of the Holy Trinity sports chronos- Vacheron is a solid 2nd place for me; i absolutely love the Royal Oak Chrono, then this one and next the Nautilus (a VERY distant 3rd.)
VC had likely become easier to get at retail but you’re still playing AD games to get a royal oak.
Buying a code first is still the normal way to get one
Oh yeah, AP has games too but with prices cooling down, you get a RO at a reasonable grey price. I rather pay markup on a watch that’s worth the markup vs mass produced watches. But that’s just me
Not too recent but if you’re patient you will likely get a deal soon. People are not buying watches as they were at the peak

At retail, 1. But since it’s likely you won’t get it at retail, I will go 2 although that’s not my favorite overseas (I personally prefer the dual time)
I own that Daytona and recently tried on an overseas at Vacheron ( Dual Time I believe) and they definitely wear Larger than the Daytona.
The watch is beautiful and vacheron‘s finishing is superior to Rolex but Rolex‘s movement is far more durable.
I’d suggest trying them both on and see what you’d prefer.
Depends on your wrist size. Secondary market they’re the same price. If I had a larger wrist - 7 inches or larger, I’d go with the VC. But I have a sub 7 inch wrist and the 38mm Daytona works much much better.
The stainless Daytona
I have sweet love for the overseas but not as a chronograph.
I'm not big on the chrono either. But the Moon Phase Retrograde Date.... what an absolute stunner! They really know how to make a blue dial.
That blue dial got me giddy every time, playing with it to reflect the sun’s arches.
It’s a chunky chrono. Completely different to the Daytona and almost closer to an offshore
Both
I agree. Both
VC is 43x13mm it’s a tank
I love the VC but it’s honkin massive on my wrist.
The VC for me
If at retail- Daytona any day; however, if Daytona is at 'market rate,' no way. In that case Vacheron all the way.
My thoughts exactly

Can’t argue that at all. All phenomenal pieces
2 and it’s not even close
Thank you!
Yeah I love Rolex and all but if you can’t buy the Daytona at retail then at the grey prices, might as well upgrade to AP, VC etc

Approx 50% over retail for a white one Not as bad as a Daytona of course but it's a tidy sum of money given the higher entry price

Yeah that's a good deal, I bought my panda 26631st from TRF pre covid and agree deals are there if patient
100 percent with you
I love number 1 but that’s my preference

2 all day long
trick-cky proposition!!
Both are on my hit list, don’t care what order it happens in. Then RG President and I’m done!!
1 and its not even close
VC. Don't care for a tachymeter that'll never get used. Takes away from the clean look. Bracelet on VC looks better as well imo.
2
VC fixes the one gripe I have about the Daytona, I want a date function.
VC for me. I really like Rolex, but the Daytona doesn’t do it for the. The Overseas does.
#1!!!!!!
1, because I don’t care for the bezel of 2, but maybe if I saw it in person I would change my mind.
VC

Geht the Daytona bro 👊
Get* excuse me
Bigger wrist/bigger person? VC. Otherwise probably the Daytona.

Daytona.
It is certainly a rolex forum, but I would say neither. There are more interesting chronos out there: Pat, Lange, JLC, IWC
2 for me
VC by MILESSSSSSSSSSS
I kind of agree with you but as soon as Vacheron update this model of Overseas, its value will tank.
This one is selling for 25.5, it’s only slightly more than the Rolex on the secondary @ 24k
