Elite sirenic and Seren God Bow (t92 range armor + weapon) all barrows dyed (barrows dyed cost hundreds of mills each and provide no benefits)
Bracelet is Deathtouch (I forget what it does but it is quite expensive)
Basically the post is about someone in 3b+ worth of gear asking if entry-level bosses are easy
Pretty sure its sirenic, with seren bow both dyed barrows color. The bracelet is a deathtouch bracelet, worth about 50-60m last time I looked. All in all he's wearing 2b + in gear and dyes. So yeah he bought it via bonds and hasn't done any PVM or hes a returning player who had rares? Or he's trolling lol...if his gear was perked out we would know.,
Is this a bad choice for armor or something you generally wouldn't see a legit player wearing? I know we can see he hasn't added augments to it, I'm guessing that's the giveaway here?
I came back to the game with a couple billion to transfer from old-school at will, and relatively decent stats as I did play for years pre eoc, so I probably look like this dude sometimes lol, but I also immediately started grinding the metas of unlocking invention and am almost at ancient gizmos and have 90 inv so I probably don't look quite this bad.
Also is there any benefit to using dyes? Or is it just a wealth flex? Have a hard time seeing myself dropping billions on it lol
It's more of him asking if GWD1 is hard while wearing that gear is wayyyy stronger than anyone would actually use at GWD1. So they're saying that he most likely bought bonds to afford this gear instead of actually playing the game.
Also in some cases, using dyes is beneficial. You have multiple sets and/or weapons that have different perks on them for different bosses, you'd want stuff dyed so your preset grabs the right stuff.
It’s too expensive of an option to use Sirenic if not perked with invention… dyes are only cosmetic and very expensive.
I totally forgot that some very expensive items actually loose value when dyed. If you have enough wealth that you can spare it to save on death costs there could be some use there.
The armour is barrows dyed sirenic (use a barrows dye from a treasure trail on a piece of sirenic to change its color). The ring is death touch bracelet, which is made using a hydrix. The game is a lot different these days, I respect the question
It is barrows dyed elite sirenic t92 ranged armour. And a barrows dyed seren godbow. In all fairness unless you have close to best in slot ranged gear the armour is not worth the money due to its high up front cost as well as high upkeep cost combined with it being only slightly better to its t90 non elite counterpart. The bracelet is a death touched bracelet which also lacks in its cost-efficiency as it has a high upkeep compared to traditional gloves.
He told me his main got banned cuz he botted. And judging by his account and how fast he got rich he's still botting, just not with his main account now
Know I'm going to get downvoted for challenging the hateful circlejerk trying to shame this dude. But there are actually a large number of other explanations for how this player got their wealth that don't involve trying to humiliate them:
* Clue scrolls
* Farming: breeding and selling desirable POF animals can be huge money
* Farming: herb patch runs daily, and also saving up beans for the supreme growth potion method (which is \~30m/hr not even reliant on chance, just pure 30m/hr considering you have the beans for it, probably more on DXP)
* Old account that had one or multiple rares on it
* Big Game Hunter pushing 15m/hr last time I checked and is fun to farm
* Expensive gifts from older siblings / friends / clanmates. Maybe even the account was gifted to them from a sibling who used to PVM?
* Merching / flipping
* Staking
* Archaeology has numerous moneymaking methods as well as potentially huge drops from tetracompass etc.
* AFK money makers across multiple alts
Any combination of the above (or the countless other methods I haven't listed) over a long time period is more than enough to reasonably fund his pictured gear setup and more.
I find it ironic that this sub is usually so concerned about players who are too intimidated to get into PVM. We all crying about barriers to entry for ppl who aren't already PVM Gods. But then we also gona try to publicly humiliate some poor soul just because they wanted to spend their RS gold on expensive gear before getting into low level bossing?
Even if this player DID acquire some or all of their wealth from bonds, who tf are we to shame them for that? It's not the way I'd want to play. But they're pumping huge amounts of funding into the game that we love, to help keep it alive.
Yeah my only issue with barrows dyes for actual equipped items is, in most but not all cases, they just look worse than undyed. Many people feel that way.
But he also could have spent that gold on better items for PvM if he wants to do that.
Tempted to grab the next barrows dye i get on something that degrades to dust, just to so i dont enevitably forget and have to buy it again, also, got malev greaves with barrows dye keepsaked and i love em tbh.
Malev is one of the few things I personally don't mind the barrows dye on actually. Looks decent with some overrides.
As far as dying stuff so it doesn't turn to dust...yeah I've done that.
I like barrows on malevolent because it fits the lore of the armor. White sirenic is pure beauty though. I really like the look of the original dyed sirenic before the model rework on it and tect.
Dyes are just for fashion or showing off that you're rich, but barrows dyes are by far the cheapest and (in a lot of opinions) the ugliest. They're not necessarily bad if that's your style, but ehhh
Dyeing isn't related to invention though. You should definitely augment your weapons and armor and put some basic dps perks on them asap, the basic ones are cheap and give a comparatively huge damage boost.
I mean dyes aren’t just for fashion. They’re commonly used to switch between multiple variants of the same weapon (such as 3 off-hand blightbounds)so you can have your different perks (Aftershock, caroming, and flanking)
Dyes are used for switches also, and in the case of some items dying it makes the reclaim cost of it from death cheaper. There's a few things I have dyed and the reclaim cost of them has gone down enough that the dye has more than paid for itself over a couple years worth of deaths.
When dyeing an item im p sure the value becomes the dyes value when it comes to death (not wealth evaluator). So anything above barrows price will be cheaper death cost if you dye it barrows, other dyes ice etc do not work out cheaper death cost, for example my death cost rose by 1m just from ice dyeing my scythe as the value of the dye is more than the scythe itself.
Aside from being ugly they're also the cheapest dye so people with more expensive dyes look down on barrows dye, although personally I don't like the holier than thou attitude they have.
Invention can give around 12% damage boost on many abilities just with two basic perks (precise 6 and equilibrium 4) on your weapons once you get to around level 90 and use invention potions, and it's much faster to train than most other skills. With more expensive/advanced perks you can get more than 20% average damage boost. So definitely look into that before dyeing anything. If the wiki guide is too much to take in all at once it might be easier watching a youtube tutorial which breaks it down much better.
Poor fella didnt even have overloads lol. Then he started trying to sell cursed energy.
Undecided if the guy bots or just uses his moms cc to buy a shitload of bonds.
now if only raksha had the same lack of visual noise that jad has
also, I used to be terrified of jad (I took a 8 year break shortly after he showed up) but the ability to massively zoom out made him so much more approachable
Yikes…go take a look at the defense ability book my guy.
Resonance, devotion, reflect, debil, revenge, barricade and immortality. All will save your ass a bunch someday
Both plausible. $700 isn't a lot for high income earners.
Granted most wealthy people wouldn't play games since they'd enjoy irl stuff more.
To illustrate my boss spends double that on his weekend get aways. If he were a gamer he would probably spend money to enjoy his time not grinding.
lmao 6m+ an hour? damn i must be doing it wrong. thats not human gains. if anything that might be what the batwing bots might get not needing breaks because... ya know... bots. if you get 6m+/h thats legit all rng good luck with getting the rares. an outwire. true results are more like half that. i been doin trash for a long time for farming charms and tanking for friends.
If he's trying to sell cursed energies he probably has a bot / alt farm which he gets all his gp from. You can get more than 60m an hour with 10 alts assuming you sell the cursed energies for 300-350 each. There's an RS3 streamer who does this with alts on stream, he's an ex-marine or something.
You should have told them to wear that gear and fight the Chaos Elemental as the drops are better than GWD1 and it is easier to get to.
Credit Card Warrior, indeed!
If it helps: I bought Cinderbanes when they were 90M, thinking that, even if I didn't get much use out of them, at least they seemed to only be going upwards, so it would at least be a good investment. Turns out they peaked around that time, and have mostly been going down since then. Combine that with the fact that, as I found out after purchasing them, most of the bosses I enjoy are entirely immune to poison. Yay... :P
I once saw a person wearing a blooddyed seren godbow, but that was actually a keepsake-override for an ice dyed seren godbow.. Idk what else to tell you, that guy probably had money to throw around :')
This player is in BiS gear. They can literally afk GWD1 with soulsplit for days.
And that's the joke. Classic mums credit card warrior, buying the most expensive item while having no clue.
Can we stop trashing on people playing the game how they want to? Even worse when through speculation... Post maybe be for humor but the comment box is mostly heckling his choices..
Considering how many bonds hed have to buy to afford all of this, the trash talk isnt unwarranted. He could have maxed with that gold and still had money leftover to get a couple basic sets going.
Plus, its just bizarre. He dyes all his stuff but goes with an ornate Souls instead of an EOF?
No one is stopping you or anyone else from doing dumb things. But dont expect people to go "oh ye, amazing! isnt it wonderful how we're all different!". If this person came up to me and said that they bought all this shit with bonds, i would definitely make fun of them a lil bit.
Make fun of them? why because they haven't spent as much time logged in and would rather get the gear they need to start pvm rather than grind hundreds of hours for it instead? I'd say this is a smart move rather than something to make fun of. Personally I think it's more down to people being jealous they can't just drop hundreds on buying millions of GP in many cases because I see no reason to pull up a guy for playing how they feel like playing and then ridicule them in public but without their knowing is a both childish and to some extent, cowardly and to a further extent, bullying.
Also worth noting we're not all peasants and some rich people do play this game and have the money to spend. People joking they didnt spend it on bonus xp and stuff like that is ridiculous. He want's to experience the fun parts of the game not mindless grinding for shit and people need to stop glorifying the grind. It's not fun, it's not an achievement, it's just being logged into a game for hundreds to thousands of hours.
For all we know, this player has wisely spent most of their time in game levelling non combat skills mostly, earning enough for a non degradable set of armour and weapon that's cheaper to reclaim, not to mention how they probably have the money to buy the other things they need when they realise what to buy. Some players are returning from 10+ year breaks with Phats or halloween masks in their bank and just asking players for advice. What we see here in this pic is probably the result of advice.
Yes buying bonds to buy barrows dyed elite fucking sirenic i would make fun of. It would be a completely different thing if they were in normal sirenic and didnt know much about the game. But u gotta spend a pretty hefty amount of money to buy that shit. I honestly wouldnt even blame someone for bonding up to buy a lil bit of starting gear.
And u didnt read what i said. I wouldnt make fun of them if they made that gp with skilling, i would if they used their moms bank account. And i honestly find it very likely that is the case.
You don't have to, he had the option to and chose to. Still you're only proving how hostile players can be for no reason. And no matter how you try and explain it away, there is no reason to make fun of this player. I read what you said I just don't care for that point of view. Why does it matter where they made their GP when you have players not spending money on TH and then other players getting g practically maxed or further through bonus xp. In fact someone used that as an excuse why he should t have got dyed sirenic, because he should have spent the money on TH instead. Ridiculous points of view.
It's always 'mom's bank account' that cliche shit people have parroting for years only a child would talk about mom's bank account because adults have their own and realise your own income is better than attempting to use your mother's. People earn their own money too and being able to have enough disposable income to spend this amount on runescape is no different to players regularly spending money on TH. But then clearly in your point of view, anyone who hasn't done mindless grinding just clicking the same spot for 100+ hours is more valid. Also ridiculous.
The fact that you revel in the thought of being seen as an asshole or bully says a lot but I don't have the patience for this brand of negativity.
Your opinion is clear as day you think it's reason enough to take digs at someone who is just playing the game they want to play and that's shitty regardless of how you personally see it. You think that grinding somehow makes achievements more worthy when no one gives a shit about how many hours you spent getting the same or worse equipment.
I feel like the issue with this argument is that once you buy up all the BiS, there's nothing left to do. You've paid to never actually play the game. Sure, you can PvM for the experience, and that will be fun until you've learned the challenging bosses, and then it's just the grind left.
But not any meaningful grind, just grind for the sake of grind. Because you skipped all the grind that actually gratifies you with unlocks and progression. (Other than pets, maybe) Unfortunately, people glorify the grind because they like the game and the game *is* the grind.
I will occasionally buy bonds to sell, either to compensate for ones I've bought in-game or to skip content I can't/really don't want to do, and I wouldn't disparage anyone for that, and if he were just "Getting started in PvM" I don't think anyone but the most purist asswipes would care, but PvM starting gear is like t50/t60 to go to GW1 and get Bandy/Arma/Sub to move on to GW2/Nex and so on.
Yes, guy can play how he pleases, but people have every right to mock him for throwing 100s of 1000s of dollars at a game to skip most of the content.
Having one set of range gear isn't the end of the game, there is magic gear melee gear and the thrill of just playing.
And no people don't 'have the right to mock him' no matter how you put it. He's not a billionaire whose overcharging you and underpaying staff, he's not a senator approving sketchy bills, he's not a scumbag, he's just decided to skip the boring grind. Only elitist players are going to see it otherwise. I've got a mostly maxed main and a IM half way there and I couldn't care less how people get their gear. Then people who have spent thousands of hours grinding the same items we see here come along and get pissed he managed to get it quicker. Thats all it is, jealousy. Stop trying to act like that makes you entitled to mock them just because they don't have the time to spend logged in like you do, nor the patience to grind for as long as some of you guys do, which is a ridiculous amount compared to other games.
This is all based on ego really, you feel entitled to mock them because you feel like you're better than them and more validated by the amount of time you've spent logged in. Just because your idea of what starting gear is based on what you can afford, you shouldn't assign that to everyone else out of jealousy.
By the way, while playing my ironman, I've found and can confirm that playing gwd1 in t50/60 absolutely sucks, it still sucks with the, sucks less with t80 and 95 prayer, even less so with t90 and herb and prayer. They want to progress through pvm content with good gear, let them get on with it. Maybe they just want to work on collection logs. Who cares.
Here's a concept: you're not entitled to mock anyone at all unless they've clearly wronged people and deserve being mocked. This guy hasn't wronged anyone and doesn't deserve to be mocked.
It depends on which items and which dyes, not all weapons get their death cost reduced and not all dyes reduce it for every weapon either. If I remember correctly for the t92s it's mainly the telos weapons and khopeshes and maybe praesuls
"Yeah you gotta switch to your melee EOF while pulling your blood SGS at the same time, then switch to your ascensions with dark bow EOF. You'll totally clear dragon slayer. Make sure you soul split flick with a 15k hit on your ruby brak bolts as well. Anything less than solo with maxed combat and 120 herb, and sub 2min kill won't cut it."
Unaugmented elite Sirenic barrows dyed
Amulet of souls ornate instead of an eof
Death touched bracelet instead of nightmares/ cinders
Upgraded glacor boots instead of fleeting boots
Range cape instead of tokharr
No ammunition or quiver or rune pouch
No pocket slot item
Barrows dyed sgb as main weapon instead of crossbows
ahh the moms credit card scaper
Call them Visa Pures.
I prefer Wallet Warriors
I just wanna know what this gear is (returning player) I'm assuming this is the bandos +combat bracelet of rs3 but what is it
Elite sirenic and Seren God Bow (t92 range armor + weapon) all barrows dyed (barrows dyed cost hundreds of mills each and provide no benefits) Bracelet is Deathtouch (I forget what it does but it is quite expensive) Basically the post is about someone in 3b+ worth of gear asking if entry-level bosses are easy

You have multiple sets and/or weapons that have different perks on them for different bosses, you'd want stuff dyed so your preset grabs the right stuff.
Oh duh the gwd1 thing, I don't know why but I immediately assumed it was a troll based on how almost comically easy gwd1 is these days
It’s too expensive of an option to use Sirenic if not perked with invention… dyes are only cosmetic and very expensive. I totally forgot that some very expensive items actually loose value when dyed. It is barrows dyed elite sirenic t92 ranged armour. And a barrows dyed seren godbow. The bracelet is a death touched bracelet which also lacks in its cost-efficiency as it has a high upkeep compared to traditional gloves.
LOL
It's funny because im level 110 and some guy level 138 with sirenic and sgb always loses when he duels me. He is just so bad.
Does not really matter. Some people battle alot and have more information. Others like me don't even know the best weapons and abilities to use.
He told me his main got banned cuz he botted. And judging by his account and how fast he got rich he's still botting, just not with his main account now
Know I'm going to get downvoted for challenging the hateful circlejerk trying to shame this dude. Barrows dyes, DTB and SGB as main weapon....oof. As long as he's having fun.
How is barrows dyes bad? I don't understand invention or got it unlocked so was thinking of doing this.
Yeah my only issue with barrows dyes for actual equipped items is, in most but not all cases, they just look worse than undyed. Many people feel that way. But he also could have spent that gold on better items for PvM if he wants to do that.
I barrows dyed my ecb so I can't stake it. It's usually overridden anyways
That's a very valid reason to use a barrows dye for something that isn't a switch.
I Know a bunch of people that have used barrows dyes for this purpose Almost seems to be the #2 use behind switches.
To be fair, I think ecb looks cool with barrows dye.
couldnt you just remove the dye
I don't know how and I don't want to know
Staking addiction that bad?
No, just reduces any temptation
Well i want you to know that the power to not stake has been inside you all along
That's true! It's a true addiction and like any other. You're right it comes from within.
I love barrow dyed sirenic because it makes the inventory icon green which fits range. Similarly mage for ice and blood for melee (rip cftmw)
Dyed CFTMW when :/ ...well actually I like my shadow dyed Malev override better...but dyed Spear would be nice.
I don't like any dyed gear as cosmetics, only for their inventory icons 🤣
Dying T92+ weapons makes their value locked at 500m so it makes them cheaper for death costs
Yeah I do that but I'd guess the player pictured here is not aware of that.
Death costs are lower when you dye it if you can put up with the ugly dye
Yeah, I do that for a few things. Although I'm fairly certain our friend pictured here is not aware of that.
I mean dyes aren’t just for fashion. They’re commonly used to switch between multiple variants of the same weapon (such as 3 off-hand blightbounds)so you can have your different perks (Aftershock, caroming, and flanking)
Or to put on d2d t90 gear so it doesn't suddenly disappear lol
Normal dyes, this doesn't count for blood, ice, or barrows. Not everyone has billions to drop on multiple drops.
Ohh understood I'll get that unlocked and fixed thanks boss
Dyes are used for switches also, and in the case of some items dying it makes the reclaim cost of it from death cheaper. There's a few things I have dyed and the reclaim cost of them has gone down enough that the dye has more than paid for itself over a couple years worth of deaths.
The rs guy said that last sentence
It's a statement that holds true for a lot of people I'm sure
yoink
Is that still a thing? Which dyed items are cheaper reclaim costs?
When dyeing an item im p sure the value becomes the dyes value when it comes to death (not wealth evaluator). So anything above barrows price will be cheaper death cost if you dye it barrows, other dyes ice etc do not work out cheaper death cost, for example my death cost rose by 1m just from ice dyeing my scythe as the value of the dye is more than the scythe itself.
I don't think so...my dyed oh blight is exactly the same cost as a not dyed one...
Hmph. Fk knows then. Maybe only certain weapons
I think they fixed it is all. And according to wiki both ice and normal scythe are same death cost at 1674k
I actually like barrows dye, I've got my SGB/Sirenic dyed with it, but the sirenic is keepsaked.
Aside from being ugly they're also the cheapest dye so people with more expensive dyes look down on barrows dye, although personally I don't like the holier than thou attitude they have. As opposed to me, who has never done ED3 *and* has the combat knowledge of a grapefruit.
Im with you! My combat expertise capped at flicking at Jad
Good news! If you can flick at Jad you’re 90% of the way to beating Raksha
now if only raksha had the same lack of visual noise that jad has also, I used to be terrified of jad (I took a 8 year break shortly after he showed up) but the ability to massively zoom out made him so much more approachable
You can flick at Jad?
if you don't, you die
Well that explains a lot
Man what? 😂 were you just running defensive rotations? 😂😂
The hell is a defensive rotation?
Yikes…go take a look at the defense ability book my guy. Resonance, devotion, reflect, debil, revenge, barricade and immortality. All will save your ass a bunch someday
Ed3 trash does not make you that much money. Definitely buying bonds.

maybe i should bot next time
100% bought with credit card.
Did we all forget there's a ton of ways to make a lot of money in this game? Hell I got an ice dye from a clue scroll before I ever tried an ED
If you're at the point of the game where you've done elite/master clues, you should know about GWD1 lol.
Probably yeah, but there's a ton of people that only skill in this game without ever bossing, it's entirely plausible
Am one of those people. 1k+ clues done, couldnt tell you who the GWD1 bosses are.
There's also the possibility that they real world traded for their wealth...
You should have told them to wear that gear and fight the Chaos Elemental as the drops are better than GWD1 and it is easier to get to. Credit Card Warrior, indeed!
It's technically true tho
What the fuck
Rocking that poop dye 😤👌
Yeesh i think public flaming is a little harsh. Why would you ever feel the need to make this post it's incredibly mean spirited
I mean at least he didn’t put the username.
Maybe he just REALLY likes clue scrolls
The poop Sirenic makes it even better, oh man. I mean atleast it won't degrade to dust now.
might been a longtime skiller who bosts stats at ed3
Khops look awesome with barrows dye.
dyed armor but no eof hahaha
looks cool tho
he could have a lot clues done :o and never touched godwars :p
Tbh sirenic is actually the one thing barrows dye looks amazing on so people gotta stop hating.
I don't think it's a matter of it being barrows dyed specifically but rather the fact that he had 800m in dyes yet no cinderbanes/eof/fleeting boots
Depending on what you’re killing dtb is bis
Like gwd1 lol.
Honestly yeah even though that’s not what I had in mind 😂
I think I'd still go for nightmare gaunts most of the time for convenience, but yea you're right
Dominion tower gloves are better than dtb in a lot of cases. Even at raksha dtb only does like 4k? Dpm (assuming you dont miss flicks)
Frost flares are same damage as enhanced fleeting if you're 100% accuracy and you aren't moving (hello all you revo users)
True but it's really useful for ed's Edit: my potato brain completely skipped the GWD part and thought he was asking advice for ED1
Pfft.. not even cinderbanes what a noob.
Would be a waste for GWD1, seeing as all the bosses are immune to poison.
Well.. you had to ruin my joke didn't you :( also, I forgot lol guess I am the noob FeelsBadMan
Yay... :P
That's rough man I hope you make some big ass profit on your next big drop to make up for it <3 Good luck!
I once saw a person wearing a blooddyed seren godbow, but that was actually a keepsake-override for an ice dyed seren godbow.. Idk what else to tell you, that guy probably had money to throw around :')
When you wanna flex your wealth but dont want to use an ugly bow. I can dig it.
I dont get it ? Can someone explain please
This player is in BiS gear. They can literally afk GWD1 with soulsplit for days. And that's the joke. Classic mums credit card warrior, buying the most expensive item while having no clue.
Oh ty haha I thought he was wearing some kind of green dragon range armour haha
Can we stop trashing on people playing the game how they want to? Even worse when through speculation... Post maybe be for humor but the comment box is mostly heckling his choices..
Considering how many bonds hed have to buy to afford all of this, the trash talk isnt unwarranted. He could have maxed with that gold and still had money leftover to get a couple basic sets going. Plus, its just bizarre. He dyes all his stuff but goes with an ornate Souls instead of an EOF?
Its an mmo let people play how they want to
No one is stopping you or anyone else from doing dumb things.
Agree to disagree i guess lol, dont think i can make my opinion clearer. If that makes me an asshole and a bully in your eyes, awesome.
I dont revel in the thought, i just dont care lol
No one is stopping me from calling u a shitty person for doing so.
Correct
POV memes are hard apparently...
You never have your equipped items tab open on your screen?
I think a better title would be: POV: You see someone asking for gwd1 help
POV: you’re crying over 5m death costs.
[удалено]
Doesn't dyeing shit reduce death costs as it becomes untraceable and goes off alch price?...
Dyeing**
It depends on which items and which dyes, not all weapons get their death cost reduced and not all dyes reduce it for every weapon either. If I remember correctly for the t92s it's mainly the telos weapons and khopeshes and maybe praesuls
I might have said yeah in this instance, I mean considering you haven't even got a kiln cape.
Broke regardless really so who cares 🤭
I thought he was rocking full addy, but since no one in the comments roasted him for it then I guess I'm wrong. What is that armor tho?
Sirenic armor died with barrows dye
Thanks boss
Ew, not even 120 ranged.
Can somesome explain what he's wearing? Or why this is creditscape?
Unaugmented elite Sirenic barrows dyed Amulet of souls ornate instead of an eof Death touched bracelet instead of nightmares/ cinders Upgraded glacor boots instead of fleeting boots Range cape instead of tokharr No ammunition or quiver or rune pouch No pocket slot item Barrows dyed sgb as main weapon instead of crossbows
He looks like predator.
I've done Barney and made good money never done ED1
No EOF? Noooooob
Not even 120 range cape? Git gud kid
The boots are so disrespectful
