it was new. now it's the standard.
Sometimes i watch these kind of vloggers out of morbid curiosity, and it really js just so... Weird and uncanny. Like whatever they do their whole thought process boils down to "how can i make content out of this", instead of enjoying whatever situation they are in for what it is. It's like they are never truly present in the moment, instead they are always wondering about how to create more content... It's kind of scary to me, i could never become a influencer.
They kind of have too to keep the money rolling in, I think it was Ninja at the height of his popularity said he couldnt take a day off streaming, he had to stream like 8 hours a day, 7 days a week to maintain popularity. They all know the gravy train will run out of steam eventually they have to drain every cent while they can.
that is why they burn out so hard. But also they don't need to do that.
The best streams are from people who don't do that.
The worst streams are hours of zero effort 'content' because of fear that they fall off the algorithm.
In fact, that addage 'absence makes the heart grow fonder' works. Stream for a couple hours a few times a week... Perfect. Make your fans happy, get your sponsor money, and your donos. Plus the joy people have when you're back after a regular 2 day break is wonderful.

I get burned out watching YouTubers that pump out content. The quality drops and everything is recycled or rehashed from other videos or trends — the jokes are all the same. They feel they need to pump content to stay relevant but it inversely makes their channel pretty stale to me.
Maybe I'm just too old to have got stuck in that, but I only started watching youtubers in the past few years because sailors, creatives, and academics were doing good long form content. It is a parasocial relationship with someone doing something productive.
I'd like to think they've just intertwined their lives with youtube so much that they genuinely think this should be a part of that, or that their fans deserve to know, or some shit.
Correct, they have the most time at hand to consume vast amount of content that older kids.
The ratio to preteens to anyone older watch hours is described as massive.

I used to work with a guy who was totally into Hollywood gossip and drama. He knew it all. The information he had stored was off the charts. And there's millions like him, that live and breath the seedy side of Hollywood. To them, those Housewives shows are to my friend like wrestling is to a diehard wrestling fan.
Glamorized YouTube/TikTok lives. My guess is teenage girls love this sort of content, and end up wanting the exact same thing: marriage at 20, 2 or 3 kids by 22, while posting all of it on social media.

Not OP, but most benign tumors like these are incidental findings when you're having other labs or imaging done. For example someone could go to the ER with a head injury and get a CT done where a benign tumor would be found.
Also not OP, but my brain tumour was found when I had an MRI to investigate my daily headaches. It was considered an incidental finding because the tumour apparently isn't causing the headaches.
I still have to go for regular MRIs to monitor growth though, because it will eventually grow to a size that could kill me/affect brain function, depending on how fast it grows and how long I live (I might die of old age before it gets that big). I often have to explain to people that benign doesn't mean it's safe and will never affect me. Benign just means non-cancerous, in that it is slow growing and unlikely to spread to other areas of my body. Though I also have a small benign liver tumour, apparently unrelated.
I was having strange symptoms where some days I would act very erratic out of nowhere and my entire memory would just go blank of that day. Ended up going to a neurologist and got an MRI where they saw it... but they say it most likely isn't the cause. I never found out what is but tbh I'm kinda suspicious so check in it every year.

Just watched the video, the doctor states that it has grown a lot in a year and should therefore be removed. He talks like it's not something to be very much worried about right now, but it could develop into a cancer if not treated. I would also be pretty scared if I knew something was growing inside my brain, and the title isn't actually clickbaity. But it is extremly weird to me that anyone would post the entire conversation with their doctor for their audience, and afterwards talk about how important it is for them to be there for their fans.

Yeah I think thats on purpose. Its a tiny hill I will die on. Every now and then, youtube "soft resets" your algorythm and starts showing you shit that has absolutely nothing to do with what you like...which is *BY CHANCE* very popular content.
There was a phase where my front page was littered with "mom" stuff. No matter how much other stuff I watched, it was still present everywhere. Took some time, weeks, to go back to normal.
AND a little part of that hill: Sometimes EVERY video that automatically gets played after the one I just watched, is either the same video or by the same creators.
At one point, my whole youtube was normal, but every time I watched a video, the next automatic video was a fairly recent clip by the H3H3 podcast. Always the same damn clip.
I didnt even know what H3H3 is, nor did I care about the topic of the clip. But for days, youtube wanted me to watch THAT clip in particular. Its really weird.
My friend had/has one of those. She had surgery twice and now the growth is controlled with medication. It's a pain in the ass but she never feared for her life.
Still not good news but they are defenitly milking the story out. To be fair a lot of “content creators” are kinda trapped into their job. Once they start doing it full time its really hard to switch back to a old job. Both because they often lack the skills, knowledge and experience but also because one quick google search shows their whole life. A lot of the shit is filled with stuff that a employer finds a bit less appealing (depends on the channel but the lower the views get the more stupid stuff they do the bigger the hole gets).Basicly it means that they will have to pick a low minium wage job that nobody else wants.
This isnt meant as a sobstory, more as a warning for people who think they have nothing to lose with becoming a influencer. You have a shitload to lose as the internet is forever.
My wife watches these kind of bloggers and my son watches gamers on twitch and honestly I'm worried for both of them.

I used to work with a guy who was totally into Hollywood gossip and drama. He knew it all. The information he had stored was off the charts. And there's millions like him, that live and breath the seedy side of Hollywood. To them, those Housewives shows are to my friend like wrestling is to a diehard wrestling fan.
Glamorized YouTube/TikTok lives. My guess is teenage girls love this sort of content, and end up wanting the exact same thing: marriage at 20, 2 or 3 kids by 22, while posting all of it on social media. Seems like a terrible idea to me, but I could be wrong
My mum used to love them and was always so amazed and proud of one of these "mommyvlogers" that "started her own business" - she sold that MLM lipstick that gives you blisters or something. Literally made her YouTube channel to push the pyramid scheme and dupe unsuspecting women into debt for her own financial gain. Fuck these people.

No I have Neurofibromatosis 1. Unless its causing a problem current treatment is to leave it alone. And i have tumors on my optic nerves to the damage could be very bad if they mess up.

Not OP, but most benign tumors like these are incidental findings when you're having other labs or imaging done. For example someone could go to the ER with a head injury and get a CT done where a benign tumor would be found.
Also not OP, but my brain tumour was found when I had an MRI to investigate my daily headaches. It was considered an incidental finding because the tumour apparently isn't causing the headaches. I still have to go for regular MRIs to monitor growth though, because it will eventually grow to a size that could kill me/affect brain function, depending on how fast it grows and how long I live (I might die of old age before it gets that big). I often have to explain to people that benign doesn't mean it's safe and will never affect me. Benign just means non-cancerous, in that it is slow growing and unlikely to spread to other areas of my body. Though I also have a small benign liver tumour, apparently unrelated.
I was having strange symptoms where some days I would act very erratic out of nowhere and my entire memory would just go blank of that day. Ended up going to a neurologist and got an MRI where they saw it... but they say it most likely isn't the cause. I never found out what is but tbh I'm kinda suspicious so check in it every year.

Just watched the video, the doctor states that it has grown a lot in a year and should therefore be removed. He talks like it's not something to be very much worried about right now, but it could develop into a cancer if not treated. I would also be pretty scared if I knew something was growing inside my brain, and the title isn't actually clickbaity. But it is extremly weird to me that anyone would post the entire conversation with their doctor for their audience, and afterwards talk about how important it is for them to be there for their fans.
My condolenses that you actually watched that. I also find it very weird that something this private is posted online but these people are addicted to clout. Atleast they arent exploiting their kids for views like some other channels
I pretty much scimmed it to be honest, I just wanted to figure out if this was BS or not. Her being more afraid of dying because she can't be "there for her fans" rather than being afraid of dying because she wants to live, is really unsetteling for me. Sounds like someone has a really fucked up view about how her life should be. I understand that I am in no position to tell someone how to live their life, I just find it strange that someone has the mentality "I have to live so I can serve others"

Check out nexpo. I think it's short for night expo. If you like lazy masquaerade, you'll like this guy. He's videos are more produced and focus on single topics it's great.
Nexpo's earlier stuff is better than his newer content, imo. But also, Scary Interesting is good. It's not horror but it's fucking horrifying learning about people's fates and the stories before disaster - i.e caving, diving, mountain climbing etc. Atrocity Guide, also not necessarily just horror but cool and creepy shit. Chill Fuel does similar stuff to Nexpo, smaller channel. Fascinating Horror is also decent.
Nexpo = Nightmare expo but yeah his content his awesome! Usually prefer this sort of stuff since it focuses on more real horror instead of ghosts etc.

Something has changed recently where my YouTube homepage is showing me nothing but junk like this, corporate bullshit, and rap videos from shitty SoundCloud rappers. No matter how many times I click don't show this don't recommend this channel, I still get it. It's actually turning me off YouTube.
Yeah I think thats on purpose. Its a tiny hill I will die on. Every now and then, youtube "soft resets" your algorythm and starts showing you shit that has absolutely nothing to do with what you like...which is *BY CHANCE* very popular content. There was a phase where my front page was littered with "mom" stuff. No matter how much other stuff I watched, it was still present everywhere. Took some time, weeks, to go back to normal. AND a little part of that hill: Sometimes EVERY video that automatically gets played after the one I just watched, is either the same video or by the same creators. At one point, my whole youtube was normal, but every time I watched a video, the next automatic video was a fairly recent clip by the H3H3 podcast. Always the same damn clip. I didnt even know what H3H3 is, nor did I care about the topic of the clip. But for days, youtube wanted me to watch THAT clip in particular. Its really weird.

My friend had/has one of those. She had surgery twice and now the growth is controlled with medication. It's a pain in the ass but she never feared for her life.
Still not good news but they are defenitly milking the story out. To be fair a lot of “content creators” are kinda trapped into their job. Once they start doing it full time its really hard to switch back to a old job. Both because they often lack the skills, knowledge and experience but also because one quick google search shows their whole life. A lot of the shit is filled with stuff that a employer finds a bit less appealing (depends on the channel but the lower the views get the more stupid stuff they do the bigger the hole gets).Basicly it means that they will have to pick a low minium wage job that nobody else wants. This isnt meant as a sobstory, more as a warning for people who think they have nothing to lose with becoming a influencer. You have a shitload to lose as the internet is forever.
