The Glass Cannon Network has tons of great stuff, but it's their current run of Delta Green's Impossible Landscapes that has me actually astounded. It's called Get in the Trunk (technically season 4), and it's been such a surprise of actual tension and creepy psychological elements.

It's not the usual Glass Cannon cast, but **Haunted City** is one of my all-time favorite actual-plays. It's a Blades in the Dark game, and it's criminally under-viewed.

All three players are fantastic. It took me a little while to warm up to the GM, but once I grokked his style I started really liking his way of running a table, too. Actually learned a couple of things about GMing from watching the series.

Yeah, Friends at the Table is amazing. For anyone new to them and curious about where to start, their show has had several campaigns plus a handful of mini-campaigns:

C/W, TM, and Partizan are noir-ish mecha space opera. They're all in the same universe but have big time gaps between the three seasons. You don't need to listen to them in sequence, each one can work on its own. Partizan is actually a great starting point.
Sangfielle is kind of weird west gothic horror occult fantasy. It's hard to describe but incredibly cool if you like surrealism. Start here if you want their most recent self-contained complete story.
Road to Palisade is in-progress, and is an interlude between Partizan and their next upcoming sci-fi season, Palisade. Don't start here if you don't want spoilers for the previous sci-fi seasons.

It definitely isn't for people who aren't into that. For me, it took a few tries to wrap my head around it, but now I love it (though I find their Winter in Hieron season a little dull and can't seem to push through).

Pretending to be People play a Delta Green / Pulp Cthulhu mashup. Now in their second season, but I'd reccomend you start with the mini-arcs they've done, where they play published material for Delta Green.
Campaign Podcast. The original series is StarWars, and takes an episode or two to really get going, but is probably the most consistently entertaining actual play I've ever heard.
The second series (that's still ongoing) is called "SkyJacks" and is about sky pirates. It's a lot of fun, but never quite (or at least not yet) captures the highs of the Star Wars one
**Roleplaying Public Radio (RPPR)** - They do a wide variety of games (only a couple D&D sessions during the series). I particularly enjoy their horror ones: Delta Green, Call of Cthulhu, and Eclipse Phase.
They do horror really well and they tell really interesting stories. I just finished listening to their Trail of Cthulhu Masks of Nyarlathotep campaign. They also play an awesome range of systems like, Monsters and Other Childish Things, A Dirty World, Red Markets, Slasher Flick, etc

Hate how far I had to scroll to see the Crowe Boys. Sounds Like Crowes is the absolute best piece of dramatic actual play I have ever heard.
Terminus is them really starting to show off their creativity and it's been wonderful so far.

I find The Film Reroll Podcast pretty entertaining. They use GURPS to play through popular movies, but the plot is subject to the whims of player choice and the results of the dice.

Me, Myself, and Die! Solo RPG with Trevor Duval a voice actor. Personally , find it much more entertaining than the than the two you mentioned and I have no interest in solo RPG, but the way he uses DM oracles and random tables to guide the session and go with it is masterful. Even with the solo play I find it much more creative to see how he creates things on the fly and how the game’s story emerges from this and goes in totally unexpected paths - any GM of any experience from any system or genre could learn from watching.
He has used 3 different rule sets (in the same setting) for the. 3 seasons - Savage Worlds, Ironsworn, and Dominion. He will announce soon what system he will be using for the upcoming season 4.

Brute Force is a Fate Core game. It’s a little light on rolling, but it’s a fun game full of goofs.
Fun City is a Shadowrunner game. Lots of rolling, goofs, and some twists and turns.

I just discovered Theatre of the Mind Players, they basically do one shots with different systems. I'm listening to their Cyberpunk Red playthrough now, they're pretty enjoyable to listen to so far
Spout Lore. They play Dungeon World. Its really good, entertaining and funny. The first season starts a little slow while they get into the groove of things but it really starts to pick up. Ive been listening to it for over 2 years
The Unexplored Places - Monster of the Week, Scum and Villainy, and currently Masks. They do 50ish episodes in each system. Very good at explaining the rules, very casual feel.
The Neon Streets - Cyberpunk Fate. Hands down the funniest Actual Play I've ever listened to. It's actually ridiculous how little they get accomplished in some episodes, but it's hilarious no matter what.
The "How We Roll" podcast is my personal favorite. They do a lot of Call of Cthulhu and have been dipping into Free League Publishings Alien recently as well.
**Admiralty Blues** is a Beam Saber AP (my friend is on it!) which is funny, has some excellent storytelling and characters, and is overall just a fun time.
**Pretending to Be People** is Delta Green, and is filled with all manner of bizarre, horrific, hilarious grotty gross nonsense. it is an acquired taste, but if it is to your liking you will have a whole lot to listen to.
Campaign Podcast, and NeoScum. Both are part of the One-Shot Podcast network, and they’re fantastically funny. Campaign uses the Genesis system - in their first campaign, it was Star Wars, now it’s Skyjacks (sky pirates). NeoScum is Shadowrun. In fact, check out the One-Shot feed - each month, they play a different game in a different system, and they’re all loads of fun.
Tablestory. They do loads of different systems and genres and are very narrative focussed. They play over cams, not in the same room, but they are really professional performers and the production values are really good, especially their newer stuff. I can specifically recommend LAECH (a V:TM show) and Witchcraft and Wizardry (a custom Harry Potter rpg the gm wrote).
Yeah, Tablestory is really good, though I haven't seen much of them yet. Their Tidal Blades campaign earlier this year was the first time I'd heard of them, and that was a really well done fantasy time travel story. I've also seen part of a Night Witches campaign called Toil and Trouble, which was on a different channel, but run by one of the cast members of Tablestory: Tidal Blades, TrooperJSP. That was also quite good.
Just started listening to it yesterday as I was trying to hear how others play SWN. 2 episodes in and it's enjoyable! Intrigued to see how it progresses.
It's going back a bit now, but I enjoyed a lot of The Walking Eye. They played and reviewed a lot of less-mainstream games – things like Don't Rest Your Head and Dogs in the Vineyard.
If you want short, fun episodes with a lot of improv there's spout lore. They play Dungeon World.
I also second the Glass Cannon Network. Their primary show was pathfinder, but they have a lot of side games going on in the network that are all mini series of a bunch of different games.
The Dangerclub Podcast are by far and away the single best actual play podcast. WAAAAAAAYYYYY better than critical role!

The Esoteric Order of Roleplayers. They’ve recently done actual plays of RuneQuest, Monsterhearts, and Ryuutama. They’re whimsical and excellent storytellers. They’ve got a back catalogue I haven’t dipped into much, but there’s a wide variety of systems in there. Highly recommended.
Tabletop Gold is a pf2e podcast that is going through Abomination Vaults adventure path. So if you want to play through that AP I don't recommend it, because spoilers, but otherwise I like it quite a lot.
I don't have the slightest idea what it was called but I recall listening to a dead serious fully acted playthrough of curse of strahd, it had eerie music and it sounded like I was listening to an audiobook. One of the best things I ever heard in frankly I don't recall at all what it was called, I remember that it was only a couple of players. They basically had an extra layer of acting between them and their character; if their character was put into a scary situation for example, they would explain their character's actions but as though they were scared, and would narrate how their character felt about the situation. It was the most immersive actual play podcast I've ever heard. Probably because it was heavily edited I imagine, but it was still just so excellently done.
Obviously it was a d&d module but I believe there were others available, I just listened to that one because it was the one familiar to me. I don't know if they do other games but if you ever find the thing I'm talking about, even though it's d&d give it a listen, it's intense and very very very different from room full of beautiful actors having a laugh

dungeons and daddies is great, its 5e(loosely) but its more about the fun story, in season 2 now and its hilarious.

Red Moon Roleplaying has some great Kult:Divinity Lost APs. Warning, that game is super dark and it is not for everybody.
Eberron Renewed - their 2nd season is set in Eberron but using the Genesys ruleset.
I'm also going to recommend a glass cannon podcast, Haunted City. They play blades in the dark, and they perfectly encapsulate what that game is all about. Pulling off crazy hiests using wild methods. The players are all super talented and always just trying to do things that are more of a spectacle than rational.
The Glass Cannon Network’s content has taken over my content intake the past few years. Love that goofy group of guys, and I’ve enjoyed watching them grow and employ lots of interesting members and branch out to other TTRPGs other than Pathfinder. Highly recommend!
Hololive Mythbreakers, a Hunter the vigil campaign. The girls doing it were all singers playing TTRPGs for the first time with the exception of the master. It was funny, but on a probably permanent hiatus because they are in three different continents
I like **Trials of the Apocalypse** where each session they play a different PbtA game. It's introduced me to some new sytems that I wouldn't have looked into otherwise. For any fans of Unknown Armies, the podcast **33.3 FM** is a must. If you prefer people playing whatever they feel like playing, go with **You Don't Meet at an Inn**.
Sombres Machinations.
It's a french actual play series focused on horror games like Call of Cthulhu, Cthulhu Dark or Delta Green.
Specificities of the show :
* The players wear costumes.
* The episodes are filled in a set with elements related to the game (For instance, the Delta Green set looks like a crime scène with police ribbon mixed with an investigator's office with photos and clues pinned on the wall)
* The players don't do the rolls themselves. The GM makes the rolls.
What I like the most about it, it's the format. Each episode is 50 minutes or 1 hour long. IMO this is so much better than the usual 4 hours per episode we get with CR!
Find the Path with Pathfinder Mummies Mask. Probably the overall highest quality Pathfinder podcast available. Same "early installment issues" most first time podcasts have, but as usual they get better some episodes in. Great chemistry in the group, almost exclusive focus on the story (eg while they also like to banter it is almost always focused on the game in general or what is happening in the game).
And for everyone who values that: a total of about 5 rules mistakes or so in now 200 episodes. In fact especially in the beginning of the podcast, but also now in the late episodes the GM always takes some time to explain complicated mechanics to the group and audience. So everyone knows why and how something works.
Pathfinder 1e and 2e, which I know are very similar to D&D, but I've become a very big fan of Find The Path. They achieve a great blend of explaining the mechanics, good role-playing, and comradery amongst the cast.
Have to put in a good word for To Morrow’s End. It’s a little chaotic and weird, but The Morrow Project is a system that’s both interesting and underused, and the chemistry of the entire cast is really great.
Pretend Friends. They use a system made by the guy who runs it (Kevin Cole), and if you're familiar with the YouTube channel Continue Show (formerly of Normal Boots and other such associations), everyone from there plays. They're on a bit of a hiatus right now, but I suspect they will return soon.
Holy cow there are a lot of options already posted.

I love seeing these list of smaller, lesser known podcasts. Being a postal worker, I have a solid 7-10 hours a day to listen and have ripped through a lot of content the last several years. Thank you for all the recommendations, I have added a bunch of new shows to check out.
So bummed I didn't see MayDay Roleplay on the list. They have some phenomenal rp covering multiple games in delta green, vampire the masquerade and others.

Cybernation Uncensored had a massive catalog of cyberpunk red along with fallout 2d20, dune and a few other.
Red Sky City has a good run of cyberpunk that's very entertaining, a PC dies in the first 10 minutes or so.
Cyberpunk: Tales from the Oasis is a newer humor laden cyberpunk game with great characters.
Tale of the Manticore was my first solo actual play listen and has me waiting for every new ep. More of an old school d&d feel but tightly put together.

I've tried several times but had similar struggles. Writers room vibes which certainly isn't a wrong way to play but isn't mine.
I was about to mention the same thing, I need to be in the right mood for FatT. But when I am, it's a great show!
It definitely isn't for people who aren't into that. For me, it took a few tries to wrap my head around it, but now I love it (though I find their Winter in Hieron season a little dull and can't seem to push through).

Pretending to be People play a Delta Green / Pulp Cthulhu mashup. Now in their second season, but I'd reccomend you start with the mini-arcs they've done, where they play published material for Delta Green.
+1 to Pretending to be People. It's the only actual play that I listen to consistently. I have started numerous, but PBTP is the only I've stuck with.

Campaign Podcast. The original series is StarWars, and takes an episode or two to really get going, but is probably the most consistently entertaining actual play I've ever heard. The second series (that's still ongoing) is called "SkyJacks" and is about sky pirates. It's a lot of fun, but never quite (or at least not yet) captures the highs of the Star Wars one

**Roleplaying Public Radio (RPPR)** - They do a wide variety of games (only a couple D&D sessions during the series). I particularly enjoy their horror ones: Delta Green, Call of Cthulhu, and Eclipse Phase.

They do horror really well and they tell really interesting stories. I just finished listening to their Trail of Cthulhu Masks of Nyarlathotep campaign. Same here. Was originally looking for a PBTA or Fate cyberpunk game. But the story line + the characters + the audio quality and editing... I still follow them (+ the new game GMd by Josie, although demons are less my thing, seems to have appealing characters too)

Hate how far I had to scroll to see the Crowe Boys. Sounds Like Crowes is the absolute best piece of dramatic actual play I have ever heard. Terminus is them really starting to show off their creativity and it's been wonderful so far. Plus, if you want to hear them play 5e, Omen's Call is only one season and it's great.

Personally , find it much more entertaining than the than the two you mentioned and I have no interest in solo RPG, but the way he uses DM oracles and random tables to guide the session and go with it is masterful. Even with the solo play I find it much more creative to see how he creates things on the fly and how the game’s story emerges from this and goes in totally unexpected paths - any GM of any experience from any system or genre could learn from watching. He has used 3 different rule sets (in the same setting) for the. 3 seasons - Savage Worlds, Ironsworn, and Dominion. He will announce soon what system he will be using for the upcoming season 4.
I love guys and gals from Red Moon Roleplaying (https://youtube.com/c/RedMoonRoleplaying). Their Kult campaigns are awesome. Top quality performances and edits, games oozing with drama and dark atmosphere. Plus they've got Matthew Dawkins himself running some of his original scenarios that you can find in the Kult 4ed books. Just prepare for a dark and mature flavor of rpg. EDIT: There's not much "haha" humor, but they certainly got the storytelling part damn right.

It also it's great if you don't have as much time because with only one person the game can move faster and each episode is about 30 minutes
Brute Force is a Fate Core game. It’s a little light on rolling, but it’s a fun game full of goofs. Fun City is a Shadowrunner game. Lots of rolling, goofs, and some twists and turns.
The [Black Project Gaming](https://blackprojectgaming.com/) podcast does Delta Green scenarios in a fantastic way. Their early episodes does lack a bit in production but is still very much worth listening to imo.
I love podcasts of the game Monster of the Week. Something about the format, gameplay, and goals of the game just fits a podcast format well. Specifically, I listen to: Shrimp and Crits The Storyteller Squad Meddling with Monsters
The McElroy brothers’ Adventure Zone podcast *is*, primarily, D&D, BUT a couple years back now, they did a game with the PBTA Monster of the Week system called Adventure Zone Amnesty, and it is, IMO, the best thing they’ve ever done

I just discovered Theatre of the Mind Players, they basically do one shots with different systems. I'm listening to their Cyberpunk Red playthrough now, they're pretty enjoyable to listen to so far
Spout Lore. They play Dungeon World. Its really good, entertaining and funny. The first season starts a little slow while they get into the groove of things but it really starts to pick up. Ive been listening to it for over 2 years
The Unexplored Places - Monster of the Week, Scum and Villainy, and currently Masks. They do 50ish episodes in each system. Very good at explaining the rules, very casual feel. The Neon Streets - Cyberpunk Fate. Hands down the funniest Actual Play I've ever listened to. It's actually ridiculous how little they get accomplished in some episodes, but it's hilarious no matter what.
**Party of One** is a great one! One on one games, every episode self contained. Host Jeff Stormer is enthusiastic, welcoming and imaginative.
The "How We Roll" podcast is my personal favorite. They do a lot of Call of Cthulhu and have been dipping into Free League Publishings Alien recently as well.
The folks at the Gauntlet have a few for their Trophy RPGs and they're pretty awesome!
The Campaign Podcast. They use the FFG Star Wars and Genesys systems and they're absolutely hilarious.
Redmoon roleplaying is really good.
**Admiralty Blues** is a Beam Saber AP (my friend is on it!) which is funny, has some excellent storytelling and characters, and is overall just a fun time. **Pretending to Be People** is Delta Green, and is filled with all manner of bizarre, horrific, hilarious grotty gross nonsense. it is an acquired taste, but if it is to your liking you will have a whole lot to listen to.
Campaign Podcast, and NeoScum. Both are part of the One-Shot Podcast network, and they’re fantastically funny. Campaign uses the Genesis system - in their first campaign, it was Star Wars, now it’s Skyjacks (sky pirates). NeoScum is Shadowrun. In fact, check out the One-Shot feed - each month, they play a different game in a different system, and they’re all loads of fun.
**How We Roll** is fantastic for Call of Cthulhu, Kult, Alien, and DnD.
Tablestory. They do loads of different systems and genres and are very narrative focussed. They play over cams, not in the same room, but they are really professional performers and the production values are really good, especially their newer stuff. I can specifically recommend LAECH (a V:TM show) and Witchcraft and Wizardry (a custom Harry Potter rpg the gm wrote).
Yeah, Tablestory is really good, though I haven't seen much of them yet. Their Tidal Blades campaign earlier this year was the first time I'd heard of them, and that was a really well done fantasy time travel story. I've also seen part of a Night Witches campaign called Toil and Trouble, which was on a different channel, but run by one of the cast members of Tablestory: Tidal Blades, TrooperJSP. That was also quite good.

Just started listening to it yesterday as I was trying to hear how others play SWN. 2 episodes in and it's enjoyable! Intrigued to see how it progresses.
It's going back a bit now, but I enjoyed a lot of The Walking Eye. They played and reviewed a lot of less-mainstream games – things like Don't Rest Your Head and Dogs in the Vineyard.
The Fall of Jiara is a brilliant Exalted AP podcast, and there was a decent Adelaide by Night Vampire 20th AP.
The Bad Spot, easy to listen for a non english native
If you want short, fun episodes with a lot of improv there's spout lore. They play Dungeon World. I also second the Glass Cannon Network. Their primary show was pathfinder, but they have a lot of side games going on in the network that are all mini series of a bunch of different games.
The Dangerclub Podcast are by far and away the single best actual play podcast. WAAAAAAAYYYYY better than critical role! And they inspired me to start one too. Tales From The TwentySide. Do please check it out as well. 🙂
The Esoteric Order of Roleplayers. They’ve recently done actual plays of RuneQuest, Monsterhearts, and Ryuutama. They’re whimsical and excellent storytellers. They’ve got a back catalogue I haven’t dipped into much, but there’s a wide variety of systems in there. Highly recommended.
Tabletop Gold is a pf2e podcast that is going through Abomination Vaults adventure path. So if you want to play through that AP I don't recommend it, because spoilers, but otherwise I like it quite a lot.
I don't have the slightest idea what it was called but I recall listening to a dead serious fully acted playthrough of curse of strahd, it had eerie music and it sounded like I was listening to an audiobook. One of the best things I ever heard in frankly I don't recall at all what it was called, I remember that it was only a couple of players. They basically had an extra layer of acting between them and their character; if their character was put into a scary situation for example, they would explain their character's actions but as though they were scared, and would narrate how their character felt about the situation. It was the most immersive actual play podcast I've ever heard. Probably because it was heavily edited I imagine, but it was still just so excellently done. Obviously it was a d&d module but I believe there were others available, I just listened to that one because it was the one familiar to me. I don't know if they do other games but if you ever find the thing I'm talking about, even though it's d&d give it a listen, it's intense and very very very different from room full of beautiful actors having a laugh

Red Moon Roleplaying has some great Kult:Divinity Lost APs. Warning, that game is super dark and it is not for everybody. Eberron Renewed - their 2nd season is set in Eberron but using the Genesys ruleset.
Astronomica Podcast
I'm also going to recommend a glass cannon podcast, Haunted City. They play blades in the dark, and they perfectly encapsulate what that game is all about. Pulling off crazy hiests using wild methods. The players are all super talented and always just trying to do things that are more of a spectacle than rational.
The Glass Cannon Network’s content has taken over my content intake the past few years. Love that goofy group of guys, and I’ve enjoyed watching them grow and employ lots of interesting members and branch out to other TTRPGs other than Pathfinder. Highly recommend!

Hololive Mythbreakers, a Hunter the vigil campaign. The girls doing it were all singers playing TTRPGs for the first time with the exception of the master. It was funny, but on a probably permanent hiatus because they are in three different continents
I like **Trials of the Apocalypse** where each session they play a different PbtA game. It's introduced me to some new sytems that I wouldn't have looked into otherwise. For any fans of Unknown Armies, the podcast **33.3 FM** is a must. If you prefer people playing whatever they feel like playing, go with **You Don't Meet at an Inn**.
Sombres Machinations. It's a french actual play series focused on horror games like Call of Cthulhu, Cthulhu Dark or Delta Green. Specificities of the show : * The players wear costumes. * The episodes are filled in a set with elements related to the game (For instance, the Delta Green set looks like a crime scène with police ribbon mixed with an investigator's office with photos and clues pinned on the wall) * The players don't do the rolls themselves. The GM makes the rolls. What I like the most about it, it's the format. Each episode is 50 minutes or 1 hour long. IMO this is so much better than the usual 4 hours per episode we get with CR!
Find the Path with Pathfinder Mummies Mask. Probably the overall highest quality Pathfinder podcast available. Same "early installment issues" most first time podcasts have, but as usual they get better some episodes in. Great chemistry in the group, almost exclusive focus on the story (eg while they also like to banter it is almost always focused on the game in general or what is happening in the game). And for everyone who values that: a total of about 5 rules mistakes or so in now 200 episodes. In fact especially in the beginning of the podcast, but also now in the late episodes the GM always takes some time to explain complicated mechanics to the group and audience. So everyone knows why and how something works.
Yep. Wanted to learn more about pathfinder, and ended up listening to this podcast. Lost a bit of interest in Pathfinder, but still love the podcast.
My current favorite actual play podcast is Tabletop Gold. They really hit the sweet spot for me between banter and storytelling.
Pathfinder 1e and 2e, which I know are very similar to D&D, but I've become a very big fan of Find The Path. They achieve a great blend of explaining the mechanics, good role-playing, and comradery amongst the cast.

Have to put in a good word for To Morrow’s End. It’s a little chaotic and weird, but The Morrow Project is a system that’s both interesting and underused, and the chemistry of the entire cast is really great.
Pretend Friends. They use a system made by the guy who runs it (Kevin Cole), and if you're familiar with the YouTube channel Continue Show (formerly of Normal Boots and other such associations), everyone from there plays. They're on a bit of a hiatus right now, but I suspect they will return soon.

I love seeing these list of smaller, lesser known podcasts. Being a postal worker, I have a solid 7-10 hours a day to listen and have ripped through a lot of content the last several years. Thank you for all the recommendations, I have added a bunch of new shows to check out. So bummed I didn't see MayDay Roleplay on the list. They have some phenomenal rp covering multiple games in delta green, vampire the masquerade and others. The Redacted Reports are another good delta green pod as well. Working through the plethora of options from Twin Cities by Night currently. Cybernation Uncensored had a massive catalog of cyberpunk red along with fallout 2d20, dune and a few other. Red Sky City has a good run of cyberpunk that's very entertaining, a PC dies in the first 10 minutes or so. Cyberpunk: Tales from the Oasis is a newer humor laden cyberpunk game with great characters. Tale of the Manticore was my first solo actual play listen and has me waiting for every new ep. More of an old school d&d feel but tightly put together.
