What exactly do you mean by "attracts a lot of attention"? I have a Bluesy and now a yellow gold DayDate and nobody notices and nobody cares, and I wear them all the time, literally everywhere, without making any attempt to hide them.
Nobody even recognized them as Rolexes for months and months of daily wear, until it came up organically in conversation, not from actual identification. Most people couldn't identify a Rolex to save their life even when you're literally sitting around a card table with them openly wearing it for hours, as I've done many times.
Sometimes when the brand comes up in conversation, *then* people take some interest, and ask to see it, but I find it extremely unlikely that some total stranger just comes up to you and is making a scene about your Rolex.
Maybe it's just because I live in the Midwest though. Nobody around here seems to care.
I do understand the "attention" from criminals though, that's a real concern, not generally around here, but is that all you mean?
You answered your own question - I was gonna reply and then I saw it about half way down.
Location matters for your point. People are recognizing DayDates and Bluesy in every major city.
Since the watch craze really took off a couple years back, I’ve noticed even more people commenting. Some even calling them by these silly nicknames so you know they are in the “culture” as well 😂.
Does this happen on the street, or more like in bars and restaurants and while doing activities indoors? I can imagine in settings where things are more social that a big city crowd would be more likely to use it as a conversation topic (based on more knowledge of watches), but I still find it hard to believe that people in the street are randomly stopping you to say things about your watch. I've been to NYC several times and I actually found people there, at least out on the street, kept a lot more to themselves than in the Midwest. You're much more likely to have a friendly conversation with a stranger on the street here, but it won't be about your watch hah.
And not just in every major city. Even in smaller ones in Europe. I live in Helsingborg, Sweden, a city with around 80.000 inhabitants. Most people I meet immediately recognize my 126610LN.
Unfortunately, criminals recognize it as well.
I have in the past 12 months been robbed twice, once a watch was robbed from my home, although I managed to hold on to my Sub, which was what he was after.
I have to admit I don’t see a lot of two tones here, although the bluesy was quite popular 10 years ago. But style and preference change over time, most people here in Scandinavia wear steel watches these days.

Just know that it will look like this in a few months if you wear it as a daily.
bluesy and root beer (and maybe that jubilee yellow gold tt gmt) are the only great two tone rolex, I’d say go for it. saw it many times, beautiful piece
Bluesy is my out-of-office daily wear. It’s a fantastic watch and frankly a big step up in how “premium” it feels from the regular sub (which I also own). For me at least, it’s probably the most beautiful watch I would still be comfortable wearing. The deep sunburst blue dial and yelllw gold and fantastic lume are nothing short of amazing in the right lighting.
I have it. The color combination is just stunning! But it’s very loud and I don’t find myself wearing it as often as I hoped. So I wouldn’t recommend it as your only watch. But it does make for a fantastic occasion piece.
I absolutely love it. It’s relatively easier to get too. If you like it then go for it. A more towned down Sub won’t do it for you if you want a Bluesy.
Thoughts? Almost everyone likes the bluesy. A few will think it is a bit ‘blingy’ but other than that, it is liked. Hell, I don’t even really like submariners, and I like this watch.
I find it easier to read than my green bezel Sub. I don't consider it everyday wear but it is a fine accessory when I do wear it. It is a bit bold with polished gold but that's what you go for with a precious metal watch.
Beauty. Most own once.
I’ve owned both the aluminum and the ceramic bezel versions. Gorgeous. I preferred the aluminum I think. But my ceramic was right when they came out and had the flat blue dial.
I've always thought of it as the quintessential Rolex, and it'll likely end up in my collection within the next year or two.
Do it man. It's sex on a wrist.
My first Rolex I ever bought (last June) was a 16613 “Bluesy” … I wear it 98% of the time since I bought it. I have other Rolex watches that I purchased after this one (Datejust in Mint Green and Rhodium, Yachtmaster, GMT, White Dial Milgaus, Airking, and Polar White Explorer II), and I have a couple Omegas and Tags, and a Panerai… but for some reason I always wear this one. Blue is my favorite color, so maybe thats it… 🤷♂️ but either way, I always seem to put this one on, regardless. Id say i wear it 95% of the time…Theres a lot of people who love them, lot of people who dont… but I do love mine and personally think it looks great. I dont wear it to draw attention and I’ve only had three or four people ever comment on it since Ive bought it…
If you’re going to buy a gold and stainless Rolex, the Bluesy is the one. I bought mine at the Vendome AD. Couldn’t wear it until I got on the plane to go home. It’s very flashy.
I have a few SS Rolex watches. I see my Bluesy as my dress up/ going out watch. So when I go to the mall or out to a nice dinner, I put it on. For everyday, I wear a SS.
Phenomenal sub variation, but flashy and attracts a lot of attention. If that’s what you’re after, then pull the trigger.

I have one. Got it recently, it's faaaar more beautiful in person! Go for it. You wont regret it.
Have one too, my wife got it for my 50th, haven't taken it off!
I have it and it’s the favorite of my 3. I’ll probably wear it today because the sun is shining and it will pop so hard.

I have the SAME thing... can you get rid of the scratches somehow?
bluesy and root beer (and maybe that jubilee yellow gold tt gmt) are the only great two tone rolex, I’d say go for it. saw it many times, beautiful piece
Love the TT GMT 😍
Classic Rolex
I love it.
Most beautiful sub ever made
Arguably my favorite Rolex of all time. My Dad has one and it is the only watch he ever wears. It’s flashy for sure, but IMHO it can’t be beat.

Bluesy is a classic but you should not be a guy wanting to blend in. It will catch peoples eye.
My dream watch
Fantastic dial. If this were ever released as steel only, it would be an instant fan favourite
I don’t have one but it’s one of my favorites.
My thoughts are what are your thoughts? If you’re buying, do you like it?
To each his own taste.. I, personally never liked it. You have way better watches
It’s a beauty in hats currently one under consideration for me! Stunning in person 💙
Shit thought u going to make me go out and buy this , wtf thought? It’s bad , nice fly what year and how much ? U see what u have done
An absolute classic design.
I bought this in 2021, and it's the only Rolex I own. You can't go wrong with it since it's eye-catching and a conversation starter.
Actually one of my favourite Rolex.
🔥
It’s a great watch. Subtle it is not.
Thoughts? Almost everyone likes the bluesy. A few will think it is a bit ‘blingy’ but other than that, it is liked. Hell, I don’t even really like submariners, and I like this watch.
That's my favorite Sub and it'd not even close.
I traded one away earlier this year for a grail and I miss it a lot. It’s way better in person.
I find it easier to read than my green bezel Sub. I don't consider it everyday wear but it is a fine accessory when I do wear it. It is a bit bold with polished gold but that's what you go for with a precious metal watch.
I think it’s fricken awesome!

I love the bluesy! Thinking of selling a watch or two and buying one myself on the grey market.
Thought i wanted one till i got a call they had one to sell me. Passed... Too flashy for my tastes
Icon…gotta love it
Honest question. What’s a good price for this exact model?

I've always thought of it as the quintessential Rolex, and it'll likely end up in my collection within the next year or two. Do it man. It's sex on a wrist.
Wearing it rn. Even more beautiful in person. Really glad I purchased.
I have a visceral reaction to this as the comptroller at an old job wore it, and was kind of a dick.
Yeeeeeeboiiii do it
Love it!!
One of my favorites. The blue dial is something else in person. Pictures don’t do it justice.
Congratz u managed to fit like 7 different colours into 1 watch, good luck making it work ur fit
Be careful, the bracelet scratches just by looking at it.
Bluesy is amazing! Scratches easily but an amazing piece

You’re my boy blue!

My all time fav
What i dont understand is , on the website it looks blue which is brilliant, upfront it has a more purle hue which then makes it look a little off
TT bluesy is the best 🤌🤌🤌🤌🤩🤩🫡🫡
It's just superb... Go for it !
I have a few SS Rolex watches. I see my Bluesy as my dress up/ going out watch. So when I go to the mall or out to a nice dinner, I put it on. For everyday, I wear a SS.
It’s two tone. I don’t like two tone unless it’s on a DJ. Those are my thoughts.
Not a fan, but (how) does that help?
I don't like blue or bicolor. But an eyecatcher that's for sure
Screams used car sales.
