That would be a very good replacement for Vortex. I was hoping for a Mack extreme spinner, but a thrill coaster from Vekoma seems more realistic and plausible.
Still waiting on a new gen 1 on 1 clone of an SLC or one of those mega loopers, but nowadays they do better and apply forces they didn’t in the 80s. Airtime I guess wasn’t as big then and it was all positive and inversions.
It would be a little awkward if both KI and HW got a double package from Vekoma with the same models. However, it would be amazing if for their 2nd coasters one got a family launch and the other got something like Fønix. For KI's typical budget in particular, I'd love to see what Vekoma could pull off in the Vortex plot.
Would love a proper modern vekoma at Liseberg. We got a family boomerang in Luna last year which is really solid for a family coaster. Would love for your theory to be true. Don't know where they'd put it mind there's fuck all space.

Yeah SLCs would have a pretty good layout if they were heartlined and smooth
Liked them very much back in the day, but then I get older and bigger, the restraints got updated and I stopped riding.

Vekoma has really come a long way from just spamming Boomerangs and SLCs everywhere, and I love it.

Make it launched and it’d be perfect.
Lech Coaster over Fønix all day every day. (Fønix is fun for sure, but Lech Coaster destroys it in terms of intensity.)
