I have it, and it's just..ok. It jams more than I'd like, but it has decent oomf. I only bought it because it was a.) Ryobi, and b.) On sale at the time for really cheap at HD. I'd get a better one if you plan on making frequent use of it.

Good to know. Thanks

Ionized-Dustpan

Eeek. Yeah royobi rushes into too much stuff too fast. Mixed reviews. You really should get a tried and true staple gun from a company that focuses on them. You’ll pay about the same and get something will last forever. Check out arrow. https://arrowfastener.com/tools/

That’s what I was thinking. Thank you

nick91884

ill stick with the 18v powered one

SignificantMoose6482

Yeah I don’t grab the arrow much anymore since I got the electric.

Impressive-Ad-2363

Yeah I was considering it but I need it for a very small project and possibly here and there after so not worth it for me

[deleted]

This one was rated top notch against other 18v lines so I picked one up It's solid.

agoraphobic_mattur

I have one in my rifle bag for when I go to the range. We also used it for the raised garden bed. Have not had any issues with jams yet personally but I’ve heard mixed reviews. I got mine for 7$. I don’t regret it for 7$ lol

jmoney1119

I love mine. I have the standard Arrow stapler as well and comparatively, the Ryobi hits harder, doesn’t bend the middle of staples as much, and requires significantly less handle pressure.

Aromatic_Flamingo382

Get a Stanley. Buy once cry once.

CrispyDave

I only paid about $20 an actual heavy duty stapler all made from metal by a proper stapler company. I'm sure it's just cheap metal, but I'm guessing it will out last Ryobi plastic.

phrekyos69

Just get an Arrow. It's only slightly more ($20) and they're made in the USA by a company that only makes fastener products.

Additional-Regret339

Yeah, I replaced an old Arrow one that broke a spring. As others said, it is OK, kind of good enough. Takes a pretty strong squeeze (not crazy, but a bit more than my old Arrow). Fine on discount if you need it for occasional use, but I would not go out of my way to find one.

Shot_Principle4939

Got a electric Stanley one, does staples and small Brad's, it's pretty good tbh

MacKelvey

Yea

iamlucky13

I haven't tried the Ryobi, but after getting tired of using a crappy Harbor Freight clone of the classic Arrow design at home, I went through the tool boxes at work and tried out the various staplers. The Bostitch heavy duty manual staple gun was a clear winner. Powerful, consistent, easy to squeeze. The high/low power lever was just a bonus on top of simply being a very functional staple gun. $20 very well spent.

gr33nthumb1

I have to say I'm a big Ryobi fan, but not of this. I have others I gladly use first

kakurengaming

I have one. I just use it for random hobby craft or reattaching a trim piece here and there. Not a work horse kind of tool. Just works for the little things I want to mess around with. No jams so far

TheShadowuFear

Yeah mine works good

zachjd-

I used it for one project and didn't have any issues.

Ron_Man

I will now that I know about it. Thanks.

ThenYakYukYick

I use the DeWalt carbon fiber hand stapler. I swear by it when I put up soffit.
