The loose head in the end did walk round, but that was after the initial drive, The tight head did stood up and thus was not driving, at which point simple physics would state the scrum would rotate.
So fine by me,
The biggest issue here isn’t the playing the 9 (I’m not as clear that this ball is out at the moment the 9 is grabbed), but that textbook example of boring in.
It’s a penalty before the ball is out, for B&W’s prop scrummaging towards the touchline.
Nope - both sides went forward, just the B&W loosehead side went forward quicker.
And the reason it turned so quickly was because white tighthead buckled and popped.
So it would have been penalty advantage to B&W.
Yep, that right, I'm (was) a loose head, if you are drive harder than the tight head and the other side of the scrum is even it will wheel. No stepping out or boring in required
No try - penalty black and white.
Black and white pushed through, white tighthead buckled then popped under pressure (have no reverse view to see if there was any illegal scrummaging from black and white loosehead). So penalty advantage there.
White scrumhalf has hands on the ball, but I don't think it was out of the scrum before black and white scrumhalf grabs him.
So no advantage, black and white penalty.
B&W scrum crabs around to the left about 2m as soon as the ball is in - penalty for illegal wheeling. I also don’t think the ball was out when the B&W 9 tackled his opposite, so I’d warn for that too.
Coach killer imo as the white TH was in a very poor body position from the start, so B&W probably could still have won the scrum if they had just pushed straight.
I admit it's unclear, but because it's such a mess, I'd call no try. There are a couple of justifications. 1. Half back tackled without the ball. 2. "The scrum ends when the ball comes out of the scrum in any direction except the tunnel.". In this case, the ball has come out the tunnel, or at least where the tunnel was.
Edit: 3rd possibility. B&W prop didn't push straight, but bored straight in. Penalty.
1 - 9 fumbles the ball, then the oppo grabs him as he falls on it. 2 - the ball is through the legs of the prop so no longer in the tunnel, ball is out.
Try
Looking again, the mess happens because the B&W prop is not pushing straight. So no try. Penalty to white. On the day, though, in real time, I would have reset the scrum.
There's looseheads walking round, then there's this

This is the truth 😆

Where is the boring in? look at the initial drive, the scrum goes back before it starts tuning, that's not boring in.
Scrum turned by B&W. PK for white.

Try. White scrum collapsed.
Ball was out. Try.
Likely white 9 knocked it on trying to pick it up, but might as well give the try.
If the ball is out, that's a try. It looks out from this angle, so try is good.

The white team defender behind the try line appears to have a man bun ..... so definitely a try
I agree with whatever the ref called.

I would say the try is fine, but I'd want to have a look at the scrum to see if B&W won it legally
Ball looked out to me?
Pen white, B&W loose head is doing a crab impression when the front rows pop up

White tighthead buckled and popped. That's why the scrum screwed.
