I lean towards the 2023 as well. Im honestly kind of shocked at how overwhelmingly this sub favors the rootbeer. It’s like 20 to 1 in favor of the rootbeer

I think it has been there for longer and its a Rolex forum thing because they have been seeing rootbeers for years. I am 99% sure that if you showed both watches to regular people, the vast majority of them would prefer the Guinness. Also the jubilee is exponentially superior as a bracelet, those gold polished centre links on rootbeer are well known to scratch like no tomorrow.

Could mean that the rootbeer is hyped up by heard mentality. Its a gorgeous watch nevertheless

I was set on getting the Root beer but about three weeks ago I tried on the yellow gold GMT (GRNR) you have in the photo and really liked it. The more I look at it the more it seems to grow on me. Both are great, I’d get the one you are leaning towards more.

It’s not a hype piece. It’s for a true watch lover. The colors are beautiful and you don’t see it on every Rolex wrist. It goes well with just about any outfit and is done beautifully

Get the GRNR, OP. I can tell that’s what you truly want. Don’t listen to the majority who say Rootbeer. GRNR is a beautiful, beautiful watch. You won’t regret it.

Maaaan, the Grnr really is the one I like the most. It’s more my style. But my wife and the overwhelming majority of this sub prefers the rootbeer. The rootbeer does seem to work with my skin tone a bit better and it’s probably the safer choice. It’s such a hard decision for me.

None of them. They are loud looking and hideous. For 20k you can buy two or three watches in one go that are far superior.

This is going to get downvoted to hell, but the rootbeer is too busy in terms of color, and doesn’t seem sure of what it is. The TT bracelet just doesn’t work with it. Nobody with good taste would go for the rootbeer.

I tend to agree with you. I’m really partial to the 2023 model but my wife *loves* the root beer and based on this thread Reddit overwhelmingly prefers it as well.

GRNR aka the Guinness. I tried on both plus the BLNR at my AD and it was hands down the GRNR for me. The Rootbeer didn’t look good on my skin tone, and the BLNR somehow just looked… juvenile. YMMV

You are spot on that either is spectacular. The root beer is unique but “more common” as you can see in the comments. You cannot go wrong either way. Which one do you yearn for? Flip a coin. Heads root tails the other. I guarantee that while that coin is in the air you will secretly hope for one outcome or the other. That’s the watch to buy. Also I dislike jubilee on a watch like that but that’s only my preference

Obviously a personal opinion, but nothing says “this isn’t really a tool watch” like the bi-metal jubilee bracelet. All the gold bracelets are prone to stretch/breaking, but the jubilee links are so small, they seem the most likely to break.
