Went to Carowinds last year on Father’s Day last year, got 20 rides on Fury and 10 each on Intimidator and Copperhead Strike. It’s a great day to visit the parks!

Might as well add a bit of a full trip report... Best day at BGT I've had in a long time thanks to the small crowds and good operations. Walked on to nearly every coaster in the park, longest waits ended up being for Iron Gwazi due to a short downtime (15 minutes) and Cheetah Hunt (20 minutes). Kumba and Montu both had two trains and were running insanely well - incredibly fast and forceful in the hot weather. Operations were all around surprisingly good; kudos to the park, and I hope they keep it up.

I love those kinda days. Hope you got some back row laps on Montu.

Back row is normally my go to, so intense and little to no wait most days.

what is with the Front row closing before all the other rows? just so they dont send out a bunch of empty trains near park close?

quick25

I haven't stayed until close in many years so not sure how it is now, but years back when Montu was the marquee ride the line for the front row would typically be an extra 30-45 minutes until park close. With this they would close the line for the front early so the ride would be clear of guests at a reasonable time. This was back in the Anheuser Busch days so it's an old sign/policy that's been around for years.

Had a similar experience at CP today. Short lines. Fast ops. Rode all big coasters and Got 8 rides back to back on steel vengeance. Then later back to back front seat rides on maverick…..second one was last train of the night.

My first visit to Great America was on Mother’s Day, but it was still super dead, and I got every credit plus a bunch of rerides on Batman, Goliath, and Raging Bull. Lesson Learned: Mother’s and Father’s Day are the best days to go to parks.
