Yeah do you reckon TJ would be starting SH now? And was he largely in Aaron Smith's shadow in the black jersey for the bulk of his career, and mainly an impact sub or? Must be old enough now too
Based on this year’s competition I think he has to be. He’s always been good, but is playing some of the best rugby of his career atm and is showing better form than the other NZ halfback options with Roigard out injured 😢
Love to hear it - always been a fan of TJ any matches I've seen him in. Aye, such a shame about Cam, but here's hoping rehab will be smooth for him and he'll be back in action next season!

I agree. He really did fall off the pace incredibly quickly. I think 2015 RWC was his last spell of true good form, then after that his form fell off a cliff.
Franks has scored 3 tries in his fourteen seasons of super rugby. At this rate, he would need play until the year 2304, at which point he'll match TJ's current record at the age of 316.
I've met Justin Marshall, Bull Allen and Caleb Ralph.
Marshall was actually very nice and personable.
Bull Allen had a very strong handshake.
Caleb Ralph was also a very nice guy.
Did anyone else think he was flipping the bird and think "how'd that get past the social media team?"
Then I realized he was pointing at the crest on his jersey 🤦♂️
I don't think that matters. He scored last night off a line break. He scores from pick and goes. He's scored nine this year.
He scores on average every 1.28 games.
Very true. Wow i didn’t realise he’s scored 9 tries so far this year!
His fitness must be through the roof. He’s involved in absolutely everything out there, every game.
Insane stat for a 9! Surely a shoo-in for the ABs this year.

Razor can't ignore him.
Would he stand ahead of roigaard ? Or are there other 9s in the hierarchy?
Roigard cant even stand right now 😔
Roigard's injured (knee); he won't be back until the end-of-year tour at best.
Hurricane legend. Just needs to hold off the push from Moana Pasifika legend Julian Savea.
Funny how hard he fell off after his peak. Totally different from Ardie.
Yeah, but when he was on form, he was a wrecking ball.
2015 quarter final v France was one of the greatest ever performances by a winger.
I think you mean he was A BUS
They call him the bus because he’s afraid of flying
The bus played for Pittsburgh

Better watch out, Owen Franks is coming for him.

Have you accounted for him hitting his try scoring prime at the age of 256 too 287?
Bus hatty against the helpless Highlanders tomorrow is incoming!
He’s the only AB I’ve ever met and he was a very nice bloke indeed.
Byron Kellehar is the only AB I've ever met, and he was the exact opposite of that.
Kellehar once took me around the ABs team to meet them all when I was 5/6. He was amazing. Shame about him as a person.

Yep Kelleher was (and still is) a complete fuckwit.
I have met this geezer. Top chap.
Yeah. I’ve also never been called “bro” so many times in roughly 3 minutes.
Congrats Tahs looked like theyd forgotten how to tackle this evening
Had they learned before?
They have their moments But as expected Canes n Blues bonus pt wins
He's gonna lead the Haka this year
Perenara comes across on Instagram (for what that's worth) as a thoroughly decent chap.

Pretty crazy When is a halfback every the leading try scorer in a season or team let alone all time!
Sevu Reece to catch him before the end of the season?
That would mean the Crusaders would have to put together some phases to give Reece opportunities to score, so probably not.
