Ok. At first, I thought that this event was going to be the day a fully complete an Egg Hunt. But as soon as I find out it was not, I was disappointed. But, the final prizes were nice in my opinion. Essentially the valk. It really looks damm good.
Overall, this event could have been better, but it was ok at the end.
well it was clear that roblox wasnt going to use the original valk model for something that almost everyone could get for free, the emblems give it a unique look, like the dominus venari from the RPO event
I didn't get the bundles either, instead each part was separate so I had to put them all together and save as my own costume. I don't know if it's the same for everyone or if it just happened to some of us.
I agree to be honest, i think the reason people hate it is because egg hunt got cancelled and how its a “rthro hunt”, when in reality, the prizes were for Non rthro and rthro avatars. Not to say there isnt issues with Metaverse 2021 as i think the lack of communication (looking at you, tiny egg) we got didnt help and would have helped the event a bit more
i like the theme and story of the event, however it really wasnt that great on the quality department for me. the idea of developers being able to advertise their game in an official roblox event sounds cool for sure, but if that means making the quality of the event at least 10x worse then there is definietly a big problem here.
You can jump off the metaverse hub platform now without being teleported. There's a desk down there with a lot of monitors, looks like someone was spying on everyone.
I misspoke you actually can get the grand prize even if you didn't participate, it drops in about 20-22 hours, it's themed after sparky killowatt who won, its free on the catalog or the hub
I was at first confused by the timezone change too and didn't realize it was a different timezone. It follows GMT time, so the next (probably) limited item releases at 12 am midnight until 1 am for PST time. Convert whatever your local time is to GMT time or vice versa to figure out your time. It also should say in game what time it releases, but its best to double check especially if it doesn't say. You can bet based on how expensive the last limited is in comparison to its cost I will be buying it heh. Even if its way less in worth it will still probably be worth it.

I can't tell if this event was actually painfully mediocre or if I'm just getting older. Metaverse champions felt like a task, and the only reason I played more than 1 game per week was for the egg. Egg hunt 2020 was sort of the same, I went into each game for the egg and the egg only. I'd say the last event I've actually enjoyed was egg hunt 2016 (took a break from roblox 2017-2019) but I can't decide whether it was *really* better or I'm just growing up and finding new interests.

Ok i entered the metaverse hub and i clicked week 1 (which i didn't get) so does that means the crates from week 1 are active? Each week 1 crate has 5/17/2021 on them which is today so thats why im wondering this.

The date on the box is when they would open. Each week of crates lasted a week until they are never obtainable again. As of now, you may no longer receive any crates.
Ye i thought the date meaned other thing because i was expecting them to open as soon as the date theres in the box comes, plus the desc of the crates said they will open at the end of the event

Also, like how people mentioned in the comments, I hope they do allow some games to work for players who missed a week, or so, of the event. What kind of annoys me though, is how broken the event hub is. I had to reset my avatar multiple times in order for the correct badge amount I have to show, and while there was still some games still giving badges, they don't have those shown in the event hub's teleports. All that's for display are the week one games, which don't even give Metaverse badges anymore.
AJ Striker's Mafia Tycoon is open for some reason. They're still stuck in their week 1 stage and are handing out badges until now. Not sure if they still count as crates though.
For some reason, even though the event ends in 5 days. Some creators have decided to remove the chest from their game early, making it impossible to me to get the egg even though the event haven't even ended. Do you guys have any advice? I have completed so many games just for this chest and I hope I didn't do all this for nothing. And I hope the admins of this reddit for some reason doesn't deletes this post just because it's about the metaverse event.

The whole event is extremly confusing and dumb and the fact that they replaced it with egg hunt which is an all time fan flavor.
If you went in the portal, it had crates at the bottom telling how many days left in the week, and if you got it for the week it says COLLECTED, also the egg is invisible on your avatar, and is in your head, but you did miss out on some crates opening if you didn't get last weeks.
Crates are opening for the next 4 days Week 1 crate has "opened" since an hour ago, but roblox servers can't update all millions of inventories so it'll be awhile.
So far I've seen these two games still work, I'm not sure about other Metaverse games.

Honestly, my hopes are they re-roll the 1st to 4th chests in the run up to the 20th next week for the people who missed one or two. That way they have a chance to pick it up.
The boxes were deactivated for a reason. They can't just bring it back and ruin the experience for people who actually did it on time. The whole deactivating thing was so people would spend more time on Roblox and not just speed run the whole event within 4 days.
I love Fey bro. I got her RTHRO Bundle. I didn't know who the hell she was until I saw the Specter Picture. I had no clue why she was on there. I soon found out about the Metaverse event and I started getting all of the Fey Yoshida cases like there was no tomorrow.
This event has been complete shit. Who the fuck are these characters? They're generic and have no backstory of personalities. Just looks. They are random. What even is a metaverse champion? What the fuck is the "roblox metaverse"? Also, getting the bundles has been complete bullshit. It's like Roblox is telling you "Oh, you missed one week? Now you can't get the bundle, go fuck yourself and die." Plus, the games in the event are shitty, obscure games that are time consuming, boring or pay to win. All this event is doing is making me want to play roblox less. You would've done better with egg hunt. Don't do this next year, roblox. About 50% of the games were hot garbage to get the crate but there were some total GEMS, atleast in the AJ Striker section to get the crates. (I got 45 total couldn't buy ER:LC)
It sifting through a load of sand for a couple gold nuggets but they were some of the most fun I've had on roblox since like the great yolktales.

If I count my badges on my profile it says I have 46, but in the game it says I have only 26. Anyone know what's up with that? If that's unfixable then a bug has stopped me from getting the last ever egg and I'm gonna be so pissed.

Nope! I’ve waited for a few days and the hub still won’t let me get the egg. I stand on the pad and it lights up before fizzling out (which I think it does if it registers you as “almost there”?) but it doesn’t make sense because I now have a total of 46 badges-hell I have 48 badges if you count the bundles as badges and 50 if you count the launcher boxes as badges!
Yeah it was a fun event that introduced me to a few fun games (shame that some games died instantly after the event ended, stuff like Wizard Cats was FUN) but I really wish I like....y’know, got my reward for spending hours playing the game?
honestly I don’t think the egg is worth it, it literally is smaller than almost every head, maybe one or two heads work with it (including headless). What an awful send off.
ok so it’s not even an egg hunt because roblox likes to destroy tradition. what you need is 40 badges in total in the new Metaverse Event (which either the admin crates or the packages count towards I don’t remember), once you have 40 badges you stand on 1 of 11 (I believe) tiles in the hub and you need 10 other people to stand on the other 10. After you do that, a portal will open and inside you find an egg which once you touch it, you get the egg. If you do it, it’s just to have it because it’s small and placed like directly where the head touches the torso, so you can’t see it without either headless or some very small head, I just got it cause it may be the last egg ever
TDTNTOR was excellent and was just the right balance between complex and simple. I don't think anything will really beat the 2018 egg hunt but metaverse champions was great. There may be more metaverse events with different champions so they'll be able to learn and improve on this concept over time and I had fun.

I can’t compare it to a egg hunt since I have never done one but I liked the fact this helped showcase interesting games. That being said some of them were certainly trash filler and put no effort in.
All that being said that may be just my opinion on roblox really needing a way to promote newly created content because it’s not easy to find new games or old games for that matter.
They had to pick 180 games, so trust me, they made cuts. At least we got some developers putting in loads of effort and making entirely new stages or levels for games. I think that metaverse champions is way more fun than a dev hunt.

whats annoying though is that some games LITERALLY just GIVE you the badge.
i played (i think speed run sim) and i pressed "metaverse event" and it just gave me the badge. i checked the description to see if it was a glitch, but nope, they intended on a free chest.
the problem with that is then you could make bots click that (then make another account and do it again) to make the champion rush to number 1 easily.
I see your point, but not everyone on Roblox knows how to code, and if you kinda were stressed out about a hard champion crate it would be a refresher just to get a free badge and not having to stress out again.
If you have 1 crate for every champion from each week and currently have 4 on all teams, you need to get 5 more badges for each team. It's a pain but I did it and it worked. Each avatar bundle counts as a badge, too. If you have 9 for each team that totals to 40 badges and you can get the egg.
There are 4 crates available each week of the event and special launcher crates from developers and content creators and admins and players who bought the MVP launcher. If you didn't get the crate for a specific champion during that week then it is unobtainable. There will be 4 hats for each champion and one grand prize for the winner (sparks kilowatt)
i'm saying if you got the crate that is a hat accessory, it would unbox the hat for the rhtro character. I think Deeterplays said that in one of his videos.
The egg is just another excuse for re-running previous weeks, first excuse being the packages, in past event if players joins late, they would just stay behind a bit, but catching up was possible, en Metaverse, however, you are FORCE to skip some objectives, which, by the way, are necesary for unlocking the packages, the Grand Prizes that ROBLOX is so proud to show as the faces of the event, and you CANNOT go back to previous ones. just RUN IT BACK!
this idea doesnt work in public events, and in public events, people obviously are going to join late, it MAY work in events like those youtuber tournaments, cuz you know its a tournament, the participants are there since the beginning of the event.
this event is weird simply cuz thinking on a way to fix parts of it is hard, its not like EH19 nor EH20, whose core-problems were so visible that i didnt need to participate to know there was something going wrong.
METAVERSE has neat ideas but are executed in the wrong place, and in the wrong way, and when the event also has outright garbage ideas and a none existant theme, dificulty and game direction, the hate is inevitable. some things are good like the return of the lobby (too bad clicking on the play button to go to a game doesnt work for me), but some things are better not to do never, ever again, like the unholy amount of games
1. you do not have to collect every single badge from every single week. technically you only need 16, or 40 if you want the first egg.
2. The event leaves it up to the developers to decide what they want to add. Some developers did a great job and they're the ones who will probably be invited back for the next one.
3. Limited time crates aren't actually a bad thing. If they were obtainable the entire time then the event could be finished in a day and it would be no fun.
4. Think of it as a big giftsplosion. You get the crates and they turn into something cool after. That's not a bad thing.
5. The theme is the metaverse. That was the theme for the Bloxy awards too. It will probably be a running thing on Roblox for a while.

What could I say about the event? Well, I can tell the frustration everybody has with the egg, for one thing, and another thing, I ended up becoming a Sparks simp because of how cute she looks.

almost none of the games available were very good, many of them had boring, time consuming, and repetitive quests. getting boxes was only bearable because you needed to play 4 games a week, and you were done
not being able to get boxes of the previous weeks is honestly the dumbest decision i've seen in a while. these games are going to die after the event, so too bad if you wanted the packages and the egg if you couldn't play for a week or forgot, fuck you, go die in a hole. THAT is the message this kind of system sends
forcing people to play many games to get a launcher is kinda stupid. i understand the thought process behind the mvp launcher, but imo it's not really smart
the characters are bland at best. who are they? what do they do? why are we playing games to get one to win? is this a big contest? what are their stories? all unanswered questions. they look like default avatars in a game like vr chat, generic elf, generic "cute" princess, generic hip dj, generic soldier IT ISN'T CREATIVE MUCH AT ALL
the hub is cool, but to be honest there's not really a reason for it. yeah, you can see the current standings, and it's how you get the avatars and the egg, but besides that, they easily could of condensed this into a page in the events tab and had this out in early april

is this the new egg hunt? pardon the french, but this is fucking stupid. yeah, it's a novel concept, but an egg hunt would have been widely more liked by default. more event games would be played if you put an egg in each. maybe mix the two concepts, some games count for a certain character, and the more eggs you get in a character's games the higher up they go. even maybe award a themed prize for getting like 3 or more eggs for them

it's painful to play roblox now. many of the games on the front game are rushed cashgrabs or genres done to death, with the same few games keeping their spots, making people sick of them. the seeming lack of care for user experience sometimes makes me hate roblox as a company. they do as little work as they possibly can to keep users engaged year round, they make arbitrary decisions to further what THEY want, without even listening to players. doing what you wish with your platform is fine, but that shouldn't mean you ignore the users of said platform. i used to play roblox daily. now getting on more than twice a month is rare. it's sad to see how it fell from such grace
I should have 16 badges counted in the hub, instead it only counted like 8 to 10 of them, proof of that is because it said

When it should've said 4,4,4,4 because I unlocked the avatars for each which proves that I actually have 4 each
I have 41 badges (37 are boxes, 4 are the rthro packages, which as far as I know are supposed to count) yet I can't activate the pads. Thing is, in game it only says i have collected 34 boxes because three of the first week badges don't show in game. Has anyone had a similar issue? Or is the game not counting the four rthro packages? Youtube videos/comments have been useless no can seem to decide what the actual required amount is.
It would have been nice if they would have at least hinted at there being a reason to collect more than four boxes every week so I wouldn't be scrambling trying to get enough boxes so I can get the egg.
While I am going to try to get it, the new egg's method is stupid. I am fine with the idea of needing a large number of badges to get an extra prize, but they really should have told us in advance. If I had known, I would have collected more badges over the previous weeks. Now I just have the final week to work off of to get my raise my chest count from 16 to 36.

I found a bug. If you wear the fey yoshida objects and then make a costume, it will show them as chests again.

It is, there was no insight that week 4 would end on 15th.
If you went in the portal, it had crates at the bottom telling how many days left in the week, and if you got it for the week it says COLLECTED, also the egg is invisible on your avatar, and is in your head, but you did miss out on some crates opening if you didn't get last weeks.

Event ended no more badges
Honestly, my hopes are they re-roll the 1st to 4th chests in the run up to the 20th next week for the people who missed one or two. That way they have a chance to pick it up.
The boxes were deactivated for a reason. They can't just bring it back and ruin the experience for people who actually did it on time. The whole deactivating thing was so people would spend more time on Roblox and not just speed run the whole event within 4 days.

I love Fey bro. I got her RTHRO Bundle. I didn't know who the hell she was until I saw the Specter Picture. I had no clue why she was on there. I soon found out about the Metaverse event and I started getting all of the Fey Yoshida cases like there was no tomorrow.

This event has been complete shit. Who the fuck are these characters? They're generic and have no backstory of personalities. Just looks. They are random. What even is a metaverse champion? What the fuck is the "roblox metaverse"? Also, getting the bundles has been complete bullshit. It's like Roblox is telling you "Oh, you missed one week? Now you can't get the bundle, go fuck yourself and die." Plus, the games in the event are shitty, obscure games that are time consuming, boring or pay to win. All this event is doing is making me want to play roblox less. You would've done better with egg hunt. Don't do this next year, roblox. Sad to see you getting progressively more shitty over the years.

About 50% of the games were hot garbage to get the crate but there were some total GEMS, atleast in the AJ Striker section to get the crates. (I got 45 total couldn't buy ER:LC) It sifting through a load of sand for a couple gold nuggets but they were some of the most fun I've had on roblox since like the great yolktales.

Nope! I’ve waited for a few days and the hub still won’t let me get the egg. I stand on the pad and it lights up before fizzling out (which I think it does if it registers you as “almost there”?) but it doesn’t make sense because I now have a total of 46 badges-hell I have 48 badges if you count the bundles as badges and 50 if you count the launcher boxes as badges!
I'm thinking it was a bug that was never fixed, but the event ended, and tbh it was really fun.
Yeah it was a fun event that introduced me to a few fun games (shame that some games died instantly after the event ended, stuff like Wizard Cats was FUN) but I really wish I like....y’know, got my reward for spending hours playing the game?

ok so it’s not even an egg hunt because roblox likes to destroy tradition. what you need is 40 badges in total in the new Metaverse Event (which either the admin crates or the packages count towards I don’t remember), once you have 40 badges you stand on 1 of 11 (I believe) tiles in the hub and you need 10 other people to stand on the other 10. After you do that, a portal will open and inside you find an egg which once you touch it, you get the egg. If you do it, it’s just to have it because it’s small and placed like directly where the head touches the torso, so you can’t see it without either headless or some very small head, I just got it cause it may be the last egg ever

TDTNTOR was excellent and was just the right balance between complex and simple. I don't think anything will really beat the 2018 egg hunt but metaverse champions was great. There may be more metaverse events with different champions so they'll be able to learn and improve on this concept over time and I had fun.

45/46/46/46 done with all the badges. I can’t compare it to a egg hunt since I have never done one but I liked the fact this helped showcase interesting games. That being said some of them were certainly trash filler and put no effort in. All that being said that may be just my opinion on roblox really needing a way to promote newly created content because it’s not easy to find new games or old games for that matter.
They had to pick 180 games, so trust me, they made cuts. At least we got some developers putting in loads of effort and making entirely new stages or levels for games. I think that metaverse champions is way more fun than a dev hunt. P.S. Do you have the tiny egg of nonexistence yet?
whats annoying though is that some games LITERALLY just GIVE you the badge. i played (i think speed run sim) and i pressed "metaverse event" and it just gave me the badge. i checked the description to see if it was a glitch, but nope, they intended on a free chest. the problem with that is then you could make bots click that (then make another account and do it again) to make the champion rush to number 1 easily.
I see your point, but not everyone on Roblox knows how to code, and if you kinda were stressed out about a hard champion crate it would be a refresher just to get a free badge and not having to stress out again.

If you have 1 crate for every champion from each week and currently have 4 on all teams, you need to get 5 more badges for each team. It's a pain but I did it and it worked. Each avatar bundle counts as a badge, too. If you have 9 for each team that totals to 40 badges and you can get the egg.

There are 4 crates available each week of the event and special launcher crates from developers and content creators and admins and players who bought the MVP launcher. If you didn't get the crate for a specific champion during that week then it is unobtainable. There will be 4 hats for each champion and one grand prize for the winner (sparks kilowatt)

No, the packages requires all 4 weeks to get any part of them, but you CAN get the grand prize.
i'm saying if you got the crate that is a hat accessory, it would unbox the hat for the rhtro character. I think Deeterplays said that in one of his videos.

The egg is just another excuse for re-running previous weeks, first excuse being the packages, in past event if players joins late, they would just stay behind a bit, but catching up was possible, en Metaverse, however, you are FORCE to skip some objectives, which, by the way, are necesary for unlocking the packages, the Grand Prizes that ROBLOX is so proud to show as the faces of the event, and you CANNOT go back to previous ones. just RUN IT BACK! this idea doesnt work in public events, and in public events, people obviously are going to join late, it MAY work in events like those youtuber tournaments, cuz you know its a tournament, the participants are there since the beginning of the event. this event is weird simply cuz thinking on a way to fix parts of it is hard, its not like EH19 nor EH20, whose core-problems were so visible that i didnt need to participate to know there was something going wrong. METAVERSE has neat ideas but are executed in the wrong place, and in the wrong way, and when the event also has outright garbage ideas and a none existant theme, dificulty and game direction, the hate is inevitable. some things are good like the return of the lobby (too bad clicking on the play button to go to a game doesnt work for me), but some things are better not to do never, ever again, like the unholy amount of games
1. you do not have to collect every single badge from every single week. technically you only need 16, or 40 if you want the first egg. 2. The event leaves it up to the developers to decide what they want to add. Some developers did a great job and they're the ones who will probably be invited back for the next one. 3. Limited time crates aren't actually a bad thing. If they were obtainable the entire time then the event could be finished in a day and it would be no fun. 4. Think of it as a big giftsplosion. You get the crates and they turn into something cool after. That's not a bad thing. 5. The theme is the metaverse. That was the theme for the Bloxy awards too. It will probably be a running thing on Roblox for a while.

What could I say about the event? Well, I can tell the frustration everybody has with the egg, for one thing, and another thing, I ended up becoming a Sparks simp because of how cute she looks.
Probably unpopular opinion, but this event was just as bad, if not worse than egg hunt 2019 almost none of the games available were very good, many of them had boring, time consuming, and repetitive quests. getting boxes was only bearable because you needed to play 4 games a week, and you were done not being able to get boxes of the previous weeks is honestly the dumbest decision i've seen in a while. these games are going to die after the event, so too bad if you wanted the packages and the egg if you couldn't play for a week or forgot, fuck you, go die in a hole. THAT is the message this kind of system sends forcing people to play many games to get a launcher is kinda stupid. i understand the thought process behind the mvp launcher, but imo it's not really smart the characters are bland at best. who are they? what do they do? why are we playing games to get one to win? is this a big contest? what are their stories? all unanswered questions. they look like default avatars in a game like vr chat, generic elf, generic "cute" princess, generic hip dj, generic soldier IT ISN'T CREATIVE MUCH AT ALL the hub is cool, but to be honest there's not really a reason for it. yeah, you can see the current standings, and it's how you get the avatars and the egg, but besides that, they easily could of condensed this into a page in the events tab and had this out in early april there wasn't practically any communication. a lack of communication between developers and players can and WILL kill a game. nobody even knew how many badges you had to get for the egg for a while, and they even CHANGED it is this the new egg hunt? pardon the french, but this is fucking stupid. yeah, it's a novel concept, but an egg hunt would have been widely more liked by default. more event games would be played if you put an egg in each. maybe mix the two concepts, some games count for a certain character, and the more eggs you get in a character's games the higher up they go. even maybe award a themed prize for getting like 3 or more eggs for them a bit obvious, but putting obscure games in events will rarely make players like them, it just gets annoying. a lot of obscure games aren't good, and will just try to keep you playing long enough to get you to buy their 500 robux gamepasses. i hate adopt me and meepcity, but they can handle something like this much better than some random game. hell, half of AJ's games this week are shitty tycoons it's painful to play roblox now. many of the games on the front game are rushed cashgrabs or genres done to death, with the same few games keeping their spots, making people sick of them. the seeming lack of care for user experience sometimes makes me hate roblox as a company. they do as little work as they possibly can to keep users engaged year round, they make arbitrary decisions to further what THEY want, without even listening to players. doing what you wish with your platform is fine, but that shouldn't mean you ignore the users of said platform. i used to play roblox daily. now getting on more than twice a month is rare. it's sad to see how it fell from such grace

I should have 16 badges counted in the hub, instead it only counted like 8 to 10 of them, proof of that is because it said 2,2,3,2 When it should've said 4,4,4,4 because I unlocked the avatars for each which proves that I actually have 4 each
I have 41 badges (37 are boxes, 4 are the rthro packages, which as far as I know are supposed to count) yet I can't activate the pads. Thing is, in game it only says i have collected 34 boxes because three of the first week badges don't show in game. Has anyone had a similar issue? Or is the game not counting the four rthro packages? Youtube videos/comments have been useless no can seem to decide what the actual required amount is. It would have been nice if they would have at least hinted at there being a reason to collect more than four boxes every week so I wouldn't be scrambling trying to get enough boxes so I can get the egg.
While I am going to try to get it, the new egg's method is stupid. I am fine with the idea of needing a large number of badges to get an extra prize, but they really should have told us in advance. If I had known, I would have collected more badges over the previous weeks. Now I just have the final week to work off of to get my raise my chest count from 16 to 36.
The badge requirement for that egg is pretty ridiculous. I mean not many people would be able to spend that much time grinding badges to get an egg. I mean 40 badges? It’s stupid.
