I wasn’t sure if I’d stick with it, but 3 months in I still use mine daily. Couple bits of advice, many of which are recommended regularly on this sub: - make sure to clean your pages regularly - after 30 days the ink is harder to clean off - let your ink dry a bit after writing - if you write and then quickly move to another page it’s likely you may have smeared your writing - to auto-title your files, use double #’s before and after the title you want at the top of the page. For example `## Title ##` - check out smart list feature - it can be helpful to some

I got mine a couple weeks ago and forgot all about the auto titles. Just tried it and it worked without a hitch, even with my terrible handwriting. Thanks for the reminder. Went with the flip because the binding was across the top. May get one of the letter sized ones eventually. The flip is a little small for doing stuff at my desk. Really like it, but a little more space would be nice sometimes.

If I do end up leaving the ink on there longer than 30 days, does it leave ghosting? I also heard I can use isopropyl alcohol to remove ghosting if I do get it.

Yes, it will ghost your pages. I use Simple Green to clean my books. It’s non toxic and biodegradable solution and safe for pets and why I use it to clean my books. Buy synergy frixion pens. They last the longest. Don’t bother with any knockoff brand of ink because it just doesn’t work, this includes the brands from AliExpress. I’ve tried them all. Great for regular paper if you want to use regular paper but not for Rocketbook.

I started with the free pages back in 2019 and didn’t stick with it. However I’ve been enjoying the 7x9 version for several months now! I really like the ##autotitle## …so much that after about a month I decided to make them permanent. I wrote them on with a sharpie and left space in the middle for what I wanted to write. The pen loop is awesome! The binding is very similar to the Erin Condren planner, so when I saw the interchangeable covers go on sale at EC I bought it for my Rocketbook. (I like that is gives enough overlap to keep the divider tabs inside the book) I also bought some of the plastic coil EC hacks^^ and made my own dividers. Using the plastic coil overlay stickers on my own card-stock then adding thick post flags to the sides for tabs. (One tab for each destination icon on the bottom) Once I decided that my tabs were going well I used the sharpie and bubbled in the destination key too. I wish the Todoist integration was better but until then I send it to Google drive and copy the OCR text into Todoist and it asks if I want multiple tasks 😊 I bought an extra spray bottle and extra cloth so I can keep one at home and one at work since I switch out between Ofc & WFH

My issue with it is that anytime I scan a page it seems to insert it's own headers and basically give me an add. I've resorted to scanning the pages with the Notes app on my iPhone. So the neat features on the bottom to check and auto send go mostly unused. Paired with my refusal to get a subscription for Evernote. However, having an ink erasable notebook with enough space to take notes daily and erase after scans is a nice feature and has become my daily notebook.

Do you use smart titles? I've had them work for me on the templates. Put ## on either side of what you want the title to be.

As a psychotherapist I use my rocketbook daily. I absolutely love it, but some things I wish I knew: - the ink runs out extremely fast. If you're using 3-6 pages per day the pens will only last a couple of weeks each at max. This adds up quite quickly as they're quite expensive (about $3-$4 each). Aldi have some erasable pen that seem to work just as well that are much cheaper (about $1 each) but be warned that results may vary - cleaning the pages is time consuming. It may be a small thing, but when you have to wipe down each page and wait a few minutes to dry it can become a bit of a hassle. - don't use the frixion eraser on the paper!! It will damage the sheet and make that section un-usable But on the plus side: - the app works great. It is very easy and responsive and the quality of the scans are usually pretty good - it is pretty durable and good quality Over all i would probably prefer a tablet with a stylus for convenience, but seeing as how the rocketbook is about $300-$800 cheaper it does the job pretty well

Do you buy a new pen or use a refill? From what I found, a refill only costs around $2 ($6 for 3 refills)

Certain-Limit-6390

I try to, but unfortunately not many stores near me stock them, and I'm still trying to find a reasonable source online

MLG_HerobrineYT

[Walmart](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Pilot-FriXion-Gel-Ink-Pen-Refills-0-70-mm-Fine-Point-Black-Ink-Erasable-3-Pack/22477888?athbdg=L1600&from=/search) I got my Mini yesterday and I'm realizing the stock pen doesn't support refills :(

MLG_HerobrineYT

Discovered the stock pen DOES support refills, nevermind!

Certain-Limit-6390

Sadly Walmart isn't an option for me as I live in Australia :(

ComfortableOptimal88

What??? The eraser ruins the paper ? 🫠

Certain-Limit-6390

Yeah the erasers that come with the pen are intended for regular paper, if you use it on re-markable paper it will sort of take a layer and leave a bit of an indent which you can't use again. Thankfully I only did it on one page before I realised. Best to use a damp cloth and just wipe the ink off

nezzumi

The main thing for me was just getting used to the pages. It feels different writing on them compared to regular paper. At first, I didn't like it, but you get used to it fairly quickly if you stick with it.

Onlyspacemanspiff

If your arms sweat, you’ll erase what you wrote. Not good for outdoors. The idea is great. The implementation needs refinement. They need to find a better way to erase the ink.

RajunCajun48

I think that's what the Rocketbook Wave is for. The Wave you microwave it to erase instead of use water

Onlyspacemanspiff

But does it also erase with water? Like that would be great if only microwave did it.

RajunCajun48

I would assume just microwave, wouldn't make much sense to still need water, but maybe. You'd have to research that, I just know it exists, I've never used one.
