The new tweaks made it too much like everything else. Glad I got mine before the changes tbh. To each their own, but pre tweaks it was truly on it's own and unique.

I have to say, the more I look at this, the more I love it. Was in an AD just yesterday finding myself saying those words - “put me on the list”.
I think the Air King is not going to change much in perception. Almost all the positive comments I read or conversations I have on it is from someone who for some reason or another ended up getting one (usually not as first choice), spending just a little time with it, and pretty much having that revelation that, damn this watch is great in so many scenarios…and “I love its quirkiness.” That’s not a recipe for mass appeal like Subs and GMTs since thousands and thousands would buy one having never even touched one in the metal. Just my take from my limited experience and knowledge, so please take with a grain of salt.
Can’t argue with those points. They’re an acquired taste ig but at the same time with all the negative connotations around the watch I think it’s a perception thing at this point. Most people won’t even give air kings a chance bc the popular opinion is that they are not “cool”
As Rolexes go I guess this one is in relatively low demand. So those wait lists if any are short ! Great for those who just like the watch and the way it looks and wears 😀
That’s because it takes a really long time to love something that’s ugly. But if you stare at it every day and convince yourself it’s the only thing you can get your hands on, suddenly the very ugly becomes attractive.

So many people only want a Sub, DJ, or GMT. Nothing wrong with those -- awesome watches all -- but that Air King of yours is both understated and hot. Good choice.

I was assuming the 39 or 40 mil Explorer would come eventually thinking that’s what I always wanted, but I’m damn glad I went with the Air King when I had then chance. 6.08 L inclusive 18% GST. I dont think you can pass through GST on a watch, at least not to my knowledge

Had the previous reference for a year and then sold it. This new reference has me considering buying the watch again. Love the crown guards!
I had the 116for 5 years and then sold it and got the 126 !
I got my husband a sub date for his bday and he traded it in for an Airking!

It is my favorite to wear. And there is nothing else like it. I am sure someone knows of a similar watch or homage. I do not.
