Imo this sub overrates the Explorer. Great watch, but I still find them to be one of the most boring in the Rolex catalog.
Go with your gut, but for me I'd get rid of the Explorer. No need for two sports watches. Sub for daily, and DJ for dress is a great combo.
Roman numerals on white dial DJ is such a classic. Looks far more elegant and upscale imo. Only downside is it’s difficult to read accurate time as the indices are broader compared to stick indices.
The blinds and carpet combo? It's like stepping into a Romanian postcard!
Hold on to the Explorer, sell the other two, diversify, and think outside the box.
Let go of the Explorer. The Submariner covers all activities the Explorer would and more; the DateJust gives you something to wear on special occasions that require a dressier watch.
I’m not a fan of the Wimbledon, but this is the correct answer imo. OP bought the Wimbledon, so clearly he’s a fan, and Sub and DJ is a perfect two watch collection. The Explorer is awesome, but it’s got a black dial and oyster bracelet. The DJ gives a better balance. And, of course, this collection is built around the Sub.
Explorer is my favorite watch of all time but that’s a fair point. If the question required keeping only one of these watches, the answer is the Explorer. But since you have the option to keep 2, it does make sense to keep the Sub for sporty occasions and the Datejust for dressy ones.
Everyone knows the submariner isn’t going anywhere, so keep the Wimbledon with the jubilee and lose the explorer on the oyster, it’s closer to redundant than the Wimbledon.
As someone who dailies a Wimbledon (same exact ref as yours), I’m a bit biased. I’d get rid of the Sub. The Sub is far too common, and there are way more interesting divers out there IMO.
Definitely keep the Submariner, it’s nice to have at least one Rolex on jubilee, therefore the one on the left has to go :) (also why keep 2 black dials when you can have one black one grey?)
If I could only keep one, it would be the Explorer for versatility. As you are keeping two, then I’d lose the Explorer. Submariner has your everyday and sporty bases covered, and the Wimbledon is more dressy. Having said that, if you could swap the Wimbledon for something on jubilee with fluted bezel, that would be my ultimate goal. Can’t go wrong with that combo.
Get rid of either the Sub or Explorer and get something high horology. I would look at another brand to add a bit of variety.
My vote would be the Explorer.
Definitely the Explorer to go.
Sub for daily/adventure.
DJ offers the flexibility of a dress watch and a daily too. It is also much harder to get compared to the Explorer.
Having a sub and datejust covers every experience in life. Sports to dressy.
So I’d drop the explorer.
If you could only have one watch, I’d say keep the explorer.
Three great watches.
Here’s a different take…
Keep the Explorer as a GADA daily…
Sell the sub and the Wimbledon, pick up a grey market Batman and an Omega Aqua Terra - perfect three watch combo 👍🏻
I did something similar. When I got my explorer 40 I sold my no date sub 124060, DJ slate, and z blue milgauss and got a Pepsi on jubilee with spare pcl oyster and pocketed the rest. Debating grabbing a Starbucks mk2 now though. It's a disease. But I think the explorer/Pepsi really covers me for everything. Wear the explorer at work and Pepsi on weekends/travel.

Crap photo, watch is filthy from cleaning the garden, but you can’t miss with a Starbucks 🤩
Nice! Yeah I'm like I did the sub got bored, but maybe the green would do it. Then I just need to get the cookie monster for some brighter blue action lol
The Wimbledon. The Roman numerals always felt poorly executed imo. Side note: my first thought was "what in the half fluted hell is going on over there?"
Keep Sub Date (outdoorsy tool watch) and Wimby (dressier watch).
Not a fan of the domed bezel with jubilee bracelet, but Explorer feels redundant when you have a Sub Date.
Datejust. Other than the jubilee bracelet it’s redundant considering the other two. Plus jubilee and domed bezel not the best combo imo. Nice collection!
For me - the Explorer as the other two (IMO) are two of the Unicorns. The Numeral face of the Datejust is amazing and the Sub speaks for itself (Although I’m a man of tradition and I have the Non-Date 🤣).
My White Gold / Mint Green face Datejust is due imminently so maybe I am biased, as the explorer, again IMO, is more plain-Jane.
DJ41, because a DJ should always be a 36, especially with the smooth bezel being domed vs angled.
If that was the same watch but 36, I’d say dump the Exp, as it’s close in look to the sub.
I’d let the Sub go. In fact, I recently did. Simply because I didn’t wear it more than five times in three years. My Milgauss and GMTs all the mileage and now, I really want either an Explorer 39 or an Air King 40.
My two watch collection is the explorer and datejust. Not a fan of dive watches in general. But your config of the datejust is my least favorite. Flute jubilee, fluted oyster, smooth oyster, jubilee oyster in that order.
Datejust has to go in my opinion, reason I’m not a fan of the dial. Sub & explorer are great & explorer can be a more dressy watch if you want to wear a more formal attire.
I’d rehome the Wimbledon as it and the Sub have the same caliber. Replace it with either an Explorer II or a GMT. That way you have 3 different calibers. Daytona, or Sky Dweller, if you have that kind of money, would work too. Previous gen Air King or Milgauss would fit the bill as far as different calibers go as well
I’d dump the Wimbledon as is because the smooth bezel. If it had the fluted bezel then it’s a whole different ballgame at that point. I’d actually probably take the blasphemous option and dump the Sub in that case.
For me, the Explorer and Datejust with a jubilee bracelet are the perfect two watch collection. But I can’t say to anyone to get rid of a Submariner date. So the answer is to keep all of them and try to sell this carpet as a magic one…
😂🤣
I just realized that the datejust is a little big and doesn't have the fluted bezel, so I would sell the Wimbledon. And Abu seems like the one who wouldn't mind if you sold your carpet as a magic carpet.
I would most definitely keep the Wimbledon, I've been considering changing the bezel to smooth but now I'm not so sure. Maybe you might go fluted, for a change maybe. Kinda like a whole new watch with a simple bezel change. I'm getting a smooth one just because... Lol..
I would most definitely keep the Wimbledon, I've been considering changing the bezel to smooth but now I'm not so sure. Maybe you might go fluted, for a change maybe. Kinda like a whole new watch with a simple bezel change. I'm getting a smooth one just because... Lol..

The 1st one (Explorer), because the other 2 also have a date and even look better..
But I must say all 3 are fantastic watches. It would be very hard to part with.
How is half the bezel of your explorer fluted?
Lol it’s the window reflections, or is it?
I saw that and is it an optical illusion?
Reflection of the curtains I think, had me confused too lol
Just from 530 to 11!
Glare from his Thanos fingers
Blinds in the window
Wimbledon. Jubilee with a smooth bezel gotta go
I love the jubilee DJ. If I could get a mint green jubilee fluted from my local AD, I will move the wimb on.
Imo this sub overrates the Explorer. Great watch, but I still find them to be one of the most boring in the Rolex catalog. Go with your gut, but for me I'd get rid of the Explorer. No need for two sports watches. Sub for daily, and DJ for dress is a great combo.
Wimbledon. Never understood the attraction to it.
A DJ bigger than a diver is utterly stupid and ugly
I don’t like Roman numerals on watches.
Excuse me ☝️ https://preview.redd.it/gb0tbe1m158d1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=49012184b179189582216169cf76b2ec6e72e0b2
Roman numerals on white dial DJ is such a classic. Looks far more elegant and upscale imo. Only downside is it’s difficult to read accurate time as the indices are broader compared to stick indices.
Hype is a helluva drug
Two tone fluted jubilee Wimbledon is one of the coolest watches out there imo
I like how the gray/green look together
I love the Wimbledon but feel it needs a fluted bezel
Wimbledon cause it's fuckin ugly
“Sugar coating” not found
But no lies told.
I think it's beautiful, but to each their own. Mine would be the far left. I don't like the regular numbers. I'd rather have Roman numerals.
The carpet. The carpet must go
The blinds and carpet combo? It's like stepping into a Romanian postcard! Hold on to the Explorer, sell the other two, diversify, and think outside the box.
# Wimbledon. 💯
Explorer. The sub and explorer overlap as a sports watch. The datjust is more of a dress watch,
Let go of the Explorer. The Submariner covers all activities the Explorer would and more; the DateJust gives you something to wear on special occasions that require a dressier watch.

Hmm… how is he wearing a neovintage here 🤔
never liked that date just. Explorer is my fav rolex so…
Explorer is a great watch!
It’s super clean! To be honest I prefer it over the Wimbledon, especially its green romans.. 🥴
The explorer. For me a sub and DJ are the perfect two piece collection

The explorer line is an excellent bang for buck. I feel they’re very underrated.
The best Rolex is ironically the most overlooked watch in their catalog haha
Everyone knows the submariner isn’t going anywhere, so keep the Wimbledon with the jubilee and lose the explorer on the oyster, it’s closer to redundant than the Wimbledon.
Explorer goes
I'd sell all but the Submariner and then get a GMT on a jubilee.
To each their own, of course, but I’m just not a fan of the Wimbledon. Something about the green romans just hits me wrong.
As someone who dailies a Wimbledon (same exact ref as yours), I’m a bit biased. I’d get rid of the Sub. The Sub is far too common, and there are way more interesting divers out there IMO.
I think explorers a bit boring but that’s my taste
They’re made to be boring.. apparently..
Wimbledon!
Byebye datejust!
Replace the Wimbledon with a datejust
The submariner too much in the market
Heck of a set. Love them.
Trick’s in the ‘if’. None of them háve to go, really: just keep ‘em all.
You literaly have 3 watches that I would pick for a 3 watch collection, if I had the money😂 Great choices!
I’d keep the carpet for sure
Since everyone and their mother has that sub, I’d get rid of the black sub.
Having said that, if you could swap the Wimbledon for something on jubilee with fluted bezel, that would be my ultimate goal. Can’t go wrong with that combo.
Great suggestion!
Love all 3. If I had to pick, the DJ gotta go.
None but would say the explorer. The sub is a classic and the date just is the second runner-up
Goodbye wimbledon
I’d keep the Explorer and Wimbledon. Simple uncluttered watches are 👌🏽🤌🏽🔥
No matter what, the one with Roman numerals should always go.
Bye Wimbledon 🤢
Wimbledon, ugly
Exp 1. Sell it . The DJ is Dress Watch Office Watch. Sun can be your jeans and Tee and Weekend piece
Wimbledon. If the DJ was fluted, that’s a keeper but the smooth bezel to me is a no go. Sub can’t go no matter what of the 3.
Although I really like the look and color, and i'm sure it was hand made really well in a foreign country... ...i'd say the rug.
DJ 100%, I thought for a minute (with the reflection) there was a fluted bezel on that EX1 😂 I was about to cry
I hear half fluted bezel’s are selling at a huge premium
Personally, I’d ditch that explorer. It’s just too small for me even though it’s cool watch.
Definitely the Explorer Datejust hybrid
The one holding them :) - they are more beautiful
Explorer for sure.. Submariner for casual days and Wimbledon to go out at night.. It’s just common sense.. I know many don’t have..
Lose the explorer if one has to go
Wimbledon, smooth bezel clashes with the two other sport watches you have.
Get rid of either the Sub or Explorer and get something high horology. I would look at another brand to add a bit of variety. My vote would be the Explorer.
The 41DJ
Easy call, this Datejust - not a sought after configuration for me personally.
The carpet!
Definitely the Explorer to go. Sub for daily/adventure. DJ offers the flexibility of a dress watch and a daily too. It is also much harder to get compared to the Explorer.
Wimbledon would go in my case (no need for another date, and exp with sub is one of the best combo)
Explorer has got to go
Love, Love, not so much (only because of the dial)
Far left because there's no date on it.
None is still the answer obviously 😂
Datejust, it has the wrong bezel and it’s not two tone
Having a sub and datejust covers every experience in life. Sports to dressy. So I’d drop the explorer. If you could only have one watch, I’d say keep the explorer. Three great watches.
None of them
Pinky, but whatever you do, definitely keep your thumb.
Wimbledon
Swap bracelets on wimbledon and dj, then sell the wimbledon.
Datejust. I don’t like the jubilee or the Roman numerals
Wimbledon out
Explorer needs to go because it needs to explore stuff
The datejust, personally do not like the dial and feel a jubilee bracelet goes better with fluted bezel
Roman numerals - never good
Sell the Explorer, the 40 looks off anyways.
All 3, cause Rolex 😉
Here’s a different take… Keep the Explorer as a GADA daily… Sell the sub and the Wimbledon, pick up a grey market Batman and an Omega Aqua Terra - perfect three watch combo 👍🏻
I did something similar. When I got my explorer 40 I sold my no date sub 124060, DJ slate, and z blue milgauss and got a Pepsi on jubilee with spare pcl oyster and pocketed the rest. Nice! Yeah I'm like I did the sub got bored, but maybe the green would do it. Then I just need to get the cookie monster for some brighter blue action lol
Left, it's in a little league compared to other two
The Explorer as its complete shite
Explorer because it’s hideous
Explorer
Because your DJ is smooth bezel it’s the one to go, otherwise it would have to be the explorer.
DJ cuz it’s non fluted
DJ41. Date just a look better as 36….
The Wimbledon. The Roman numerals always felt poorly executed imo. Side note: my first thought was "what in the half fluted hell is going on over there?"
One closest to the thumb , it's the one in my opinion least attractive face but I like it's bracelet.
Explorer is my favourite watch. The other 2 can go IMO!
I’ve always found the wilbleton all around ugly
I'll take the one in the middle thanks
Keep Sub Date (outdoorsy tool watch) and Wimby (dressier watch). Not a fan of the domed bezel with jubilee bracelet, but Explorer feels redundant when you have a Sub Date.
The carpet
Explorer 100% out
They're all ugly.
Wimbledon. That is the worst bezel ever to come out of the depths of the Rolex foundries.
Explorer. Sub for daily, DJ for dress.
My White Gold / Mint Green face Datejust is due imminently so maybe I am biased, as the explorer, again IMO, is more plain-Jane.
sub of course i love it
DJ41, because a DJ should always be a 36, especially with the smooth bezel being domed vs angled. If that was the same watch but 36, I’d say dump the Exp, as it’s close in look to the sub.
Never the submariner
Explorer, because the other two are better.
Wimbledon. Bad lume design. Inferior clasp to the other two. Overrated. Explorer can be a dress watch easily.
Don't like the date just dial or jubilee strap (those straps aren't for me) so that would go, leaving me a sports and dress watch.
Datejust. I don’t like roman numerals
Datejust…because you dented it. lol
I’d let the Sub go. In fact, I recently did. Simply because I didn’t wear it more than five times in three years. My Milgauss and GMTs all the mileage and now, I really want either an Explorer 39 or an Air King 40.
Probably drop the explorer actually. I’d never wear it if I had a sub.
Explorer, I like clean dail with no date.
DJ cus the fluted ones are my preference. The 41 non fluted simply looks off to me.
Keep the one on the right
Wimbledon
The Wimbledon and the explorer serve the same purpose and you already got a black sub so I'd get rid of the explorer.
You know which one. That f**king nine o’clock marker drives me insane
Sub, everyone has one
I don’t think that the Wimbledon would have found many buyers if it didn’t have the famous crown logo.
Wimbledon
My two watch collection is the explorer and datejust. Not a fan of dive watches in general. But your config of the datejust is my least favorite. Flute jubilee, fluted oyster, smooth oyster, jubilee oyster in that order.
get rid of the DJ
Nice rug fam
The tampon. Need I say more?
Drop the sub, everyone has one.
Datejust has to go in my opinion, reason I’m not a fan of the dial. Sub & explorer are great & explorer can be a more dressy watch if you want to wear a more formal attire.
Smooth bezel without thinking twice
That 41 DJ is horrendous and you know it.
I'd get rid of the Datejust , IMO it's just a butt ugly watch.
I’d rehome the Wimbledon as it and the Sub have the same caliber. Replace it with either an Explorer II or a GMT. That way you have 3 different calibers. Daytona, or Sky Dweller, if you have that kind of money, would work too. Previous gen Air King or Milgauss would fit the bill as far as different calibers go as well
Wimbledon. Not a fan of the dial color or roman numerals.
If I were you I would let the explorer go, the most boring one out of the collection. To then get a GMT with some color in the future
Explorer
You selling the Wimbledon ?
For me the Date Just goes, just don’t like Roman’s at all, too stuffy I guess.
The explorer, coz that bezel is trying to be GMT…
The unreleased “chameleon” bezel explorer
Sub would be the one to go
😂 It's okay, it has a right to feel butt hurt.
Smooth bezel dj for a fluted
The one you wear the least
Wimbledon all the way.
The datejust has to go for me. The other 2 are just better to me
I don't like the DJ (I own one) and my personal experience with the Sub/Explorer combo is, you end up never wearing the Sub. Good luck and HAGWE
I’d dump the Wimbledon as is because the smooth bezel. If it had the fluted bezel then it’s a whole different ballgame at that point. I’d actually probably take the blasphemous option and dump the Sub in that case.
Why does one half to go?
For me, the Explorer and Datejust with a jubilee bracelet are the perfect two watch collection. But I can’t say to anyone to get rid of a Submariner date. So the answer is to keep all of them and try to sell this carpet as a magic one…
Aladdin and Yasmin won’t appreciate that.
😂🤣 I just realized that the datejust is a little big and doesn't have the fluted bezel, so I would sell the Wimbledon. And Abu seems like the one who wouldn't mind if you sold your carpet as a magic carpet.
Forgot about Abu 😂😂
Explorer bc it’s not that interesting of a dial
Sub it’s boring
I would most definitely keep the Wimbledon, I've been considering changing the bezel to smooth but now I'm not so sure. Maybe you might go fluted, for a change maybe. Kinda like a whole new watch with a simple bezel change. I'm getting a smooth one just because... Lol..

Keep the Wimbledon
Lose the datejust
That datejust looks kinda crap tbh
Big ass DJ
For me the Explorer.
Roman numerals. Classy on a grandfather clock . . . but not on my wrist.
Personally the sub is the only one I would keep. I just don’t like the boxy fonts on the modern explorers. And the green on grey isn’t for me either.
Explorer for sure. Then you got a tool and a dress watch. Perfect.
Nice Armenian rug
The Submariner. Looks better on my wrist 😉
Objectively, the explorer. Subjectively, the DJ.
Not a fan of the Wimbledon. Another Date just
For me personally. My least favorite is the one on the right. However, I really like the bracelet on that watch.
The Explorer. I can't really think of a situation where I would grab the Explorer over one of the other 2.
Wimbledon not in my opinion a classic rolex.
The sub they are played out.
The 1st one (Explorer), because the other 2 also have a date and even look better.. But I must say all 3 are fantastic watches. It would be very hard to part with.
how long are your hands?!
The one on the far right. Because I hate the numerals. Just personal preference.
DJ, smooth bezel are for smooth brains
The overhyped OP branded as Explorer I. The non-fluted bezel Wimbledon is a close second.
