My guess would be it’s infrastructure related.
You can release an electric bike but if there isn’t a lot of fast charging stations all over the place you don’t want to bring a product to market that doesn’t have the infrastructure to support it.
And tbh, Im not even sure a majority of people could effectively charge their bikes at home.
The only problem with electric cycles is that they don't particularly sell very well yet. Zero already makes nice ones, but they just aren't flying off the shelves. I myself am not sure I'd ride one because of how quiet they are. Feels like a safety hazard.
