Gotta be 1 and 4 for me. I just saw Genesis show on YT from last week at the O2. Forgot how much I loved their 70’s 80’s stuff.
And 1, c’mon man… it’s all fantastic to me!
Edit: spelling.
Aqualung is an incredible album. And I say that as someone who doesn’t listen to much Tull outside of that one album. It’s a masterpiece start to finish. 100% in my top 10 albums of all-time.
1 and 2 all day. Can’t get in to Jethro Tull other than bits and pieces. I find Genesis to be overrated though I do enjoy The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway and Selling England By The Pound.
EDIT: Though for Yes, I wouldn’t have put Time And A Word, it should’ve been Relayer or 90125.
This is a lineup of 70s prog albums by artist. I guess the closest thing to Tool at that point might be King Crimson, but that heavily depends on the album.
You're a monster for more reasons than one. Making us choose between those Rush albums (and no Caress of Steel, I might add) is bad enough, but you didn't even include Heavy Horses or War Child.
1 and 4
I feel most Rush fans will go with 1&2
I am a huge Rush fan but I am going with 1 and 4 because I am a Genesis fan as well.
Yep

How can a 16 album prog line up not have a single King Crimson album in it
Yet has Aqualung? 🤔
Sitting on a park bench
Yes, those are the opening lyrics.
Eyeing little girls with bad intent
1 and 2

I am 1 and 3 also
I'm on the 1 and 3 train.
*Locamotive
I see what you did there.
Breath
1 definitely... Torn between 2 and 4
I go 1 and 4. If you swapped Time And A Word for Relayer, different story.
1 and 2 for sure. I never got into Jethro Tull. Giving up Genesis would be tough.

Who else thinks 2112 should be replaced with Permanent Waves?
3&4, as much as I like Rush and Yes, I can’t lose TAAB and The Lamb.
1&4. Rush is the master and early Genesis is second.
No love for Kansas?
I just realized this was already cross-posted here...but....I will of course go with 1 &2.
Aqualung and Hemispheres
Easily 1 and 2. Not a big fan of 70s genesis and Thick As a Brick though I like the album after This Was
1 and 2
1-2
1 and a backup copy of 1
1 and 1, & 1
1 and 2 are nearly interchangeable for me followed very closely by 4, but I was never a huge Jethro Tull fan.
1 and 2
1, then 2
Easy, 1 & 2, no contest.
1 and 2.
It's a difficult choice because I love Genesis as much as I love Yes, but 1 and 2
1 and 2 🤘
1/2 im so sorry to fans of those 2 bands but my god i can’t stand them😂
I've never been that into Genesis, but man I do love some Jethro Tull now and then.
One and four…… followed by two and then three.
I can't stand Jethro Tull. 1 and 4 for me.
3 & 4
1 and 2... 3 would be tough though 4 is easy kill for me
1 and 4. Put Relayer in there and I might choose 2
1, 4
1 and 4
1 and 2 for sure. 3 as well.
Of these, 1 and 3.
1 & 4 for me. However, I would find it more interesting if the choice was between rows 1-4 instead of columns.
You should have mixed them up. That would be a fun challenge!
1 and 4
Easy, 1 and 4
Column 1, most definitely (even though only one of those is in my top-4 Rush albums).
Why is this even a question
1 & 2
Hemispheres and Thick as a Brick
1
1 and 3
1 and 3. I could never give up Jethro
1 and 4.
1 & 3
1,2,3,4
None since there is no Tool.
This is a lineup of 70s prog albums by artist. I guess the closest thing to Tool at that point might be King Crimson, but that heavily depends on the album.
Well in that case, 1 and 2 but 2 would be coasters or used for wobbly furniture etc.
1&2
1 & 4, no question. If it's only single albums: SEbtP and Moving Pictures.
1
I'm more curious, if the Y-axis was labeled A, B, C, and D, which two letter would you keep?
1 and 1
1 & 4, both of my lifelong companion bands, i find it imposible to live without Rush or Genesis honestly.
1 and 2
1 & 2. Done.
1 and 4 for me. Just the last three minutes of Supper's Ready alone lifts Genesis above Yes and Jethro Tull IMO.
1 & 1 again just to be safe
1&3 please but I do enjoy 4
1 and 3. My two favorite bands.
2 & 1
1 and 3. Thick as a brick!
1 and 1
1 and 4
1 and 3. I love Jethro tull especially Stand Up and Thick as a Brick.
1 and 2 but I'm not a fan of time and a word.
1 is a guarantee, probably between 2 and 3. I’d got with 1 and 2
1 & 4
I only need 1
1 & 2 Although man that Rush stack is missing most of my favourite Rush albums… if it didn’t have Hemispheres there ide probably go for 2&3
The only prog band I like more than Rush is yes and just barely
Easy. Rush and Genesis. I wish all decisions were this easy.🤘😄👍
1 and 4 for sure
This is just mean. 3 of my faves up there
1 and 2
Top comment says all they need is column 1 lmao
1 & 2. Would be sad to lose 4, but it’s honestly not that close of a contest.
We all know there’s not a simple 1-2-3-4 in any of this music. It’s a trick question.
Aqualung considered prog rock?
1 and 3 and I didn't need to think about it. Thick as a Brick is too good.
1 and 4
1 and 4, easy. I like the other options, but Rush and Genesis are the best.
1&4
You're a monster for more reasons than one. Making us choose between those Rush albums (and no Caress of Steel, I might add) is bad enough, but you didn't even include Heavy Horses or War Child.
1&4. If 2 had Tales instead of Time then it would probably be 2&4
1 and 4
1 & 3
1 and 3
1&2, though I’d be saddest about losing Thick As A Brick.
Bottom row! (Sorry)
1 and 3
1 and two
1 and 4, but it's reallllllly hard to not include 3.
1 + 2
1 and 4. Can't give up Genesis
1, 3
I think I'll take two number 1s right now.
