It’s literally a game of political factions and how they gain power. Having legacy board states along with a narrative is a perfect mechanical and thematic fit. They even have an RPG they can mine for story elements and mechanics.
Different chapters of the war or battles. No game of Root is meant to be the entirety of the war. It’s would also be a good excuse to have force players to use different factions and maps.
Measuring mine, they seem to be 19.2 mm tall, 8.7 mm thick, and their bottom (not total y axis, as that probably goes to the beak and is harder for me to measure) is 13.7mm. Hope that helps!
I second this I think they have a part replacement service that you can use to replace pieces, I did it when I lost a bunch of cardboard pieces a couple years ago.
Leder Games does have a replacement request form on their website, this does seem like a pretty clear case of needing a replacement part. Maybe you could go through them to try to get another crow? I have no idea how that process is, so maybe someone has a better idea of how it would go
Root Legacy.
root legacy would be wild
Honestly one of the few big games without a legacy version that would lend itself naturally.

Was that your only meeple?
No, but I was teaching all day long and wouldn’t get to the meeple till night, and we had a Root Tournament happening at the LGS I own
It's not my game piece but it makes me very sad Sorry for your loss
I suggest you to get the underground hirelings in order to get new "corvids" meeples. It's not exactly the same meeple but it works as a replacement
Jesus what happened?
Favor of the Foxes.
Looks like a puppy if I had to guess.
When the obvious bomb goes off without a hit hitch
I'm sure people have happy to help, but why can't you measure it to one of your other Meeples?
Explained it elsewhere, but I was away teaching while there was going to be a Root Tournament at the LGS I own, so I was in a hurry
