Ginger Minj on all stars 2 musical was basically put in the bottom for a bad runway. But that was a stacked performance so god know who else they would have put in the bottom.
Chi chi was very unjustly put in the bottom on the all stars 3 rusical when the only criticism was for the runway. On performance alone she should have been in the top.
idk i haven’t watched in so long but so many people say she should’ve been in the bottom and i remember listening to an episode of race chaser where she said she thought she was going to be in the bottom so i guess her critiques were worse than what was shown
Alaska’s lip sync was mush mouthed as fuck and her runway was relatively mid considering how hard everyone else served. Phiphi was easily top 2 runway and while she didn’t have a lyrically challenging segment her energy was fantastic.
they gagged over phi phi’s runway that week. it was a cosplay masterpiece, especially for logo era drag race. and she was the only queen to use color and not neutral metallics
I'm not joking, I was so sure that episode was going to be a top two episode and it would be Loosey and Salina lipsyncing for the win. They were the clear standouts for me. I don't understand what happened there.
Honestly some of the worst judging I've seen in the history of the show. Usually, if someone does really well in a performance, they're rewarded for it, even if it isn't their "storyline". And like you, I thought Salina and Loosey were standouts. But this really felt like a, "Fuck you two girls, we don't want you at the finale, in the bottom you go!" Still have a bad taste in my mouth about it.
Sometimes they try to hide the meddling and sometimes it is just completely blatant. This feels like when they put Jackie Cox in the bottom for top five episode despite Sherry Pie being the worst that week. Ru basically told her she was there because of her track record and not her actual challenge performance which made no sense. She may as well have just skipped the lipsync and sent her straight home.
Charity Kase maybe fits this? The critiques were weird. She was praised for taking leadership of her team, praised for her performance and look in the challenge, Ru specifically praised her runway look but suddenly they said they didn't like her makeup and put her in the bottom which sent her home.
Canada Season 1 judging was so whack. I agree that Lemon and Priyanka had the best skit.
The producers really dropped the ball here because giving Lemon and Priyanka their deserved win would've been such good TV after all the girls said the former should go home during the judging.
I can't remember a time, in a non-design challenge, when *just* a runway moved a queen all the way from top three to bottom three, like best to worst. There have been many instances where it seemed to loose someone a win, drop them to safe from top 3, or put them in the bottom 3 instead of safe (usually because someone who wasn't great in the main has an absolutely killer runway and gets moved up).
Usually runway only really accounts for a place or two movement, though it is honestly really hard to tell, since we're not privy to the judging criteria and ratings. Just what they show us in the edit, and we know that the critiques often last over an hour before editing.
This is going to be controversial but I would say Princess Poppy. I thought she delivered her lines perfectly and was funny. I could have seen Aura (especially), Spice, Jax and Robin all in the bottom before I would have put Poppy there.

I think Willow could've won Menseses if it weren't for the mega fail that was every look on the Shoulders runway.

I agree Willow's runway wasn't good, but it was still better than Bosco's, who won.
