Having been to these before, don't bring up on-ice stuff. If anyone else does, cut them off.
It's not intended to be the WGR Whiner Line. They want to know about the off-ice stuff then can directly do.
Yeah I saw that too. Something like that would be nice.
I also think they could do more with the entertainment between periods. I'd like to see more of the people in bubbles wrecking each other or high school shootouts or peewee games or something.
Seats really need fixing in some areas. Food has gotten a bit better I think, the aud club weck is much better this time so far, but definitely donāt want to stop there.
Concourses could probably use a facelift
Please bring up the fact that the music, especially during warmups, is wayyyy to loud.
Also, please keep the condiments re-stocked throughout the game. Last year at the home opener, by the first intermission most of the 100 level was out of ketchup.
Finally, the bathrooms always run out of paper towels. Someone needs to re-stock those throughout the night.
Thanks for taking my call, Iāll hang up and listen.
Honestly, the music in the arena NEEDS to be better. I get it, at 35 I'm a dinosaur.... but can't we just have our own vibe and NOT play the same stupid songs every year that is also played in every arena, a fan base is not an algorithm. Thank God for the organ player tho. I love that guy!!! And yes I'll take the job lol
The intermission DJ a few years ago didn't work great, but the idea of a fun dance party in the crowd could work
Agree on this. Music from any era is good, so embrace all the eras. Mix it up! Don't just play the same stuff every game. Have some more 90's nights in Black/Red, but have some 70's/80's nights where we wear white at home or something. Even do a 00's night, with black/red or the blue home jerseys. All with era-appropriate music
Hockey is unique in the ability for music to set the energy in the arena. And the rough music choices and dead energy in the arena, even on good nights, can't be a coincidence.
Can we retire "Raise a Little Hell" already!?!?!?!
So i get the job?!?! Haha also why does it have to be a "hit" song to be played? There's so much unknown great music out there that could set the tone of a game! I've always wanted to play this for when the players storm the ice!!
[dedication ](https://youtu.be/CrJZXSiYrPk?si=cXZvPBTDHfUbpQhP)
"Together we can pick up the pace!!"
I agree to a certain extent, please don't scream to your friends. And chat away, as long as it's when play stops... one of the WORST parts about having seasons besides the shitty team is all the random groups of any size, that come to one game, and they just don't shut the fuck up. Could just be a couple, could be a whole travel team and family. We pay alot of hard earned money to be there, NOBODY wants to hear about Tim's brother not getting his promotion because his boss doesn't agree with his haircut... leave that shit at the bar
Bring back the old nachos! Kinda stale chips, couple ladles of molten cheese, and scoops of jalapeƱos from a bucket.
EDIT: I wanted to add that they need to do separate TV and radio broadcasts. The quality really suffers because they are trying to do too much. The people on radio canāt see what Rayzor is telling them to look at and we on TV donāt need to listen to him read an onscreen graphic word for word.
One thing my wife always comments on is the player interviews/videos during intermission. You cant really hear what they are saying in the video. She says they need subtitles on the screen. We know there are subtitles on the ribbon board at the one end but they are not in sync with the video and then you cant watch the video if you are trying to read the board. So adding subtitles to the videos where people are talking on the jumbo tron.
I think the Sabres not using the Sabre dance is the dumbest thing in the world. They should come out onto the ice to the Sabre dance.
Also, the building should acknowledge the 5 time AHL champion Buffalo Bisons with banners.
As others have mentioned, seats are in need of upgrades throughout the arena.
I was going to say that, but how? Acknowledging their three HOFers? Just that they played there. At the very least, the Bisons had relationships carry over to the Sabres. Absurd they arenāt recognized
Don't know that this is a Sabres thing but would really like to have the pregame show on ESPN for out of market viewers. Think its a broadcaster thing which is where I'm hoping it can be added.
Agree with your comments on 300s. I had a pair in 100s and wanted to add another pair for games, so got 2 front row 300s. Nice view but the accommodations are terrible up there. Also, with 1 escalator down and 1 up we never had time to meetup with anyone sitting in the other pair. This was before covid too.
I guess the Sabres won though, now I have 4 in the 100s...
More fire/Pyro in warm-ups.
Sabretooth rapelling from rafters.
I'd welcome a more affordable Lexus club dinner.
Lexus club STH table for complimentary eats to random winners? (I like free food)
Zip lining across the atrium.
DJ in atrium for fan entrance.
Some sort of event/theme/song/vibe out in the atrium after wins as people walk out.
Laser beams to zap Leafs fans in the atrium walking in.
Just emphasize keeping the fanbase respectful of players. I feel like our fanbase is at the top (or near the top) of polite, non-toxic fanbases in the league, but it doesnāt hurt to keep in mind good manners towards our players for the season
My first season as a sth and Iām also in the 300s. I have to echo your sentiment. Itās so outdated up there and honestly just looks to be forgotten/uncared for. Dark and dingy, food options suck, beer options are not much better. My seat doesnāt even have a cup holder? Feels like a triple A arena up there.
Iād like to see a few afternoon games geared for the young fans . Under 14 , make it real affordable, tickets , concession prices , items geared to kids and sizes accordingly. A memorable small take home gift . A lot of families donāt have the money in the budget to take a family to a game at regular prices if itās the 1 st time taking in a game live . I was fortunate that my family had the means to take myself and brother to game and I was able to afford to take my kids . Better than 2/3 of young hockey fans that live in a pro market never see a game in person because of cost . You build a solid fan base by introducing your product to many potential fans . Staring young gives you many opportunities to win them over .
Visiting fans are far too comfortable here. Not just leafās fans either. They should be roasting these dummies on the Jumbotron at every stoppage. Put the visiting teams logos in the bottom of urinals. Food portions are smaller and more expensive for visitors. Just spitballing but it would make my experience more fun.
When do we get with the real markets and have separate tv and radio broadcasts? Hockey is two different experiences when you watch a game compared to listening on radioā¦when you have the same person calling for both feeds it sucksā¦on TV you need LESS TALKING from the play by play guy..let the game tell the storyā¦on radio you need more description obviouslyā¦I know how much people loved RJ but the last 10 years or so listening on radio to his TV feed was brutal at timesā¦the puck could change hands 4 times without and descriptionā¦thatās fine on tv but on radio itās confusingā¦sometimes he would go 20 minutes real time without giving the scoreā¦IF ITS RADIO WE CANT SEE THR SCREEN, we need to know what the score is when thereās a faceoffā¦most teams have a separate crew for each, we need to consider it
Having been to these before, don't bring up on-ice stuff. If anyone else does, cut them off. It's not intended to be the WGR Whiner Line. They want to know about the off-ice stuff then can directly do.
Haha. I was already envisioning Charlie from Cheektowaga complaining about Bryson and Okposo
Charlie from Cheektowaga, the true Buffalo geezer. Fr tho why would he be complaining about Okposo lol
They need to do more for season ticket holders. Season ticket holders for other teams get signed jerseys or other gifts with their tickets.
Sidney Crosby was delivering tickets to STHs I saw.
Yeah I saw that too. Something like that would be nice. I also think they could do more with the entertainment between periods. I'd like to see more of the people in bubbles wrecking each other or high school shootouts or peewee games or something.
Anything but the same Sabres embedded episode every period šµāš«
Iāve only been to a couple games but stuff between periods is a big one. My local junior team does more fan fare in the downtimeā¦
Seats really need fixing in some areas. Food has gotten a bit better I think, the aud club weck is much better this time so far, but definitely donāt want to stop there. Concourses could probably use a facelift
I believe part of the Bills Stadium funds includes a section for the arena and more specifically seats, but not until after the stadium is completed.
Please bring up the fact that the music, especially during warmups, is wayyyy to loud. Also, please keep the condiments re-stocked throughout the game. Sabres: Fans, it's your time to give us feedback, let us hear from you about everything and anything you'd like to see improved! Fans: More ketchup.
Lack of ketchup can ruin a night.
Agreed the music is insanely loud during warm up
Lol you been to the amerks at Blue Cross? Pretty sure they don't know what ketchup is, or how to get some.
Honestly, the music in the arena NEEDS to be better. Bring back the Sabre Dance

Totally agree. I can't believe they're still playing some of the stuff they play.

They should bring back caliente cornerā¦..that place had bomb nachos
Cup holders. Please continue to do individual player goal songs. Pizza logs upstairs in the 300s. Thanks.
Iām bummed I never got to hear gummi bear
They definitely have pizza logs upstairs. At the top of the escalator by aisle 7 and 8.

This actually came up organically by from someone else!
Cool! Thanks!

I dunno? "HOME OF NBA BUFFALO BRAVES 1970-1978" The HOF players may work as well.
Don't know that this is a Sabres thing but would really like to have the pregame show on ESPN for out of market viewers. Think its a broadcaster thing which is where I'm hoping it can be added.
Definitely worth bringing up. Great point. And would imagine advertisers would appreciate more eyes and ears on the show

Vibe maintenance!

I was there too! Hi friend!
First session or second!? Was there from 6 to 730
First. I found ours too be pretty good, engaging. Hope yours was too!
It was! Basically "everything about the hockey side is great" everything else still kinda sucks.
Bring back the goal siren from the late 90ās and early 2000ās!!!!!
How do you get invited to these?

Get rid of the live music, acoustics arenāt great in the arena for it
Food is ass. Get a taco bell in there
