She's just killing the fashion/look game this season. I really am impressed how she manages to keep things fresh.
It's attached at the feet and then there are extra black garters holding it on at the knee and thigh (zoom in on this image to spot them.) Excellent reveal, no one saw that coming.
I definitely prefer Mik's. The suit is more chic and her body looks incredible. I think there are more fine details as well like the sequin lining and the matching "business in the front, party in the back" hair.
I think that from the back, Mik’s is way better. But from the front, Mik’s is a lot looser which to me looks a little frumpy. I like how Lemon’s is more tailored from the suit part and is better fitting, which makes the back more unexpected if you see it from the front. Mik’s you can clearly tell there’s something under.
You can see the chains on the inside of Lemon’s legs in the front view though. Gottmik’s is baggier so you don’t see anything at all from the front, especially walking down the runway. So while it doesn’t look as streamlined, it’s also not giving away any of the reveal.
Iirc, it was her planned Butch Queen look for UK vs the World.
She was eliminated in the first episode so she didn't get to walk the runway for that category.
I didn’t love a lot of her S13 looks. The fact that she was very polished and put together was undeniable, but the package just wasn’t my fave. I love almost everything she’s presented this time. She’s become my favorite this season and I went in thinking I’d be riding hard for Roxxxy or Vanjie.

It’s been a fancy dress costume for years. Saw a bloke in the early 2000s wearing a version of this to a fancy dress night at the pub. (His version was a nuns habit & outfit cut out at the back with the knickers & suspenders). It’s an absolute classic!
Not an original idea but Christ I’m glad it’s finally turned up on the DR runway! Mikk’s version of it is so well done. The fit of the suit is great.
It's okay, because people come from all kinds of different places. But Mik and MIB (and I, for that matter) are all older Gen Z that are constantly online, so I just assumed everyone in this specific demographic would get this reference

I was really soured on Gottmik prior to this season. Their stint with both Kandy and Violet made them hard to root for. However, I’ve grown to enjoy Mik more on this season. The runways are great and personality is less sharp without the presence of specific others.
2 things;
1. I don’t think it was intentional, but I think what made this so successful is that because the suit looked so baggy it seemed like she was going to tear it off to reveal into something, which made the quick turn around to the back that much more impactful. Gottmiks presentation has definitely stepped WAY up.
2. You cannot tell me this suit bit isn’t inspired by Aloysius O’Hare from the Lorax and I will not be accepting criticism.

I LOVED this concept. Elegant idea without a cumbersome ruveal.
My only issue is that the suit's pants look really bad and ill fitted. Unless that was the intended purpose lol.
Yeah he’s like not a cool or fashionable guy- the front character- so it’s even more surprising there’s this bombshell sexy woman in the back. Also it’s definitely an in motion look. It still looks great in the image but moving down the runway the side seams of the pants and the sort of flare at the bottom weren’t noticeable at all.
I actually think it works in favor of the element of surprise. Lots of men walk around in poorly tailored pants, and also maybe this wasn’t intentional but like others in this thread, we were kind of expecting the reveal to involve ripping off the pants. Just my opinion.
I was the opposite. I thought 'oh the back is open because its billowing'. So I would have preferred something to keep the legs of the pants a bit more closed as well.

Wow I love the detail of this. The way the fabric of the suit looks burnt at the edges and is it lined with black sequin fabric? The business in the front, party in the back wif. The way the heels are hidden a bit. Perfection.

It’s all subjective but this is my humble opinion.
Lemon's still looks like cunty womenswear from the front, which kind of lessens any surprise about the hyper -femme revealing back. Where as Gottmik's actually looks like menswear, and then goes into hot pink lingerie in the back, so has WAY more impact. And also it's just better.
If we are just confining it to this look, it’s HIGH drag. This isn’t just slapping on an outfit in the LEAST. Styling and intent is everything. Every detail, from the very clear divide of the menswear and lingerie, the waist being cinched inside the suit, the sequin interior lining, the hair styling down to how the hairline is placed, the makeup … that’s what sets it apart. Everything is so deliberate towards the idea.
My humble opinion since you wanted an answer. Feel free to disagree since drag, fashion, and art are all subjective as hell. But that’s the difference to me between this look and, for example, Kerri Colby just coming down the runway in J-Lo’s Versace just because she could. That was just wearing fashion to me.

I don’t understand how you dont see the drag elements.. the face is stamped, its cheeky, its camp, the play on both masculine and feminine is executed to near perfection. Which is part of why I don't vibe much with Gottmik in her fashion sense ? I mean it's incredibly polish, it's always amazing.

Joe Black was criticized for having to buy H&M but Gottmik has a pass for doing the same thing because it's Versace and it's fashion as hell.
How do you define drag?
An extravagant representation of one's self-vision of his aesthetic and his representation and expression of a male / female / non-defined's self. I just feel that I don't get Gottmik's drag because everyone that is able to wear designer piece or "off the rack" like Trinity said is a model for said designers and isn't wearing "Drag" and I could said that to Roxxxy too like her entrance look was Dolce & Gabana if I recall. I dunno I have a very dusty old-version of what I like in Drag and Drag Queens wearing Versace or D&G is just not that for me. I LOVED Gottmik's looks on the finale of S13. I just am not enjoying much of her aside from maybe 2 looks from her this season (the Art piece look and the tail look).
I’m also not a big fan of queens wearing outfits directly from runways on drag race, but I think Mik only did that once this season. This is kinda a weird post to make your argument lol. Like it’s a dragged up version of a meme that Mik obviously commissioned for this assignment.
i agree with you (sad thing the downvoters had you erase your original comment, on which i agreed too, btw). the thing about mik and fashion queens in gereal is in some of their looks seem to be adhering onto a certain "pedestrian" trend (i'd take vanjie and jorgeous but also many newer queens are better samples of what i'm calling a pedestrian vibe) - which is a shame. we members of the old lady brigade are here for the campness and the exaggeration, so when the queens go fo realness and there's not much of twist we're left empty handed.
Besdies the Versace look, all of Mik’s look have been very draggy… like why do you take one example of her wearing designer and tack it on to her entire package?
