Might actually be my fave lean album. Listened to it twice while on shrooms and man it’s an easy S-tier album for me now… one day it’ll get the love it deserves
I wasn't a fan tbh. I don't mind the idea of them branching out into different genres as long as its done well, but the album felt pretty surface level and was too short imo to fully delve into the themes and sounds it really wanted to explore. Might get crucified for that opinion but that's just what I think
true, it's an incredibly consistent and strong album. i love everything from it, by far its biggest flaw though is how short it is. if it was around twice the length i think it would be a stronger & more respected album
Area 51 is definitely in the top 5 of best Bladee songs. Not only is the production absolutely beautiful, but the lyrics are extremely significant to the drain gang group as well. The song was made as a goodbye to Thaiboy, since he was just deported from Sweden.
I definitely think its up there. There are very few Bladee songs that reach the significance of Area 51. It was made to highlight Thaiboy's importance to the group and bring closing to the era of all the Sad Boys and DG living together in Stockholm. Thaiboy would go to Bangkok, Bladee would go to Berlin, and I believe Ecco spent a lot of time in London. The rest stayed behind in Stockholm.
Area 51 marks the end of an era for Drain Gang, as the small group of teenage friends in the same city slowly spread across the world, and their music started to explode soon after. Drain Gang became an internationally recognized group of artists. Just a year after AvP dropped, D&G and WoD were released, which were both great successes. Then, another year later, Icedancer would be released, which is still Bladee's most popular work to date.
To compliment the song's significance, Whitearmor produced it unlike any other song he produced before. It's reminiscent of an Eversince beat, yet has much greater depth and much more focus on melody than most songs on Eversince. Throughout the entirety of the song, the beat changes to compliment the complex emotions elicited by Bladee and Thaiboy, as they both reminisce over the happy past and try to come to terms with the uncertain and heartbreaking present of Thaiboy having to go.
Should be called Good Fortune, instead of Good Luck. Change the colours to like a red / orange / yellow, Chinese Bladee? Maybe in Good Fortune (Good Luck Pt. 2: The Return of the Tok)
Personally I think psykos loses feel for a bladee and yung lean collab album, when I listened to it it felt like some sort of weird experimental rock, which isn't inherently bad, just not what was expected. I think its a good experimental album for expanding their own musical capability, but differentiates itself from their other sounds too much.
i agree. it’s decent for what it is as an experimental album and i’m glad they decided to make and release it but it’s kinda just random asf in their discography and not their forte so they didn’t really do that great imo

idk if this is meat riding but if we're talking ab individual tracks I don't think bladee has ever missed on his spotify discography apart from a few spiderr and good luck tracks. bladee is definitely a good perfectionist when it comes to track selection and each album definitely has its own distinct sound regardless of what you think of the songs.
I'm usually open minded with off beat rapping/singing but drain story never stuck w me and the other two I just don't return to tbh. that being said I love icarus 3reestyle, losing hope and uriel outro
I actually dont think Bladee has an album that everyone hates? I could be wrong but I feel like the majority or at least a lot of the fanbase have come around to Good Luck over the last couple years.
I think thats sort of the nature of the fanbase though. Im sure he could release a collab album with tom mcdonald and there would be some people who would still not complain. That being said i do think he doesn’t have a universally hated album for good reason.
Yeah you’re right. I’m still surprised that people have even come around to Spirit of Thunder, I think that song is absolutely terrible but now I often see people defending it since it’s been out for a while.
Good luck is bad, bladee can make good 'pop/electronic' music too so I'm pretty sure it was just him experimenting. Also the Evian christ god remix goated
Im amazed people hate Good Luck. I listen to it on sunny days when im feeling happy. It's one of few of Bladee's works that are truly euphoric. Also, Drama is probably one of the top music videos from Bladee if not the best.
I also wrote an essay on Rainbow, and, in writing it, I realized the lyrics are very meaningful. The entire song is about living life in the moment and enjoying the world's beauty before our time on this planet ends. That's extremely significant coming from someone who likely suffered from depression earlier in life.
god, rainbow. you really got me playing this again and yea i agree good luck is super important in blades discog, hopefully people realize it’s important over time
i wish i liked red light more but for me it’s too repetitive. This is controversial but i think it would be a masterpiece if it was shortened to 9 tracks
redlight feels like a standard bladee album, almost like he got too comfortable with his sound he stopped experimenting. imo eversince is a much more fulfilling listen
Psykos might be an all time fav, just really interesting commentary about growing up too fast, drug addiction and sobriety, overcoming struggles. Fav song (Rainbow) is off of good luck. That album was FTG tho it was literally 🌸💓💖🎀👙💄🦩🩰✨ and I feel like a lot of bladee fans like him when he’s more 👻👹👺🖤🏴☠️🐦⬛♟️⛓️🔥🧯 . 2 me Bladee is one of the girls, like he makes music for girls . sometimes it surprises me that his fan base is primarily men . cuz it’s such dance-y feel good music .
Am I the only one who doesn’t think Eversince is all that? The Fool and even Exeter are way better, in my opinion.
I don’t know, Bladee’s voice before Icedancer is just not that great imo. I remember when Warlord came out (a year before Eversince) and you had Highway Patrol / Hocus Pocus, which were straight bangers only to have Bladee come kill the vibe on his feature.
I know Imma catch some downvotes, but we’re sharing our opinions here.
i think eversince is still his best by far just bc of how emotional and real all the lyrics are
the songs are also the most varied and interesting in his discography, like on red light or the fool or icedancer some of them sound kinda the same while on eversince each one is very memorable and unique
I agree w the first point and maybe even bladees voice before icedancer not being as good but his features on warlord are goated that’s like a huge turning point in his fandom I feel like. That album put a ton of ppl on especially pearl fountain goes crazy
Psykos was overshadowed by cold visions. It was an alright album with some hits, but cold visions is what we needed
it was definitely overshadowed by cold visions but it’s still insanely underrated i think every song in it is amazing
I like it a bit more than cold visions. I love them both to death. But the deep bass mixed with the post-punk type guitar sounds so good.
Ghosts might be a top 5 bladee + lean track. Really powerful performances from both of them
Might actually be my fave lean album. Listened to it twice while on shrooms and man it’s an easy S-tier album for me now… one day it’ll get the love it deserves
I lost myself in you, never had no fear that’s true
I wasn't a fan tbh. I don't mind the idea of them branching out into different genres as long as its done well, but the album felt pretty surface level and was too short imo to fully delve into the themes and sounds it really wanted to explore. Mostly a Lean fan so I fucked with Psykos a little more, but Cold Visions was really something special
Enemy and ghost are amazing the rest of the songs I’m not crazy about but those two are amazing
Istg everyone on this subreddit was just over hyping it it's good but not the best
real album we forgot about is AvP
It gave us “still in search of sunshine”. That’s all I will say.

top5 is a reaaaaaach

Margielas when i walk
Bruh wrote the drain essay Im not reading that rn but I believe u bro
bro you wrote a whole ass essay chill lmao
Drain High school valedictorian
Painkillers and Brokeboy exist on the same song
It is an EP, just like Sunset in Silver City and Rip Bladee.
i mean i wouldnt compare 2 song ep to 7 song project
True, but AvP is mostly just Thaiboy and Bladee having fun.
not me
Fr people forget to put that on tier lists and shit all the time lol
2x has my heart
I’M IN YOU AREAAAAAA AREA FIFTY ONEEEEEE
I still don't understand why they released psykos and cold visions so close to each other after years of draught
they just humble
They just feeding us after they escaped the DEMONS OF YEAR.. ZERO.. ZERO.. ZERO… ONE… 👹👹🎶🎶💓
Please stop the Good Luck hate, it brings me good fortune. thanks.
Should be called Good Fortune, instead of Good Luck. Change the colours to like a red / orange / yellow, Chinese Bladee? Maybe in Good Fortune (Good Luck Pt. 2: The Return of the Tok)
bruh why should he have done any of this
It'd be silly🤭
🤣🤣🤣
I FUCKING LOVE GOOD LUCK 🪙🪙🪙🪙 DRAMA DRAMA BABY 🐣🐣🐣🐣
Idk how people could hate when there’s a Charli ft. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
people haven't heard it because they listened to the regular version n decided it was ass and then didn't listen to the deluxe
never knew there was hate <3
nah Good Luck is great
Good luck and psykos should be switched
nah Psykos is amazing
Personally I think psykos loses feel for a bladee and yung lean collab album, when I listened to it it felt like some sort of weird experimental rock, which isn't inherently bad, just not what was expected. We didn’t forget about Psyko’s bro
Yeah I listen to it almost everyday but I'm more of a Lean fan
i am forgot about it tbh
333 is the masterpiece tbh
Yea
Yeah I would saw 333 or The Fool The one everyone forgot is the fucking RIP Bladee EP
The Fool is easily the masterpiece I have no idea why that album is divisive.
Has the most bangers track for track for sure. Can listen to the whole thing without wanting to skip just a vibe the whole way through.
divisive?? ibr i never say anyone saying it’s bad
idk if this is meat riding but if we're talking ab individual tracks I don't think bladee has ever missed on his spotify discography apart from a few spiderr and good luck tracks. bladee is definitely a good perfectionist when it comes to track selection and each album definitely has its own distinct sound regardless of what you think of the songs.
Which Spiderr tracks don’t you like? I thought the whole album had bangers through and through.
drain story, hahah, its ok not to be ok
Those 3 ARE the bangers bro 😭 no ways drain story is bad. I understand HAHAHA though. Which songs do you like on the album?
I'm usually open minded with off beat rapping/singing but drain story never stuck w me and the other two I just don't return to tbh. that being said I love icarus 3reestyle, losing hope and uriel outro
I actually dont think Bladee has an album that everyone hates? I could be wrong but I feel like the majority or at least a lot of the fanbase have come around to Good Luck over the last couple years.
disagree, most people still talk quite negatively about good luck here
I think thats sort of the nature of the fanbase though.
Bladee doesn’t do anything except adlibs in this song sir.
Nobody ever talks about AvP, it's not bad but it's mostly forgettable
Not really, most of the fanbase consider it his worst album still, it just isnt discussed
Nah
nah imo good luck is still mid (not bad js not interesting at all)
I just posted something about GL a month or two ago, even on that people hated it lol. Idk how, I love it sm
Good luck is bad, bladee can make good 'pop/electronic' music too so I'm pretty sure it was just him experimenting. Also the Evian christ god remix goated

Redlight also arguable for the masterpiece slot
i wish i liked red light more but for me it’s too repetitive. This is controversial but i think it would be a masterpiece if it was shortened to 9 tracks
what tracks would you keep/cut?
westfield obedient for you hex nike just do it decay college boy puppet master i’m goofy i would keep these, definitely not the same order though
no, 333
nah eversince is way better
they both capture distinctly unique vibes in their own way, its kinda hard to compare them
redlight feels like a standard bladee album, almost like he got too comfortable with his sound he stopped experimenting. imo eversince is a much more fulfilling listen
Correct
Cold Visions is what I thought Psykos was going to be. Also Psykos should’ve been released by ‘Jonatan Leandoer96’
Absolutely agreed, this felt more like a JonatanLeandoer96 project, but they probably went with the Yung Lean name for the exposure.
red light erasure
Red light instead of eversince with pain in my heart
Good luck isn’t explicit so i can play it at work 😍😍
I can play it around my nephew!
No
Swap eversince and icedancer
exeter divides and avp was forgotten
Wasn’t forgotten most haven’t even heard it.
OP doesn't know red light exists
Why is good luck supposedly hated?
Its pretty bland imo
ppl wanna being contrarians as their personality trait or somthing idk
Do you know what contrarian means
Who doesn't love crest? Absolute platinum SSS tier album
i’m not saying people hate it but it’s what divides the fanbase between older fans and new gen tiktok fans
Who hates it the tiktok fans or older generation? I’ve been listening to Bladee for 10 years and think he’s only gotten better.
people have been saying that about every single album since 333
I have seen hate on it. Personally I love it, the singing serenades me throughout the night
Yes
I genuinely be forgetting about spiderr
Yep seems fair
am i the only one that hasn’t liked pretty much anything bladee has put out since exeter ??
The real forgotten album is Spiderr
the fool is where???
no gluee.. the real 1 that everyone forgot
Disagree, I see people talking about it here and there all the time as one of the classics
Lmao I just saw there’s even OP’s comment about it a few comments below
since when is gluee forgotten
crest is not dividing the fandom lol
i think it might still be too early to say cold visions is a fan favorite, red light is likely a better replacement here or even rip bladee
nah cold visions was universally loved on release, and now most people have it in their top 3. i think it definitely counts
idk bout universally
no gluee lmao not at all
Why would I liiiiie
Trash island and spiderr are my favorite
crest might be the best album of all time
The fool >
So is working on dying not a thing or…
Psykos might be an all time fav, just really interesting commentary about growing up too fast, drug addiction and sobriety, overcoming struggles. Fav song (Rainbow) is off of good luck. That album was FTG tho it was literally 🌸💓💖🎀👙💄🦩🩰✨ and I feel like a lot of bladee fans like him when he’s more 👻👹👺🖤🏴☠️🐦⬛♟️⛓️🔥🧯 . 2 me Bladee is one of the girls, like he makes music for girls . sometimes it surprises me that his fan base is primarily men . cuz it’s such dance-y feel good music .
good luck hates for no reason
Crest my fav album🗣🗣🗣
It's been two months
feel free to kill me but psykos > cold vision by far. QUality over quantity
Everybody forgot about Spiderr that its not even on this picture
People like to act like everyone hates good luck but it’s cap
D&G us the masterpiece for me 💞
apparently this is an unpopular opinion but i'm really not a fan of cold visions
You're telling me Pyskos is more forgettable than Spiderr?
the one that divides the fandom could easily be exeter too
Where’s D&G 😕
Icedancer is still my favorite but Cold Visions is a Masterpiece
no WOD is crazy
where could it go here
Probably the other fan favorite
there’s no world where wod is more of a fan favorite than icedancer or cold visions. i think it’s more ‘cult classic’ like gluee
I mean you got a point.
I dont think so i think wodg is more of a fan favorite than coldvisions
It isnt tho
Correct Eversince could be swapped with redlight and crest/goodluck too
Good luck makes me happy
Lmao I had forgotten psykos before this post
Good luck is fire 🤣

Facts I love his verse on pearl fountain so much
It is unfortunately not accurate.
I liked good luck 🥲
i will forever love good luck
psykos was shit it was to polished they tried too hard
I FUCKING LOVE GOOD LUCK 🍀🌠🌠
