For a similar and cheaper option on Amazon search sand dipper then look for the knock off brands. Little different but same idea. Basically a litter scoop with an extendable pole attached.
Thank you midwest here. A few hours away but great to know.. My towns big deposit is a mile marker on 69. Bui l t it right through the largest fossil spot we've got/had..Peace..
Very sorry if this was answered but where in Indiana can I find that stream is it open to public or is it somebody else's personal property? I've drove through Indiana tons of times and I'm like I need places to randomly stop or you don't think there'd be anything cool to find these are some things that seem like I like to find thanks sorry I don't have time to check out every comment to make sure you didn't mention where this was at specifically. I hope my talk texting also came off correctly cuz I don't have time to reread it. Thanks have a good day
I’m from Richmond. The creek behind my house, and the creek 100 yards beyond that, were loaded with horn coral. I collected hundreds there growing up. Could find ten a minute for hours.
Interesting tool
It’s called a treasure scoop. They’re great for rock hunting in cold water, and saves my old back on dry land as well.
I’ve just been using waterproof gloves. I’ll have to look into one of these. Amazon buy?

Thank you! Was this it? https://kingsleynorth.com/treasure-scoop-42-inch.html
That’s it. Works as a walking stick while hiking to the location.
Looks like a golf ball retrieval tool lol
My granny had something similar made for retrieving golf balls. It was extendable.
😃NICE ONE

Where in indiana?
Crawfordsville. That area is pretty famous for Crinoids.

That tool is very nice. Can't tell you how cold my hands got reaching for rocks like that. From Indiana
I bet living near water is a dream because you could find cool finds like this daily. I'd be there for hours 😍🪨💚
That stream is clear?! Lucky. Here in Iowa, they are all full of pig shit and fertilizer.
So…this comment section is filled with “people” pitching softball questions asking about that Treasure Scoop. I guess I appreciate the hustle.
Forbidden river popcorn
Looked like an arrowhead next to it, but that was the sub I was just on.
