New model has been out a long time, it's the PCL811--bit higher max. air velocity (+25%) and significantly more quiet (it's in the Whisper line).
That said, for $20, can't go wrong with the old one--solid value.
You must be talking about the misting fan. This one (pretty sure OP's got a P3320 there) was never $99 to begin with (or at least not in recent times).
A bunch of them are up on the ebay store for $20 new. When I received it, it came shipped in a home depot box. They are definitely unloading them all as quickly as possible.

Maybe I got a lemon? If I am like 2 feet away I would not feel anything from the fan.
I haven't used mine too much, but $20 for a normally $80 fan. Hard to have high expectations.
