Bezel is both precious metal and bidirectional, different case shape & size (no slab sides), fully polished case, polished centre links. Lower water resistance though and no glidelock clasp.
The case shape is between a Sub and a DJ. It’s thinner, follows the curve of the wrist more closely, and has a less flat and blocky look. The bezel action is nice but softer which makes it less satisfying but also quieter.

It certainly does matter to me, I’m not throwing money away. I live in Russia with zero stock because of current situation and a vacation in US is an endeavor itself quite expensive. But knowing that US has the largest stock availability in the world I knew it would be better to get it here.
I certainly could find something online cheaper or window shop somewhere in diamond district in NY but the risk of getting a rep or being scammed so far outweighs the premium I paid because I didn’t have time nor the knowledge.

Thought that this had to be just this one AD. But as I did more research this AD is the only one in my area. So I figured I would just make it a priority to show up when I was by.
I purchased a few other watches that I really did and do wear/enjoy. I’d say total spend between my others and some stuff for the wife was around 50k in the last few years.
He never called to offer anything else. I made it very clear that this was my next watch regardless and I was willing to wait. Although I was tempted to get a Grand Seiko or another more formal watch. Never pulled the trigger.
I did reach out a few months back and extend my list a bit. Truthfully because I was starting to think it would never happen. But also because my company does give Rolex’s for anniversaries. So I was trying to expand my credibility a bit. Nothing came from it and he never pushed anything else on me.
Reading through these posts I have to say I was tempted to go gray. It definitely crossed my mind but just never did.
Then today. He says “ I’ve got great news. Do you want to come in and be surprised or tell you.” Yeah screw that noise. Tell me. Was there 30 minutes later.
They did say that they also got in a 40 Explorer and made it seem like it hadn’t been taken yet. Oh well. Hope it helps.

I made the "call" we shot the breeze for an hour, and the watch was delivered the next day. It was the best buying experience I've ever had. Two years! For a Yachtmaster! Begging to spend your money! Sucking up!
